  • Blooper:
    • During his introductory scene, Imai's tail changes color from black to white at one point.
    • Dobu is missing his tail in a few scenes.
  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: This CBR article (as well as the original Wikipedia page for Odd Taxi) make it sound like the anime is about Odokawa talking to various taxi passengers so that he can piece together where a missing girl went. If anything, it's closer to the other way around, with the passengers trying to piece together what Odokawa knows. And that only applies to a few characters involved; most of his passengers don't care or talk about the missing girl one way or the other.
  • Crossdressing Voices: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Odokawa is voiced by transgender voice actress Luba Flores, through she still use a male voice for him.note
  • Cross-Regional Voice Acting: In the Latin American Spanish dub, while most of the voice cast is done in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Shirakawa is voiced by Guatemalan voice actress Carmen Mazariegos.
  • The Danza: Kuroda shares his family name with his Japanese voice actor, Takaya Kuroda.
  • Playing Against Type:
    • Natsuki Hanae plays the 41-year old Odokawa, one of the few times he voices a character that is older than him. Odokawa also speaks with a deeper, more lethargic voice than the roles Hanae usually plays.
    • Kayli Mills typically voices heroine characters such as Emilia, Alice Zuberg, and Keqing. Sakura Wadagaki, whom Mills voices in the English dub, by contrast is a sociopath willing to commit murder in order to attain fame and fortune and is arguably the show’s main villain next to Dobu.
  • Schedule Slip: Crunchyroll was supposed to stream the English Dub on January 16, 2022 but it was delayed to February 15, 2022, nearly a month later.
  • Sleeper Hit: Originally there were no plans to make any Blurays at all due to low projected sales. As the series slowly grew in popularity, they eventually promised to make a Bluray box set as long as they got at least 300 preorders. In the end, they ended up gathering over 6000 preorders, surpassing all the goals they listed on their website, and eventually greenlit the series for a movie.
  • What Could Have Been: There were plans for a Latin American Spanish dub, which was in the works, but Crunchyroll canceled the dub, very likely due to the lack of interest from local audiences. Curiously enough, this was later subverted, as a Spanish-dubbed version came out at November 2023.
