His Let's Plays and other videos provide examples of:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: In Episode 4 of Hot Wheels Velocity X, he greatly enjoys the gag where Gearhead says, "I should've been a toaster" after Max tells him to do something.
  • Blessed with Suck: In Hot Wheels Velocity X, he describes the car Hyper Mite as having a grip stat that is so high, it's annoying.
  • Captain Obvious: In Episode 2 of Hot Wheels Velocity X, he advises you to use a fast car for races.
  • Cameo: An unintentional example. In Episode 2 of Hot Wheels Velocity X, his sister suddenly sticks a Shane Dawson video in front of the camera using her iPod Touch. She continues to play the video throughout the next minute, despite him yelling at her not to.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Can be this at times.
Espmaster: You need to watch Slowflake. You'd love him.
  • Die, Chair, Die!: In Episode 18 of Hot Wheels Velocity X, he's completing a challenge where he has to get from point A to point B without hitting any cones. The first time he attempts it, he accidentally hits a cone near the beginning, and, rather than just restarting, tries to run into every other cone he can before reaching the finish line just to vent his anger.

  • Fan Nickname: In-universe. In Hot Wheels Velocity X, he calls the clock items that add seconds to your in-game timer "time things."
  • Never Say "Die": Lampshaded in Episode 15 of Hot Wheels Velocity X. When the game tells you to "disable Rupert," Espmaster says "Kill him!" and starts firing his weapon.
  • Noodle Incident: He frequently refers to his previous playthroughs of a game when he's Let's Playing it.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: In Hot Wheels Velocity X, he clears every challenge in the game in between episodes 1 and 2. Later, he goes back and completes them on camera, but this allows him to have a few extra cars and all of the weapons throughout the game.
  • Running Gag: He almost always forgets to load his save file at the beginning of each Hot Wheels: Velocity X video.
  • That One Level: In-universe example. He considers Challenge 14 in Hot Wheels Velocity X to be this, due to the difficulty of trying to collect 60 gears in a short period of time. When he actually does the challenge, his pet cat Hunter comes up and bugs him while he's doing it, causing him to screw up, and he gets frustrated and quits after failing it.
