The floorboards of this room creak as the large and mosquito-faced noble flails and attempts to regain a grip on the interloper as her body continues to flinch and swell in ways unnatural for a human.
And then the floorboards break under both the Countess and Kamui.

But the basement floor holds, as both combatants splash down into what in the dark could be mistaken for merely a lot of flooding of the basement level by... Wine? Hopefully?
The Countess, Kalosian noblewear tattered and body still swelling and heaving, looks stunned for the moment. A moment to run, perhaps? Or are you staying to fight this creature?

It's probably bad form to Elan out in the middle of a mission but we're literally the background fight that's supposed to contrast with the main event: Jackal versus Delta, the hero against his villain. Taking over the vessel's servers puts us in a position of 'doing something else' while he goes off alone to a solo duel.
-She shrugs and resumes the chase down the halls, still pontificating on plot beats-
We're going to crush our way to the control room, take over the servers, our Porygon is going to boot up the security cameras and— shock and horror, the one on one duel between our leader and these peon's leader isn't going well for our leader! Either it's a Pyrrhic victory for us where our leader is taken out of action either temporarily or permanently while the villain escapes or alternately once we see how badly it's going someone—
-She gives an LED-eyes wink at Fox-
—is going to do "we need to help!" and run off to provide backup. I can't be the only one who gets how these things go, yeah?
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

"Alright, then," said Catarina, grabbing a chocolate souffle for Gav and a Poffin for Chris. "Here you go. Eat up!"
She sat back down at the table and began to eat her cheese souffle. Kouchirou, meanwhile, glanced over at the picture of Cole on the table, then turned to Mitchell.
"I'm sure Cole would have been very happy to meet you," he said.

Freddie was knocked backwards again, but refused to go down.
However, he didn't bother waggling his gripper again. Instead, he put his grippers together, and shadowy energy began to form between them. Soon afterwards, he shot it out at Simon.
Simon, meanwhile, raised his hand and met Freddie's Shadow Ball with his own, staring down the Secret Agent Pokémon with a determined look in his eye. Eventually, the two Shadow Balls met in the middle- and then promptly exploded in a burst of shadowy energy that knocked both Freddie and Simon backwards.
Freddie eventually managed to push himself back up- but looked much the worse for wear.
Kim looked over at Freddie with concern.
"Oh dear," she muttered.

"...well," said Braker.
<That had to have hurt a lot,> said Walter. <Even so, though, the idea of using Shadow Ball against Simon was certainly a good idea on Freddie's part.>
<As was Simon's idea of using another Shadow Ball against his,> said Cuddles. <Thank goodness he's okay, at the very least...>

She paused for a bit- before ultimately glancing back up with a look of determination.
"Oh, we're not going down yet," she said. "Freddie! Use Snipe Shot!"
Freddie glanced down at his gripper for a few moments- then eventually nodded, shakily holding up his gripper and shooting water out of its tip towards Simon.
The Snipe Shot struck Simon and threw him backwards.
The moment he saw that, Freddie's eyes went wide in shock and he ran over to Simon, horrified.
<O-oh no- oh my- oh dear- oh dear god- a-are you okay- please say something- I- I hope I didn't...>
But he was interrupted midway through his sentence by Simon releasing out a burst of psychic energy and throwing Freddie into the nearby wall. Simon then pulled himself back to his feet and stretched.
<Whew!> he said, breathing a sigh of relief. <That's the last time I let my guard down...>
"Freddie!" cried Kim.
Wyndon Stadium- Stands
"Ohhh no he's down," said Braker.
<Well... it was good that Freddie was so concerned about him~!> said Cuddles.
<Bear in mind that Defense and Special Defense are among Inteleon's weakest stats,> said Walter. <Knowing how Freddie usually tends to use Snipe Shot as a last resort, I feel as though Simon's next move will take him out.>

The dust eventually subsided, and Freddie promptly pushed himself back up, shaking off the damage for a moment before blinking. The Safeguard bubble, meanwhile, finally vanished- but Freddie didn't notice.
<I... I'm okay...> he muttered.
"That's good," said Kim. "Alright, then! Keep going!"
And Freddie obliged, gazing over at Simon with tears coming to his eyes.
Simon just smirked, raising the pendulum to eye level and shifting his wrist ever so slightly. This shift, though slight, was enough to cause the pendulum to start swaying back and forth, with light glistening off the silvery coin.
<I knew you would try to protect yourself using Safeguard,> he said, <so Evelyn and I coordinated each move as a means to stall until the Safeguard ran out.>
<H-huh-?!>
And Freddie looked down- and realized that, sure enough, the Safeguard had run out. Freddie's eyes- and Kim's- widened in shock as it suddenly hit them as to exactly what Simon was planning next.

