  • SCP-6005 "Cascadia" is another SCP where Foundation's "end justifies the means" policy and their pursuit of normalcy lead to them committing atrocities. SCP-6005 was a psychic field that made certain people dream of building a beautiful garden together and these dreams would influence them to be more cooperative and try to create friendly communities and gardens in real life. It was entirely harmless or even beneficial but the Foundation was, without any good evidence really, afraid it may either result in a broken masquerade scenario, have some sinister results down the line, or both. So they had started a procedure that was supposed to make the dreamers think the garden is something unnatural and instead dream of a forest and associate happiness with isolation from others. This procedure apparently involved forcing the patients to listen to screams the trees make when you tell them where to grow. It caused severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD among the patients and eventually corrupted the psychic field so that now it makes people dream of a forest and eventually go disappear into it. Nearly two thousand people are considered missing due to the phenomenon and the Foundation has buried the case so that not even the majority of their personnel knows what is happening and monitoring the disappearances has become a dead-end duty nobody cares for. An agent who discovers the truth is so disgusted that he drugs and kidnaps the doctor in charge of the project and lets the forest, or rather his victims, have its way with him. The doctor is dragged into a tree by hundreds of hands.
  • SCP-6061 "GUILTY. GUILTY. GUILTY." is part of the site's yearly Halloween contest, so no surprise that it fuels your nightmares. 6061 is a random event where someone will be executed via gunshot by invisible and incorporeal entities who leave behind a note declaring them "Guilty." Some victims have minor spots on their records, but others are completely innocent. Sometimes people are even declared "Not guilty" and still executed. It's implied that the crime they're accused of is...creating art. It sounds relatively silly at first until you realize humanity heavily utilizes art, so anyone you know could be next.
  • SCP-6096 "The Guest", despite its look and relatively low disruption and risk class, has probably one of the strongest mind control abilities. This is prefaced by an early sentence "SCP-6096 is to be released from containment whenever it desires." This is because, in its active phase, all those around it not only can't harm the anomaly directly nor indirectly but are forced to actively help it get to its seemingly random target, so it can subsume them. While the victim's fate is not for certain, it takes 20-40 minutes for them to disappear, and seems to be very painful. Worse yet, the victim isn't affected by 6096, so to them, it will seem like everyone around them, including their own family, is putting them at the mercy of SCP-6096. And if that wasn't enough, those that are affected by its primary ability are perfectly aware of their actions, such as in the Initial Containment log, where after SCP-6096 goes back into a dormant state, the victim's parents are left in shock, seemingly aware they just helped this anomaly kill their son.
  • SCP-6287 "Small Town Living" describes a situation when an entire town seemed to vanish. Nothing too bad so far, except when a field agent went to look for it, it turned out the town had actually shrunk down so small it could hardly be seen. How did the agent discover this? The moment he heard a loud crunch and realised he'd stepped on the whole town by accident, crushing it and killing all the inhabitants. The agent was referred for counselling after this.
  • SCP-6362, "Home Invasion" is basically Paranoia Fuel in SCP form: it's a phenomenon where a random person somewhere in the world will be targeted by a group of home invaders (designated SCP-6362 A) for seemingly no reason, who brutally beat the victim, before leaving again. The victims sometimes die during the assault, but not always, and if they don't, the attacks will keep coming, again and again, as long as the victim is still alive, and always whenever they're completely alone. And that's it - that's all the Foundation knows about SCP-6362, and even that comes from blog posts, letters and journal entries by it's victims. There's no pattern or reason for why the victims are chosen, none that the Foundation can discern at least, and the home invaders are always different people (or at least always take different shapes). They can even be killed, but their bodies always disappear, as do any evidence of other people even being in the same room as the victims, which also means no one (except the Foundation) believe them. And the invaders can get you anywhere, no matter how you run or hide. One victim was beaten to death in a locked bathroom, and another is implied to have been attacked in his car while it was moving. As a result, the survivors spiral into paranoia, since no one believes them, and they can't let their guard down for a second. One man even murdered his neighbor because he thought the other man was behind the attacks when the invaders disappeared when the neighbor stopped by his house (as the invaders will only manifest if there's no other people around).
