• The Cast Show Off: Megumi Mori gets to show off her singing and musical talents in episodes 22 and 44.
• The Danza: Megumi Mori as Megumi Misaki.
• Executive Meddling: Liveman was originally supposed to be a three-member team through to the end, until the producers realized it was the tenth Super Sentai show since the franchise's revival with Battle Fever J and they wanted to do something special. Thus, Black Bison and Green Sai were added to the team mid-series. This caused some plot aberrations with previous episodes (Yusuke was unaware of Tetsuya's existence, despite becoming acquainted with Takuji's other brother Takeshi in an earlier episode). But it also led directly to the introduction of the Live Boxer and Super Live Robo, the first Super Sentai Humongous Mecha to be formed from two smaller Humongous Mecha. A net positive, all in all.
• Milestone Celebration: Liveman's run saw the first official commemoration of a Super Sentai anniversary. As the franchise was still regarded as having started with Battle Fever J at the time^note Goranger and JAKQ would not be incorporated until Ohranger., Liveman was recognised as the 10th series with a commemorative logo featuring the Liveman Power Trio with the previous 9 Red Rangers.
• Stunt Double: A notable exception in Yutaka Hirose, who played Dr. Kemp. Hirose is a trained stunt actor and did all of his own stunts, including those as Beauty Beast Kemp and Fear Beast Kemp.
• Those Two Actors: Before playing teacher and student, Joji Nakata and Yutaka Hirose played rivals in Choushinsei Flashman.
• What Could Have Been
  • As Liveman was the 10th Super Sentai starting from Battle Fever J, a special episode featuring all 10 Sentai was scheduled to be aired in the final week of February. However, due to bad weather, the shooting schedule for Maskman was delayed, so there was no room to shoot the special program, and the schedule was moved up to start "Liveman" from the last week of February. The special program of the 10 Sentai, which was ultimately a glorified Clip Show, was carried over to the first episode of Turboranger the following year.
  • It was originally planned for the Power Trio to stand alone, much like Sun Vulcan, before it was decide to make Three Plus Two.
  • The suit for Monster Obular was originally intended to be worn by Yoshinori Okamoto, only for him to end up being cast as Doctor Ashura instead.
  • Guildos was originally designed with the idea that he actually was an alien. It wasn't until after his design was finished that the twist of him being a robot was decided upon.