"His Safeguard's gone down," muttered Braker, glancing down. "A downright shame he never got a chance to use his strategy."
<The Tearful Look was a good strategy, though,> said Walter.
<...ohhh no is he planning to use Hypnosis?!> Cuddles cried.
Braker, Walter, and Caboose turned to face the stadium, and Braker looked down nervously upon seeing what was going on.
"Oh no," he muttered.

"Gah...!" cried Kim. "I never taught him Snore, either..."
And then it hit her.
"Freddie!" she cried. "Close your eyes and look away!"
<R-right...!>
And Freddie desperately did just that, hoping that the Hypnosis wouldn’t hit him.
<Made you look...> Simon muttered to himself, smirking.
Simon then let loose with a Psyshock attack while Freddie's eyes were covered. For all Simon knew, Freddie never saw it coming.
And the Psyshock attack, naturally, hit.
Kim grimaced, having been just as blindsided as Freddie had been. She watched in desperation as Freddie's body slammed into the wall. When the cloud of dust eventually faded, Freddie was lying on the ground with swirly eyes.
<Oh dear...> he muttered weakly.
The crowd lost their minds.
Kim glanced down, looking over at Simon with a look of slight despair in her eyes.
"Of course," she muttered to herself. "Defense and Special Defense are Inteleon's lowest stats..."
She glanced down at Freddie and smiled slightly, before taking out his PokeBall and returning him to it.
"You did great, Freddie," she said. "You deserve a rest."
Wyndon Stadium- Stands
"Aaaaaand Freddie's down," said Braker.
<Awwww...> Caboose muttered.
<A shame...> said Cuddles sadly.
<A shame indeed,> said Walter. <Then again, as Kim said, Defense and Special Defense are Inteleon's lowest stats, and Hypno is a physical attacker.>
"Indeed," said Braker. "Let's hope that Kim's next mon is able to take Simon out."

