Ash vs. Evil Dead is an American horror comedy series, set in the Evil Dead franchise and serves as a sequel to The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead 2 and (starting with Season 2) Army of Darkness. The show ran on the Starz network from October 30, 2015 for three seasons, ending on April 28, 2018.

It's been over 30 years after the infamous events at the Knowby cabin, and Ash Williams is leading a thankless existence of living in a trailer park somewhere in Michigan, working an ungrateful job and picking up women to fill the void in his soul. However, he's pulled out of his rut by his own mistake of reading Necronomicon Ex-Mortis in a marijuana-fueled haze and summoning the Evil Dead back into the world. Now, accompanied by his co-worker Pablo and a young woman named Kelly, Ash is going to fix his own mess and send the Deadites a clear message: don't mess with the Ash!
Several months after making a deal with the Dark One named Ruby, Ash, Kelly and Pablo are enjoying a pleasant life in Jacksonville, Florida, while suddenly a huge wrench thrown into their happiness as Deadites emerge once more. This time, Ash is forced to go back to his hometown of Elk Grove, the place where he has a reputation of a psychopath and a murderer. Dealing with the troubled time at home, he has to bury the hatchet with Ruby in order to stop a new threat looming over them.

Ash Williams is now a local hero, having settled back in Elk Grove and taken over his father's hardware store. Things seems as normal as they can be, but a familiar threat shows up on the horizon to ruin this peaceful existence, along with some unexpected allies, but in addition to that, Ash has to face the biggest challenge in his life: being a father to a teenage girl who barely knows him.
