Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included (One Room, Hi Atari Futsuu, Tenshi Tsuki) is a Romantic Comedy manga created by matoba (As Miss Beelzebub Likes). It has been serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shounen Gangan since September 12, 2020 with 6 volumes published as of October 12, 2023. This manga was licensed by Yen Press in English and began publishing in July 5, 2022 with 4 volumes as of December 12, 2023. An anime adaptation by Okuruto Noboru began airing in March 30, 2024. Crunchyroll has licensed the anime in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the CIS, and the Indian subcontinent.
Meet Shintaro Tokumitsu, a student who is living alone in his One Room apartment. Between going to school and his part-time job, his life as simple and mundane as it could be, until he finds a girl lying in his Good Lighting balcony the next day! Freaked out at first, the girl awakens and introduces herself as Towa, who turns out to be an angel, and not only because of her looks and personality, a true angel complete with wings (but not a halo). After convincing Tokumitsu, Towa says that she is in a mission from God to bring happiness and learn from the humans. After some troubles, Tokumitsu reluctantly allows Towa to stay in his apartment for now. But this is just the beginning of the unnatural occurences for Tokumitsu, specially when beings such as Yuki-onna exist, and they are closer than one imagines!
This manga provides examples of:
- All Myths Are True: Shintaro seems to be coming to believe this, since he’s countered an angel, a Yuki Onna, a vampire, and a kappa all living as humans.
- Catapult Nightmare: Tokumitsu awakens this way when he thought that some government agents were going to capture Towa, specially because he had that nightmare after telling Noel and Tsumugi about Towa last night. Fortunately, it was only a nightmare.
- Cliffhanger: Volume 1 of the Manga (and Episode 3 of the Anime) ends that way, with Tokumitsu talking with Noel about her secret and Towa meeting them by gliding from the sky, and Tsumugi, Tokumitsu's Childhood Friend about to meet them too.
- Our Angels Are Different: Towa has angelic wings, but not a halo. Although she can hide her wings pretty well, when she gets excited her wings pop up unwittingly.
- Secret-Keeper: After Shintaro and Towa meet with Noel and Tsumugi, they all agree to keep all of the supernatural things secret.
- Yuki Onna: Noel Izumi, Tokumitsu's coworker, hails from a long line of snow women, and when her emotions run wild, being sad, angry, or embarassed, she causes snowstorms. She took the part-time job to get used to people and to control her condition.