She put Freddie's PokeBall away before taking out another one.
"Alright, then," she said. "Hopefully, this next mon of mine will be able to do enough damage to knock Simon out."
And with that said, she threw the PokeBall into the air.
"Red alert, Kaylan!" she cried.
The ball opened, and Kaylan emerged from it. He glanced over at Simon for a few moments.
<O-oh!> he said. <It's Simon! I can handle him... I think.>
"I have a feeling you'll be able to," said Kim. "Start it off!"
Kaylan nodded, and then proceeded to shoot out vines from the bushes on his back that started to glow green. The vines then wrapped themselves around Simon.
<Oho...> said Simon, realizing exactly what Kaylan was getting at. <You're trying to end this quickly. Allow me to help you...>''
Simon stomped his foot against the ground as he channeled all the energy he had into a single point. He then opened his mouth, drawing ambient energy from the air into his mouth until it started to glow orange.
Kaylan's eyes went wide.
<KAYLAN! THIS IS THE LAST OF MY ENERGY!> cried Simon. <TAKE THIS!!!>
Simon then fired a massive orange blast of pure energy at Kaylan.
Or, at least, he planned to.
Because right before the orange beam hit him...
<Sorry, not today!>
Kaylan promptly stomped onto the floor and set up a blue barrier in front of him.
Simon, too exhausted to move, fell to his knees- and then the vines around him glowed as the very last of his energy drained out of him.
Kaylan's bushes, meanwhile, glowed- even if it didn't end up doing anything for him in the long run thanks to Protect.
<Wow...> Simon muttered, weakly. <Rude...>
Wyndon Stadium- Stands
<He got 'em!> cheered Caboose.
<Yaaay, Kaylan~!> cried Cuddles.
<Definitely a good move on Kim's part to use Kaylan against Simon in the final stretch,> said Walter.
"Yep. Protect and Leech Seed helped a lot with that," said Braker. "Now... all we have to do is wait to see what Evelyn's next mon is."
The Carnival
Ollie, Mito, Teru, and especially Uefo gazed in awe at all of the fun things surrounding them. Roller coasters, carnival rides, fun games, and so on were everywhere. He looked on in shock, for a few moments forgetting about the possibility of Templars being there.
"T-this looks... amazing!" he cried. "There's so many fun things to do here! W-where should we go first? The fun house? The carnival games? I-I'm definitely not going on any of the rides, though, t-they look dangerous..."
<That's alright,> said Teru. <You don't have to go on the rides if you don't want to.>
<I think we should try the fun house first!> said Mito.
<...The human games look fun!> cried Uefo.
Ollie blinked.
"I... I think I'll go with Mito's suggestion," he said.
With that said, he headed over to the fun house— but not before overhearing something said by Vana that caused his eyes to go wide and him to look back.
W-wait a minute... thought Ollie to himself. W-what does she mean "this could be one of the last fun days we get"? I-is she going back to the School? Does she know about any Templars...? Or...
And then it slowly began to dawn on him as he shook his head.
No... no... he thought to himself. S-she can't be... she couldn't be...
Mito noticed his Trainer's expression and turned to him in concern.
<Ollie?> asked Mito. <I-is there something wrong?>
Ollie paused for a few moments, then shook his head.
"U-um... no," he lied. "N-nothing's wrong. L-let's just head over to the fun house, okay...?"
<...O...kay...> said Mito, still a bit confused.
The group promptly headed over to the fun house, with Ollie glancing over at Vana and her mons all the while.
Outside of Oreburgh City- Post-Capture
Owen was now sitting on a grassy plain just outside of Oreburgh City— no mons were beside him. For a few moments he sat there, glancing out towards the direction of his next destination- Eterna City. It continued until all of a sudden, he heard one of his PokeBalls suddenly open in front of him.
"H-huh?" he asked.
He glanced up and noticed Chasmo standing in front of him, with a look of concern on his face.
"C-Chasmo?" he muttered. "W-what are you doing here?"
<Well...> he began, staring over at the three new captures. <I'm a... bit worried 'bout the Anorith, ta say the least. His name's Anomalo, right?>
Owen blinked in confusion- and then noticed where Chasmo was turning to look.
"Oh, you're worried about Anomalo?" he asked.
Chasmo nodded.
"He'll be fine," said Owen. "I know he's blind, but we can help accommodate for that. Hasslemon already has text-to-speech, so..."
<Yeah, but how's he gon' battle if he can't see the opponent?> asked Chasmo.
Owen blinked.
"Okay, now I have no clue what you're saying," he said.
Chasmo sighed, then tapped Nautilu's PokeBall. In an instant, Nautilu emerged and turned to face Chasmo.
<Ah, Chasmo,> he said. <What is it?>
<Ya think you could tell 'im what we talked about with Anomalo?> he asked.
