There are a few nods to many world mythologies as well as pop culture.
- For the "Viewers" there's many Shoutouts:
- The person known as the "Prisoner of the Golden Headband" is the Monkey King Sun Wu Kong.
- The "Queen of Darkest Spring" and "Father of the Rich Night" are Persephone and Hades.
- The "God Who Likes to Change Genders" is Loki.
- "Thursday's Thunder" Thor .
- The "One Eyed Sage" Odin.
- Eden as a whole has a slew of shoutouts to various figures in Christian Mythology:
- "Commander of the Red Cosmos" is the Archangel Jophiel.
- "Demon-Like Judge of Fire" is the Archangel Uriel.
- "Lily Blooming in Aquarius" is Archangel Gabriel.
- "Guardian of Youths and Travel" is the Archangel Raphael.
- "Scribe of Heaven" is the Archangel Metatron
- "Savior of Corruption" AND "King of Corrupted Angels" is the Archangel Michael and Archangel Lucifer, AKA Satan respectively.
- In the same manner, the Demon Kings are this to the Ars Goetia and the Lesser Key of Solomon as a whole:
- "Devil of Lust and Wrath" is Asmodeus.
- "Ruler of East Hell" is Agares.
- The original "Master of Steel" is the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz.
- When seeing Yoo Sangah wrapping up their enemies in a web of her golden wire, Dokja likens her to Spiderman.
- The Cinema Master's first area with the prehistoric dinosaurs near a lab seems to be a reference to Jurassic Park. At the end of the "film" Dojka and the others even take a helicopter off the island and once they leave the "film". The movie poster outside confirms it.
- In the webtoons, one of the movie posters appears to be John Wick, which Jihye Lee makes note of saying she had wanted to see. Among the other posters are "Inception", "The Losers of the Caribbean" and "Fighting Destination". More movies are mentioned in the Web Novel, ranging from "Pacific Rim", to some others as well.
- The second movie the group enters is Titanic (1997).
- When exploring the underworld, the robot Hades is forcing the inhabitants to build is noted to look similar to a gundam.
- During the miniature scenario, Dojka allows one of the enemies who's wearing a scanner over his eyes to read Dojka's profile and skills. The scanner explodes as it's overloaded with information, and it's immediately noted that this was a scene right out of a manga.
- The siege of the Vironical castle plays out similarly to the beginning of Attack on Titan.
- In the webtoon as Han Sooyung and Kim Dokja discuss his prophecy that he'll be killed by "the person he loves most", an image of Director Han appears. He's sitting in a similar pose to Doctor Hiriluk with his famous last speech, "When does a man truly die? When he is forgotten". All of this is apparently quoted by Han Sooyung.
