• Heartwarming Moments:
  • During Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes 7 ft. Luigi, when Luigi gets upset at a meme of Joker performing his neutral special on him, Mario is quick to excuse himself and even quicker to punch Joker so hard he explodes. Once again, his Big Brother Instinct shines through, and he and Luigi share a happy fist bump.
  • In Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes 11 ft. Meggy, a meme of the infamous Secret of the Village Underside presses Mario's Trauma Button. Seeing this, Meggy gets mad, and pays a visit to Delfino Plaza... packing a gigantic Killer Wail.

• Hilarious in Hindsight: The 8th Nintendo Memes video features Mario watching the trailer for Disney Dreamlight Valley, after which he transports Mickey Mouse into a large empty room and tells Mickey that it's full of all the people who asked for such a game. Ironically, the game would go on to receive very positive reception and become a Sleeper Hit (to the point that it was upgraded to a full retail release rather than staying free-to-play as initially planned), with a significant community around the game springing up as early as three months after its beta released, so it seems Mickey ended up getting the last laugh.
• Nausea Fuel: The absolute culinary abortion that Mario comes out with in "Mario Bakes a """Cake"""". Ignoring his questionable substitutions of ingredients, he not only makes cake frosting by stirring spaghetti pulled from where the sun don't shine with his nose – which the achievement screen declares "Meggy's Cooking" – but he ends up burning the whole thing. The result is impervious to being cut, forcing Mario to chew it and spit chunks of it out, breaking his teeth in the process. Given that the mere smell of it was enough to reduce poor Tari's face to a skull, she ought to have run for the hills, to say nothing of the wretched concoction straight up killing her.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • In a shockingly-ominous scene that comes completely out of nowhere for this Denser and Wackier Spin-Off, "Mario Delves Into Nintendo Anti-Piracy Screens" has been full of Mario completely no-selling all the supposedly scary anti-piracy screens. But right at the end, SMG4, still in the grip of his obsessive mania from "SMG4 - SMG4... Are You Ok?", bursts in and bashes Mario aside, babbling about the internet being down and needing to work on his video. He then terminates Mario's recording and the video along with it. The end screen promptly fades in, but instead of the normal upbeat music, there are the echoing sounds of typing...
  • "Mario Reacts to Bootleg Mario Toys ft. Luigi" ends in a very morbid (if flat-out absurd) way: The last image that Mario and Luigi look at unleashes an invasion of striped shirt-clad bootleg Mario and Luigi plush toys upon the world, with everyone being converted into more of the plush toys while a narration reassuring the viewer (who also gets assimilated) that they are their new leaders plays. Despite how obviously ridiculous the situation is, the sequence is otherwise played very straight, with everyone screaming in terror and completely helpless against the horde of toys as they conquer the world.
• Special Effect Failure: "Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes 11" gives us Meggy's Sunset Paradise outfit in GMod... but instead of removing the long sleeves on her shirt, their colors are replaced with that of human skin, resulting in some weird-looking sleeves.
• Spiritual Successor: Mario Bakes a """Cake""" can be seen as one to Heavy Makes French Toast from Moments with Heavy.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The name change has garnered some controversy, with some fans wondering what the point of retitling "Mario Does Things" "SMG4 Crew" was when the primary focus is still Mario doing things. Some even refused to call it "SMG4 Crew" for this reason.