<Ah. Certainly,> said Nautilu, approaching Owen. <Chasmo has some... concerns, to say the least, about whether or not Anomalo can battle despite his handicap. I... don't think he's incapable of doing so, but regardless->
"Wait," said Owen, holding a hand up to silence him. "You're saying that you're concerned that Anomalo can't battle since he's blind?"
<...in essence, yes,> said Nautilu.
"He'll be fine," said Owen. "Zubat and Zwelious are blind, and they can battle just—"
<GAH!>
He was almost immediately interrupted by the sight of Anomalo bursting out of his PokeBall and frantically running around in circles, touching everything he could find and sobbing profusely. Chasmo and Nautilu both stepped back, concerned, and Owen just blinked.
"A-Anomalo?!" he asked. "W-what's going on? A-are you okay?"
Anomalo shook his head, still running around.
<D-don't mention battling to me— p-please—> he muttered. <I don't remember much of anything, b-but— I do know t-that I was in a battle with a Tyrantrum b-before I b-blacked out— w-where are my parents where are my parents why can't I seeeeee...?>
He started bawling, slamming his claws into the ground. In an instant, all of Owen's other Pokemon suddenly emerged from their PokeBalls and glanced over at Anomalo with concern.
Eurypedis and Cephalo in particular looked at each other before going up to Anomalo.
<Anomalo?> asked Eurypedis. <Are you alright, by any chance?>
Anomalo turned to face them.
<W-where...? Where am I...? Who are you guys...?>
<Alright, calm down,> said Chasmo, going up to Anomalo and nudging him with his foot. <We'll 'splain everythin' to ya, don't worry.>
<R-really...?> said Anomalo.
<Of course we will,> said Stipax, placing a pedipalp on Anomalo's shoulder. <We're going to teach you everything.>
Anomalo sniffled. <O-okay... A-are you going to help me find my parents, too...?>
Stipax, Chasmo, Nautilu, Cephalo, and Saura- who was half-awake- just glanced at each other. Anomalo, meanwhile, was feeling Stipax all over, and his eyes went wide as he practically melted into Stipax's body.
<So... you wanna tell 'im or...?> asked Saura.
Cephalo glanced down and fiddled with his claws. <I... don't really know if I wanna say it, or even if I can, ya know what I mean?>
<I think I should be the one to say it,> said Chasmo.
Stipax glanced over at the nearly-sleeping Anomalo. <That's fine with me!>
<So fluffyyyyy~> Anomalo cooed.
Stipax giggled.
<I... think he'll need that comfort, considering the thing you're about to tell him,> said Nautilu.
<Yep,> said Chasmo, walking over to Anomalo. <Aight, Anomalo. I... didn't really wanna be the one ta have ta tell you this, but...>
He paused, glancing down at the floor before ultimately responding.
<Well... I'm sorry ta say this, but your parents are looooong dead. And you died too, at least 'til you were revived from yer fossil.>
Anomalo was still snuggling up to Stipax when he suddenly heard Chasmo. His head jerked upwards, and he just stood stock still for a few moments before he tearfully croaked out:
<T-they're... they're dead...?>
<Well, if the last thing you remember was a Tyrantrum attackin' ya and ya still think yer in prehistoric times... then yeah,> said Chasmo.
<...I... I'm dead...?> said Anomalo, teary-eyed.
<Nononono, yer not dead right now; you died before. O-Owen revived ya.>
<...oh...> muttered Anomalo. <So... so you're not my parents...?>
<Nope,> said Stipax sadly.
Anomalo just stood there for a few more moments, with tears coming down his face— until he began to let out painful, profuse sobs into Stipax's back. Stipax pet him with his pedipalp, and Crina, Nautilu, Teryx, Saura, and Steggy all looked at him with concern. Eurypedis went up to him and knelt in front of him as best he could, and Cephalo glanced down at the ground, trying not to cry.
Owen, meanwhile, glanced down at the sobbing Anomalo with sympathy.
"I-it's alright, Anomalo," he said. "I know that Chasmo seems scary, but he's really not. Y-you'll see."
He turned to face Chasmo— with a bit of a glare, which was somewhat surprising to the mild-mannered Bastiodon.
"Chasmo, did you really have to scare Anomalo like that?" he asked. "You just made him cry harder."
<Hey, hey, hey! W-what's goin' on...?> cried Chasmo in confusion. <I didn't scare him, honest! I just told 'im what was goin' on with 'is parents, and I'm plannin' ta tell him more!>
<He doesn't speak much Monese, remember?> asked Nautilu.
<...oh, right,> said Chasmo, somewhat embarrassed. <Certainly doesn't speak the Shieldon dialect, evidently.>
<Allow me,> said Nautilu. <Chasmo was merely informing Anomalo that his parents were likely dead.>
"Oh," said Owen. "Sorry about that, Chasmo."
<Ah, it's no problem,> said Chasmo.
Grand Underground- Heracles Battle
"Alright, then," said Braker, turning to face Walter, Cuddles, and Caboose. "You three can step to the side for this battle; I've got a very particular mon in mind that I want to use— and it's one that I haven't used at all yet in battle."
He took out a PokeBall and threw it.
"Snoop, you're on the air!" he cried.

