Funny / Brutal Doom

• Certain doors in Doom are opened by attacking them. The 'flip them off' function is treated as a low-damage attack in the code. That means you can swear at certain doors to open them.
  Doomguy: FUCK YOURSELF!
  Door: *whimper* [door opening sound]
  • Similarly, swearing at barrels enough times can cause them to blow up and damage you (or even worse, kill you).
  • If you flip off the Cyberdemon, he'll instantly explode in fury and starts attacking you with a higher rate of fire, but so worth it!
• The taunts are noticeably louder than everything else in the game. During the calm before/after a fight in multiplayer, someone will inevitably go "hrmrmrmh, HAHA!", and many can't help reciprocating with a chuckle.
• The look on a Lost Soul's "face" when you grab it to use as a missile. You wouldn't think a demonic skull with no lips or eyebrows could convey an "Oh, Crap!" reaction, and yet they do it perfectly.
• Ever wanted to kick a seven-foot tall demon in the crotch and watch it fall to its knees in pain? Sure you do.
• Want to see something hilarious? Add the mod onto Chex Quest, and watch as the Chex Warrior brings out a gun and shoots everything while slime splatters everywhere. Adding to the hilarity is that the mod natively supports Chex Quest, and not a case where it just works by chance. Its DECORATE script is even named "BrutalChexQuest.txt", further confirming that this is very much an intentional feature.
• Getting finished off by a Revenant? Not funny. But, watching him shrug is just priceless.
• The description of the ''Power Fantasy'' difficulty states that it was made for game journalists-undoubtedly a dig at Polygon's infamous Doom video.
• One of the Extermination Day levels greets you from the very beginning with a big ass Cyberdemon to play with. It is instantly taken out with an air strike.
• One of the fatalities for the Arachnotron has Doomguy ripping off one of its legs and driving it through the creature's face. The expression of absolute terror◊ it shows before getting smashed is the best part.
• The finale of Brutal Doom 64. Doomguy is standing over the corpse of the Mother Demon when a horde of monsters pours in. Doomguy simply pumps his shotgun, and the monsters immediately turn tail and run.
• Performing a fatality on the Cyberdemon will have the Doom Guy rip the poor sucker in half... while its legs proceed to wander around the map harmlessly.
