Fish Eye takes an interest in Mamoru and declares himself as Usagi's romantic rival. And later, he and his cohorts get a visit from the true ringleader of the Dead Moon Circus who unveils some new and dire information that can place their livelihoods in jeopardy.
Tropes in this episode include:
- All-Loving Hero: Despite Fish Eye being nothing but a nuisance who vowed to steal Mamoru from her, Usagi shows kindness to her rival when she catches him in the rain.
- Ambiguous Situation: There's a shot of a bound Mamoru being forcefully kissed by Fish Eye in his civilian disguise. Did Fish Eye really kiss him before leaving for the day? Or was it just his imagination?
- And Then What?: In the beginning, Fish Eye openly questions what will happen to him and his friends if they don't find Pegasus soon.