<Only in the event that the one that they call Braker is able to defeat the one that they call Heracles in a battle, then yes, I will be joining in on what they refer to as a team,> said Heracles.
<Ah, so you're gonna battle for it,> said Snoop. <Alrighty then! Let the games begin!>
<...the one that they call Heracles does not see battling as a game,> said Heracles.
<Well, the one that they call Snoop does,> said Snoop. <So! Here's the goal. The object of the game is simple. You get hit by a move, you have to answer a question. You get all of them right, you get caught. Does that sound good to you at all?>
Heracles paused for a second, then nodded. <While the one that they call Heracles mainly relies on his battling prowess, he is also rather intelligent. However, it is only fair to the one that they call Snoop that if he gets hit by one of my moves, he must also answer my own questions.>
Snoop nodded. <You're on!>
Meanwhile, Caboose, Cuddles, and Walter looked on with curiosity.
<Of course Snoop would treat battles like a full-blown game show,> said Walter.

"Much as I do feel we should turn back and assist Jackal, I get the feeling that Delta will not kill him or pursue us. This assault will end with one of them settling the score, and, take it from another fox, I know not to interfere!"

As Kamui fell, clamoring for something to grab hold of, something opened and she landed on someone soft and sticky, whose landing caused a wave to crest from around him, supplemented by an Aqua Tail composed of the red substance beneath his feet.
"Thanks, Lilac!" Kamui acknowledged her Shiny Goodra as the Dragon-type helped get her off. She looked down at her slime-coated clothes, dismissing the thought as Lilac covered her escape.
"Katsuragi! Kare no dasshū ni tetsudatte kure!note " She commanded to the aether, throwing up Lilac's Pokeball as a shadowy tendril caught it.
As Kamui bolted, Katsuragi landed. "You who would make an attempt on my lady's life," he seethed. "You will not escape alive!"
Contest Combat
Helmsman held up his seamitar, Air Slash forming on its blade and picking up the leaves that had been fired at him. He turned the leaves back on their thrower, as Kamui's tails reflexively catch fire striking against the ground as she keeps her focus, all nine of them placing flames in midair.
"9..." Kendall noticed, counting as the first line formed.
Kamui's tails made a second line, perpendicular to the first, the wisps spreading to create a grid of flame.
"81...
A third line of nine flame replicated the flame grid, creating a cube of fire that coalesced into a fireball as big as the fox who summoned it.
She leaped aside, letting Simon's assault be consumed by the fire, and hopefully also consuming Simon.
Vs. Radon
Kendall chuckled. Far be it from him to admit he was a paragon of any sort, but damn if he didn't admire Gale for knowing what she was and how to shut Radon down. Years on end in the Team did that, he figured, completely ignoring Sylveon's errant assault, pointing a pink laser at Radon that detonated into sparkles on contact.

"Seems it did," Kendall observed, his double fading away as Kamui returned herself, drained.
Kendall leaned over, summoning a floating [Master Hand] from his own to hold the book up to him and Ann.

Some time later, Laurie and D'Autry had finished, and were now about to head off to bed. Laurie stopped in the middle of their bedroom to glance around at it, knowing it had been about a year since they had last been there. The room was almost entirely blue, save for a few yellow mementos and plushies of the Sandshrew and Galvantula lines. Their bed was striped yellow and blue, and they had a massive CD player (but no radio) in their room, along with a computer and tons of paper that they had written on.
These were the desperate experiments that Laurie had done in order to try and get Cole out of Hisui. Nothing had worked.
Besides that, though, they had a ton of books in Kalosian on their shelves, as well as lots of albums from the likes of Disturbed, Slipknot (the band), Five Finger Death Punch, Flogging Molly, Johnny Cash, CCR, and the like.
Laurie sighed, turning down to face D'Autry.
"Well, D'Autry," they said, "what a day it has been."
<Yeah...> said D'Autry.
Laurie promptly turned back towards the staircase.
"Mitchell!" they cried. "You coming?"

"I'm coming," Mitchell says in a stage whisper, as he climbs up the staircase. In his arms, he carries his bed clothes, a rolled-up sleeping bag, various toiletries, and the sleeping forms of Gav and Chris.
When he reaches the top of the stairs, Mitchell peeks into Laurie's bedroom, and he sees both Laurie and D'Autry there. "I'll be with you in a second," he whispers. "I just have to change and do my business in the bathroom, okay?"

Vana rushes through the crowd, stopping only to make sure that Stewart is following her as she expected him to. He would lose her in the crowd for a moment due to her being very short, but a moment later she appears next to him holding a big piece of candy floss in each hand.
She extends one towards him. "Here, take this." She then points to the ferris wheel nearby. "Do you want to take a ride? I bet the views from there are amazing." She doesn't vocalise the thought that it's also an excellent place to have a private conversation.