  • SCP-6373, "Stage Blight." A group of extremely creepy-looking puppets who put on a deranged performance every day at 6 PM sharp. It's heavily implied that they are possessed by the man who created them, a French theater owner named Goffard, who lost everything in a divorce when his wife embezzled money from his theater. The four puppets include Pierre, the leader; Glouton, a huge disembodied head who only speaks in grunts; Jacque, the comedic relief; and Ame, the silent Butt-Monkey of the group. Although they seem to be made of papier-mache, they emit a strong non-anomalous rotting odor that gets worse if they're unable to perform their show. Their performances start out with actual stories, such as rescuing a princess from a dragon, but start getting worse and worse as the years go by. More and more, they begin to revolve around torturing and abusing Ame, whether it's using her as a soccer ball, or forcing Glouton to swallow her and vomit her back up. Ame isn't alone in the abuse though. Pierre often attacks Glouton and Jacque as well, breaking the latter's jaw open permanently. Not even the audience is safe - in one performance, they refuse to continue until one of the researchers volunteers to have her arm broken. They do this with surprising ease. Their performances can last anywhere from two minutes to three weeks, and eventually devolve into gibberish with one performance described as "completely indecipherable." When they finally take their final bow, it's revealed Pierre contained a brain, Jacque contained a heart, Glouton contained a bunch of other organs and an empty piece of human skin, and Ame was completely empty (though, it should be noted that "âme" is the french word for "soul"...). The article concludes by noting that the skin, and possibly the other organs, were sourced from Goffard's wife.
  • SCP-6502 "Harwick Cemetery" is a graveyard where the buried bodies retain their consciousness even as the bodies decompose into nothing. You'd expect the Foundation to shut it down, right? Nope, they use it to keep important employees available for consultation forever. Which is lovingly detailed from the perspective of one such employee as her body slowly falls apart and her coffin is invaded by bugs. She is either sobbing or screaming the whole time.
  • SCP-6618, "Papa!" is a CD titled Papa's Ways on How to Raise and Discipline Your Child, which going by the title, seems like a parenting guide in the form of a home video series. However, it's not that. When it's played, the footage shows a 20-year-old man named James Vane being subjected to extreme psychological torture by an unseen entity. The video changes with each playback, and it also showcases the mental and physical degradation of James as "Papa" continues to torment him, and the guy slowly mentally regresses to an infant - even crying exactly like one - when all is said and done. That's horrific enough, but the operation log details what the Foundation found in the basement of the cabin where the CDs have been coming from, and it turns out that James wasn't the first person to be targeted by Papa. Inside the basement was a well-like structure, and when one of the MTF operatives lifted the wooden lid covering this structure, they found hundreds of human corpses in varying states of decay melted together, which upon further inspection, are also crying like babies. This heavily implies that all of Papa's victims, including James, are all still very much alive and conscious after all this time.
  • SCP-6666, "The Demon Hector and the Dread Titania":
    • It reveals that SCP-1000 (pictured) is not Bigfoot as we know it, nor blameless victims of a genocide by humanity, but shadowy, nightmarish abominations that take innocent, child-like joy in the gruesome torment they inflict on human beings. They (along with the Fae and the Profanities the Fae Princess summoned) are responsible for destroying the antediluvian human civilization seen in SCP-4840, and then used their prisoners of war to unleash nightmarish tortures upon them as part of their culture and means of communication, and they genuinely believe that what they're doing is just a harmless game. Their habit of singing and laughing while inflicting incomprehensible amounts of pain on their victims only makes them more unsettling.
    • Even while asleep, they are still capable of communicating through the nightmares of the Foundation researchers, who experience terrifying dreams about being tortured and mutilated. This also implies that if you experience nightmares about the Bigfoot, you may be making it easier for them to communicate and awaken. Sweet dreams.
    • The article also showcases a good dose of Realism-Induced Horror, as this brutal and futile war was only caused by Adam El Asem and the Sky Kings' greed for conquest...which ultimately failed and led to the collapse of their empire and untold numbers of deaths. The Fae are also none too pleasant for their part: they created the Bigfoot as weapons against humanity, and then abandoned them, a brutal Cycle of Revenge that wouldn't be out of place in a real-world history of colonialism and its after-effects.
    • The behaviour of SCP-1000 is also deeply unsettling, as they seemingly exist solely to cause suffering, and cannot even communicate except through the nightmares of others. They become almost comparable to SCP-2419 in how they seem unable to even comprehend not laughing maniacally as they tear people apart — even though the Bigfoot are monstrous, they're also the victims of torment and isolation, and were created to be weapons in the war against humans (raising the question of whether they chose to be Always Chaotic Evil, or were simply programmed to behave in this manner).
    • The contradictions with the SCP-1000 article are explained in a disturbing way as well. The article was apparently submitted by Tilda Moose, a former member of the Serpent's Hand, but long before she even joined the Foundation or any reported sightings of the Bigfoot. It implies that the Serpent's Hand (or possibly some other group) foresaw her defection and the Foundation discovering SCP-1000, and tried to trick the Foundation into releasing these murderous monsters (who may not even be SCP-1000, just whoever made that article deliberately trying to get the Foundation to confuse the two) just for the sake of freeing anomalies, regardless of the consequences it would have for the world.
