• Content Leak:
  • Several WIP animations from the special "Embrace Your Destiny" that were featured on an animator's Season 3 reel were accidentally released a few weeks before the special was even revealed to the public and a month before the special would actually premiere in the United Kingdom.
  • There have been several accounts of future seasons being brought up unofficially to fans by voice actors of the show in conventions, such as them getting ready for voice recordings. This includes the fifth season, which Jack De Sena and Sean Schemmel brought up to fans.
• Creator-Driven Successor: To Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, another cartoon series with 15 minute episodes with a heavy emphasis on over-the-top action and characterization-driven comedy, and is produced by Flying Bark Productions, who also worked on that show.
• Creator's Favorite:
  • Co-Creator Simon Lucas has said that Tang is one of his favorite characters.
  • Jeremy Adams said how he likes writing for Mei, thinking she's one of his favorites.
• Crossdressing Voices:
  • Stephanie Sheh, the voice of Mei, also voices Sandy's cat Mo, who's male.
  • In the Japanese dub, the male MK is voiced by female seiyu Emiri Katou.
  • Red Son, a boy, is voiced by female Megumi Han in Japanese.
• Died During Production: Billy Kametz, Macaque's voice actor, passed away in June 2022, having recorded all of his dialogue for Season 3 and a few Season 4 episodes prior to his death. He was later succeeded by Alejandro Saab.
• Executive Meddling: According to supplement materials, the crew had to fight for Mei to be a girl, as the higher-ups wanted to change her to be male.
• In Memoriam: The end of the Season 4 episode "New Adventures" ends with the text "Dedicated to Billy Kametz", who tragically passed away in June 2022.
• Invisible Advertising: The entire series has had a habit of episodes releasing without proper announcements or trailers. The series' premiere in the United States was announced a day before it would actually premiere. To add insult to injury, the fourth season and special were also shadow dropped in China, with the trailer for the season being released after it's premiere.
• Late Export for You:
  • The pilot movie, "A Hero is Born", was released in Malyasia in June 13, 2020... Meanwhile, the first season would finally make its appearance in the United States on Amazon Kids... On September 9, 2021, more than a year after the original release. The second season was released on Prime Video in Fall 2022, while the third season finale special aired earlier in the summer of that same year. And later on, Season 3 would become available on Kabillion in February 2023, while the fourth season had already aired in January 20, 2023 in China. Though the gap does appear to be closing, as the fourth season would officially release in the United States on March 3, 2023 on the LEGO Channel and HappyKids apps on Roku and Fire TV.
  • The show wasn't released anywhere in European territory^note Besides the Amazon Kids release in Germany on October 2021, until it started airing on November 2022 on Cartoon Network feeds and was made available for streaming on HBO Max across Europe.
  • The show has also made it's debut in Spain on HBO Max on April 2023 and Boing on July 2023.
• No Dub for You:
  • Despite releasing in Indonesia in 2022 on Cartoon Network, the series was not dubbed in Indonesian and only aired in English.
• The Other Darrin: After Billy Kametz' passing, from "The Court of the Yellow Robed Demon" onward, Alejandro Saab would voice Macaque.
• Role Reprise: Dicky Cheung, who played Sun Wukong in Journey to the West (1996), plays the Monkey King in both the Cantonese and Taiwanese Mandarin dubs of this series.
• Word of Saint Paul: According to trainer cards created by storyboard director Ashe Jacobson, MK uses he/they pronouns and Red Son uses any pronouns.