An armored person riding an equally intimidating armored mudsdale gallops around the sub, followed by a menagerie of armored pokémon doing a number on any henchperson they could find. She manages to corral a group of grunts together with a gogoat, tauros, seviper, and infernape.
Apparently, her being able to imitate the Akira slide on a noble steed without causing injury was enough to stupefy them to submission. A group of intimidating armored livestock.
Taipan: Alright folks. Y'all are coming clean with us. You'll sing like fletchlings on court and we'll take it easy on you. I and my companions have wiped the floor with various anonymous henchpersons over the past few years. I know how to deal with your little toys and know every trick up your sleeve, and a few you think I didn't know. What makes you think you could even say "RIP to the others but I'm different?" when the only thing protecting you until this point was a seemingly invisible ship?
Henchgal: Well it worked before, didn't it?
Henchenby: I dunno. She drives a hard bargain.

In a flash of light, Kako emerged from the PokeBall, staring over at Kaylan as he pirouetted onto the floor.

"And there's my answer," Braker said. "She's using Kako."
<How can she tell which one's Kako and which one's Mirai?> asked Caboose.
<I think that she's planning to evolve one of them into a Gallade and one of them into a Gardevoir,> said Cuddles.

Kim glanced over at Kako for a few moments, then turned to face Kaylan.
"Alright, Kaylan," she said. "You know what to do."
Kaylan nodded. <Right!>
And he proceeded to turn around, with his tail glowing a silvery light, and strike at Kako.
Or at least, he tried to.
"Kako!" cried Evelyn. "Pirouette dodge, then use Icy Wind!"
"Kaylan!" cried Kim. "Look out!"
<H-huh?!>
Kako pirouetted out of the way of Kaylan's Iron Tail attack before he glowed with a bright blue aura. He then drew a magic circle in front of him and with a breath, unleashed an icy cold wind at Kaylan.
Fortunately for Kaylan, however, his defense was massive enough that he was mostly able to tank the supereffective hit and shrug off most of the damage.
He also managed to eat some of the ice in the process.

<Heehee~!> Cuddles giggled. <He ate the ice! ...but even so, his mouth must be frozen... I- I should probably give him a Aspear Berry after the battle is finished...>

"Kaylan!" cried Kim. "Are you okay?"
Kaylan spit out a bit of the ice particles before turning to face his Trainer.
<Oh, um... yeah, I'm still good,> he said.
"Alright, then," she said. "Hit 'im with a Leech Seed!"
Kaylan nodded, instantly releasing out the glowing green vines from his bushes and wrapping them around Kako.
Of course, despite the Leech Seed that had just been put onto Kako, Evelyn still refused to go down.
"Alright, Kako!" cried Evelyn. "Hit him with Psychic! Then return!"
Kako's eyes proceeded to glow a sapphire blue as he unleashed a field of psychic energy at Kaylan, lifting the Grove Pokémon into the air before slamming him into the ground. Evelyn then called Kako back to his Poké Ball, which ripped the vines from the Leech Seed from him.-
And once again, Kaylan tanked the hit. Thank goodness for absurdly high Special Defense.
Evelyn promptly proceeded to take out another PokeBall and throw it into the air.
"AXON, WORK YOUR MAGIC!" she cried.
Axon soon emerged from the PokeBall in a flash of light.
The crowd, knowing exactly what was about to happen, began to cheer louder than ever.

<Indeed,> said Walter. <And you know what that means...>

Kaylan nodded. <Yeah, that Psychic took a lot out of me.>
"Alright, then," she said, pulling out Kaylan's PokeBall. "Return."
Kaylan was promptly returned to his PokeBall in a burst of red light. Kim put it away, then took out another PokeBall, staring down at it for a few moments.
"...I think I have an idea of what you're planning to do," she said. "Unfortunately, however, I already used Grohl, so using him would be a bit too predictable. That being said, though... I do have another idea. I'm just not necessarily certain he'd be all that okay with it. But considering what happened about a year or so ago..."
She threw the PokeBall into the air.
"...it's a risk I'm willing to take! RED ALERT, ORWELL!"

