Usagi: The Amazon Trio found out they're not really human and without Pegasus' horn, the magic spell that makes them appear human will wear off. Also, Fish Eye fell in love with Mamo-chan. But you can't have him! Mamo-chan is the most handsomest man in the whole world!
Both: So hands off!

(CWi Episode: "Eternal Dreams")

Fish Eye finds a sliver of hope after learning not only Sailor Moon's identity but also the true holder of Pegasus. But it may be too late as his upcoming predecessors decide to do everyone a favor and put an end to the Amazon Trio with a powerful Lemure assassin.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Bad Boss: Rather then answer Fish Eye's question about being true humans, Zirconia gives him a heart attack for his insolence. And then she allows the Amazoness Quartet to send Mr. Magic Pierrot to finish the job.
  • Badass in Distress: Usagi ends up targeted for her Dream Mirror. But what's worse is that she has her mirror shattered by Mr. Magic Pierrot.
  • Become a Real Boy: Fish Eye openly questions to Zirconia if they'll still count as real humans even if they don't have beautiful dreams. In the end, Pegasus uses his magic to turn him and his friends into real humans.
  • Big Brother Is Watching: Commander Zircon has been spying on Fish Eye and how he made Usagi's acquaintance.
  • Death by Secret Identity: Fish Eye, and by extension Hawk's Eye and Tiger's Eye, discover that Sailor Moon is Usagi Tsukino. And although they're killed by the Murder Clown and their magical orb being shattered, Pegasus allows them to live and takes them to live in his dark and dangerous forest (not to mention that this is the last time we actually see the Amazon Trio).
  • Disney Death:
    • Usagi ends up in a comatose state after her Dream Mirror is destroyed. But she gets better after Tiger's Eye uses the sacred orb to wish for it's restoration.
    • The Amazon Trio are killed by Mr. Magic Pierrot along with using the remaining magic of the orb to bring back Usagi. Though Pegasus comes in and grants them a second chance at life.
  • Friendly Rival: While Usagi intends to settle things about keeping Fish Eye away from her Mamo-chan, she still has the decency to treat him with warm friendliness.
  • Heartbeat Soundtrack: A grim heartbeat plays as Fish Eye remembers Zirconia's words of capturing Pegasus while preparing himself to kidnap Chibi-usa.
  • In Medias Res: The episode continues with Usagi showing kindness to her love rival and helping them out of the rain.
  • Internal Reveal: Fish Eye discovers Usagi's Sailor Moon after hearing her describe Mamoru exactly as his enemy did during their previous battle.
  • Ironic Echo:
    • Fish Eye immediately discovers Usagi's identity as the Pretty Guardian Hero after hearing her describe Mamoru the exact same way several hours ago.
Usagi: Of course he is the best looking man in the world. So I give you points for good taste.
Sailor Moon: But you've attacked the best looking of them all which means you've got good taste! Way too good for your own good!
    • Sailor Moon learns that Fish Eye was her love rival after hearing him say that he envied her for being full of beautiful dreams.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Being targeted by Mr. Magic Pierrot inspires Fisheye and Tiger's Eye to use their sacred orb to restore Sailor Moon's dream along with freeing Chibi-usa.
  • Monster Clown: PallaPalla summons Mr. Magic Pierrot, a happy-go-lucky clown with a sadistic streak and with incredibly strong magic to terminate the Amazon Trio.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Fish Eye discovers Sailor Moon's Secret Identity and captures Pegasus' holder. Had Zirconia actually answered Fish Eye's question about being human (or at least lied about it) and not given him a heart attack, then it would have been GAME OVER for everyone on Earth.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Usagi offering a helping hand to her love rival allows Fish Eye to discover her Secret Identity while also abducting the true holder of Pegasus all in one go.
  • Oh, Crap!: Fish Eye has three in this episode.
    • First is when he hears Usagi describe Mamoru in the exact same way he heard Sailor Moon say it in the previous episode, making him realize they're the same person.
    • The second is when he sees the flying horse appear in Chibi-usa's room.
    • He gets it again when Mister Magic Pierrot destroys Usagi's Dream Mirror.
  • Previously on…: Usagi's narration gives a recap on Fish Eye falling for Mamoru along with the dark secret he and his Amazon Predators learned about.
  • Redemption Earns Life: The final actions of the Amazon Trio in restoring Sailor Moon's dreams gives Pegasus enough reason to restore their lives and allows them to live in his dark, dangerous forest.
  • The Reveal: The Dead Moon are led by a woman known as Queen Nehelenia, who seeks Pegasus for the golden crystal hidden in his horn.
  • Say My Name: Fish Eye calls out Hawk's Eye's name after he dies.
  • Taking the Bullet: Hawk's Eye takes a devastating attack from Mr. Magic Pierrot in order to protect Fish Eye.
  • Villainous Friendship: Tiger's Eye shows genuine concern for Fish Eye as he's given a voodoo heart attack and begs Madame Zirconia to show mercy.
  • We Have Reserves: After using her powers to crush Fisheye's heart, the Madame reminds the Trio that they're nothing more but expendable animals.
  • Wham Shot: Usagi's Dream Mirror being destroyed, which was the first time in the season we actually see a Dream Mirror getting shattered and what happens afterwards.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Downplayed. The Inner Girls are annoyed that Usagi was distracted in looking for someone else (her blue haired rival) instead of Chibi-usa.
  • Wrong Assumption: Going by Zircon's video recording, Zirconia assumes that Usagi was the holder of Pegasus that Fish Eye talked about.