  • SCP-6670 "Mama?" is both nightmarish and a massive Tear Jerker. Imagine what life must be like for Jemma Parker. She's stuck forever growing into the walls of a run-down house, in constant physical pain, and the Foundation has no plans to free her. She's also implied to have had to eat her own mother to survive, after falling through the ceiling and accidentally crushing her. The initial description describes her as "hibernating," but the incident log implies that she is still conscious and suffering terribly.
  • SCP-6697, "SHO MUST GOWON" is a series of VHS tapes with almost unreadably badly translated covers produced by a mysterious company called Totleighsoft Corporation.
    • Only one of these tapes has been deciphered and studied, and aside from one minute being a title card and promotional segment for Totleighsoft itself, the rest of the tape only contains a seemingly normal episode of Seinfeld - except every time the tape is played, it contains a new episode, following the show's original chronology. And this is where things go from "slightly odd" to "horrifying" - the tape keeps going after the original Series Finale, showing episodes from a non-existent Season 10!
    • But the horror part doesn't happen until Episode 7, when George suddenly walks off screen, with Jerry looking confused briefly, only to keep talking like George is still there. In the following episodes, George begins showing more and more erratic behavior, which only Jerry ever seems to notice, until we get this one line: "The fuck?! I just want to LEAVE!!" That's right, George Costanza, Butt-Monkey and comic relief of Seinfeld has somehow achieved self-awareness, and is now trying to escape his own fictional life. As the following episodes reveal, this is impossible, as he is always teleported right back to Jerry and the group whenever the plot requires it, no matter how far he has to run. It's implied that this was somehow caused by the technology the tape uses to generate new episodes, as only Jerry is "supposed" to be real (he's not really Jerry's character, and appears to be part of the tapes functions), and George gaining sentience was a fluke.
    • George goes to increasing extremes to break the script and free himself, including shooting the Soup Nazi and burning Newman alive, but nothing works, as the characters just come back to life. That is, until he finally ends up killing Jerry himself, at which point every single living thing on the show melts into puddle and vanishes, leaving George alone in a deserted New York.
    • At this point, the show title changes to "COZTANSER" as George fails to find any humans across America, and all his suicide attempts bring him back to life. Thinking that the whole ordeal is his personal purgatory, he goes to an abandoned church in Chicago to pray for a sign, and he does get one... in the form of a laugh track. Poor George completely loses it as he starts ranting against the fourth wall and even torturing and mutilating opossums, all while screaming "Censor me!", "Stop watching this!" and "LET ME DIE!" Before the testing moratorium was put in place, this had been going for 126 episodes.
  • SCP-6820 "TERMINATION ATTEMPT" is a worst-case scenario of what happens when an anomaly's termination attempt goes very, very, very wrong.
  • SCP-6872 "A Way Out" describes a situation in an End of Death timeline which can be described as The Matrix Gone Horribly Wrong to the absolute extreme. The SCP itself describes a memetic trigger imbedded in every human being that the Foundation can activate following a number of End of the World scenarios. One such is transferring everyone's consciousness into a Cyberspace simulacrum, which they have to use following an End of Death scenario. All of humanity but a single O5 member, despite their pleading to, gets their consciousness transferred into the simulacrum but quickly problems start to emerge as the virtual world simply cannot count for the number of human deaths in it, which causes the simulacrum to nearly shut down and glitches to occur. The Foundation tries to counteract this by continuing to build the site where the simulacrum is located, with drones. Said construction continues to encompasses more and more of the globe until practically the entire surface is encompassed by the site. Despite this the simulation still runs into problems that start affecting the simulacrum itself, which forces the 05 members inside it to enforce an amnestic program to keep the populace at bay. Things go From Bad to Worse when a sudden explosion of living carcasses due to locusts, starts to overwhelm the site, which keep in mind because this takes place in the End of Death canon there is no way to permanently kill anything, which causes mass shutdowns of much of the site. This has the effect of having humanity in the simulacrum have the constant feeling of being chewed on by insects and plants growing under their skin, which the Foundation, because they are all stuck in the simulacrum now with no way to fix it, have to amnesticize humanity to convince them that is baseline reality. The article ends with 05-4 being forced to become the pilot of the simulacrum, with the last shot before he turns off the automatic monitoring system of him sobbing, unable to do anything to fix the simulacrum.
