"I'm sorry, Kelly. I was wrong to bring us here. I've failed you, I've failed Pablo... I've failed the world."

Ash: Evil. If you show your ugly mug in this town ever again... I will fuck you up, I will take you down and I will wipe! You! Out!

Professor Knowby runs away with the Necronomicon, leaving Ash and Tanya locked in the cellar with Henrietta. Ash shoots her, but she shrugs off the shots and injures Tanya. Raymond gets into his car, but he gets killed by something on the backseat that turns him into a bloody pulp. Ash manages to shoot the lock and get out of the cellar, but Tanya gets dragged away. A blonde-haired Ruby enters the cabin with the Necronomicon, and Henrietta drags Ash back into the cellar. The rose-haired Ruby and Kelly get into the cabin and see another Ruby. Kelly tries to help Ash, but blonde Ruby knocks her away and threatens the other one with the dagger.

In the cellar, the fight continues, and Henrietta elongates her neck to bite Ash's face off and then does a belly flop to squish him, but he rolls away to dodge it. He finally gets the chainsaw started and saws off her neck, finishing her off. The Rubies argue about the Necronomicon as Ash leaves the cellar. The present Ruby tries to convince her past self to stop working with Baal, but instead she gets stabbed with the dagger. The dying Ruby blasts her past self away and tells Ash and Kelly to leave, admitting she was wrong about Ash. The past Ruby gets up and kills the present one with the dagger.

As Ash and Kelly leave, Ash's hand grows back due to the fact he's never encountered the Necronomicon in 1982, and history has been changed. They open the Delta's trunk to see the revived Pablo. As they leave, Pablo gets brought up to speed, and the question of how to get back to the future still remains. Ash asks Pablo to read the time travel spell, but he refuses, revealing himself as Baal. He knocks Kelly out, while the past Ruby tosses her present self's head into the car and knocks Ash out.

Ash wakes up in the middle of the spawning ritual as Baal and Ruby use the Necronomicon to give birth to their children. Baal explains that he knows what happened in 2010's and that this Ruby hasn't betrayed him yet and Pablo is stuck in Hell, while he transferred himself into Pablo's body and gave Ash the idea to travel back in time. Ash challenges him to a fair fight without any supernatural powers, betting the world and Kelly against Baal and others getting back to Hell. The demon seemingly accepts the challenge, and they cut their hands over the book, dripping blood on it.

The duel begins, and it's a mixed success for both of them. Ruby tells Kelly that men are slaves to pride and she's altering the deal. She tries to convince Kelly to betray Ash, but she refuses and tries to get the dagger, only for one of the children to stop her. During the fight Baal takes Chet's form to stop Ash from hitting him and gets him stuck in a piano, cutting off his right hand with the chainsaw. He takes turns into Cheryl and Brock to toy with Ash. He seemingly drowns Brock in a bathtub, and Baal taunts Ash, saying he never intended to honor the deal. Ash sees his chainsaw in the bathtub and revs it up, and Baal takes another one as they start dueling. The demon takes the upper hand and knocks Ash back into the hall. Ash apologizes to Kelly and admits defeat, but before the demon can finish him off, he asks what Ruby is like in bed, making him scoff. Ash uses this second to gut Baal with his own talon and cleaves him in two. He realizes he's been betrayed by Ruby and falls into Hell. The cabin catches on fire, and Ash and Kelly escape just before it explodes.

Pablo emerges from the ashes, and the trio hug it own. Back in the present, Ash is celebrated as a hero in Elk Grove, and he sees spirits of Brock, Cheryl and Chet cheering him on from the afterlife. He gives a speech, calling out the townspeople for letting his friends and father die, but he's able to forgive them and claims he loves the town and he's moving back in for good. He gets cheered on, while Ruby from the 80's looks on with disgust.

Tropes:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Baal cuts off Ash's newly grown right hand, which quickly comes back to life.
  • Back from the Dead: As history has changed, Pablo's death at Baal's hand didn't happen, and so he comes back to life... only it's revealed that it's been Baal along. The real Pablo comes back to life after Baal has been sent back to Hell.
  • Bond One-Liner: Ash doesn't bother with pleasantries after killing Henrietta, instead settling for a Precision F-Strike:
    Ash: FUCK... you.
  • Danger Takes a Backseat: Ruby kills Knowby from his car's backseat.
  • Decapitation Presentation: Present day Ruby gets killed and decapitated by her past self, who later throws the head into Ash's Oldsmobile.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: After Ash defeats Baal, he gets taken back into Hell.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Ash gets hailed as a hero, brings Pablo back to life and gets Linda
  • Fan Disservice: Fat and disgusting Deadite Henrietta attempts to breastfeed Ash with her rotting milk, much to his disgust.
  • Flipping the Bird: Ash's freshly chopped off hand flips him off before running away.
  • Willfully Weak: Baal makes a deal to fight Ash without any powers
  • Eye Poke: Henrietta tries to poke Ash in the eyes to gouge them out, but he turns it on her.
  • Groin Attack: Ash tries to kick Henrietta below the belt, but his foot gets stuck in the fat.
  • Not Enough to Bury: Knowby and Tanya get turned into bloody chunks.
  • Never the Selves Shall Meet: Averted, as two Rubies are able to co-exist at the same time.
  • Sequel Hook: Past Ruby shows up in the crowd to set up the events of the next season.
  • Shapeshifter Guilt Trip: Baal turns into Chet, Brock and Cheryl during his fight with Ash to mentally break him.
