• Adored by the Network:
  • The TV series initially was this for Cartoon Network, to a level rivaling Teen Titans Go! and The Amazing World of Gumball. However, poor critical reception and low ratings led to the opposite happening within several months.
  • YTV has adored this show for years, and it's one of the channel's three flagship shows (the others being SpongeBob SquarePants and The Loud House).
• Channel Hop: In the United States, the show aired its' first season on Cartoon Network. Further seasons of the show premiered on Paramount+.
• Franchise Killer: The series is what killed any future for the Cloudy franchise. What didn't help was lack of merchandise and proper marketing. However, the show did maintain a small cult following years later.
• International Coproduction: Between Sony Pictures Animation from the States and DHX Media from Canada.
• The Other Darrin: None of the movie actors returned for the animated series, due to the production moving to Toronto, Canada.
• Screwed by the Network: Explained from Adored by the Network example above, the series had constant reruns along with Teen Titans Go and Gumball; however, poor ratings led to the series being pulled sometime in April, where Ben 10 (2016) had took its place. The show eventually returned to their schedule in September, only to be removed a mere week later. The series wasn't aired on the network for the rest of the year, barring a half-hour Christmas special that was shoved into a Sunday afternoon slot with no advertising. What makes matters worse that, in December 2017, most of the first season's recently released episodes were withdrawn from the Cartoon Network app and on-demand. By January 2018, the show was banished to the Boomerang app. The second season renewal from DHX Media might have been due to YTV giving the show far better treatment domestically, considering the show was also co-produced by the channel's parent company.
• What Could Have Been:
  • All of the actors for the characters in the original films were considered to reprise their roles for the series.
  • The TV series was originally commissioned to air on Teletoon, but instead, it aired on YTV.
• Written by Cast Member: Mark Edwards, the voice of Flint for this series, wrote a significant number of episodes. Additionally, Seán Cullen (the voice of Mayor Shelbourne and Tim in the show) wrote the episodes "Coat of Harms" and "Timmy Rockgood", while David Berni (who voices Brent here) wrote the episode "Tim and Jim".