Ingrid and Ananpi proceeded to step into the Hulbury Gym and head over to the woman at the desk.
"W-we're here to take on Nessa," said Ingrid.
The woman, who had been glancing down at papers just moments before, looked up and noticed Ingrid and Ananpi there.
"Ahh, hello there! Challenger 115!" she said. "Great to see you again! You're here to take on Nessa? Right, then, please get changed into your Gym uniform in the changing rooms over there."
Ingrid nodded, and Ananpi jumped off of her shoulder.
"Alright, then," she said. "See you, Ananpi."
<Bye, chuu~!> said Ananpi.
Ingrid smiled over at him, then headed over to the changing room and shut the door. The second she was gone, Ananpi turned to face the camera.
<Aaaalright~!> he said. <Cue the transition, chuu~!>
A FEW MINUTES LATER...
Hulbury Stadium Entrance Room
A few minutes later, Ingrid emerged from the changing room in her Gym Challenge uniform. She turned to look at Ananpi.
"Alright, Ananpi," she said. "Are you ready to enter the puzzle room?"
<I sure am, chuu~!> cried Ananpi, jumping onto Ingrid's shoulder.
And with that said, the two of them began to head off to the puzzle room.

Vana waits until the ferris wheel has carried the pair to about a third of its full rotation before beginning to talk.

A few minutes later, Mitchell exits the bathroom, now dressed in the bed clothes he had just carried, and carrying his old clothes along with the other items he had brought up. Quietly, he enters:
He looks around the very blue room, looking for an appropriate spot to roll out his sleeping bag. As he does so, he whispers a question to Laurie.
"Is there anything you need to tell me," he asks, "before we sleep? You know, in case we don't see each other tomorrow morning."

Stewart: Yeah, I am. Just like Rusty. I was made quite some time ago, while Rusty was made just last year. We both have magnet powers.
He paused. Beck had earlier suggested that he may be triggering terrible memories because he resembled a templar, which he had asked the children earlier. Those went unconfirmed until now.
Stewart: I wouldn't be surprised if your old templar "friend" had magnet powers too. They always give Irons experimental magnet powers, and so do any templars they make from our DNA. This templar. The fella who looks like me. What're they like?
Below them, the rattata looks up at the Ferris Wheel.
Willard: <Would you like to know where they are, sir?>
Mysterious presence: ~I won't need to. I can already sense everything you see.~
Willard: <How awkward of me to forget, master.>
Mysterious presence: ~They didn't have anything on them I can jump to. Think you can climb up there?~
Willard: <Seems a touch risky, sir, would it not be more prudent to wait for them to go down.>
Hemo: ~Or you could wait for them to go down, bud. They'll gladly fill you in if you ask nicely enough.~
Mysterious presence: ~Who are you?!~
Willard: <I certainly didn't see her coming.>
Hemo: ~I'm with the tall guy with the magnet powers. You seem to be cut from the same cloth. You're human aren't you?~
Mysterious presence: ~I came from a human. That is all there is to that.~
Hemo: ~Disembodied human consciousness, got it. I do know that you're one of those kids. Yeah, Beckett told us all about you and the rat.~

Percy: Ever? The blue person with the arm? I can't picture them...doing anything, actually. At all.
-she digests what Hiro says, before nodding-
-while Apple-A-Day still looks uncomfortable, less because of the interpersonal questions and more because of the very casual discussion of killing people-
Percy: Sure. I don't think I have those qualms.

Percy: Yeah. No. I'm sure this team is reasonably competent or they wouldn't have survived doing what they do, but...it's hard to be optimistic.

Percy: Wrong Nitrogen. I don't know that one. Mine's Phantom Class, like me. Short, air manipulator. And she's gotten really good at it. Unlike me, she's stayed in practice. I could see her snuffing out a conjured flame.

-she starts flying in a highly defined pattern, scattering bright scales-

Solace: <If you were smarter, you'd have gone for the finish right away.>
-she bolts forward, into the cloud of scales-
<Silver Wind, maybe. Is that something you're able to learn?>
-she cuts into the ground with tail, horn, and claws, loosening sharp-edged rocks-
<Really, anything but handing me the first move would've been a good pick.>
-and with a whirl, agitates the air around her, clearing the space of scales and sending needles of stone shooting outwards-

-for a moment, Dustox is hidden among the shining cloud-
-the shrapnel punctures it-
-and Dustox is still there, higher up in the air, unharmed-
