Go To

The Forever Trilogy: The Restored Files is a remake of The Forever Trilogy, a Next-Gen Fic about Pokémon Special. In the distant future, the regions Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova are joined together in a supercontinent, forming the Empire, ruled by a man called Obsidian Synis. Humans and Pokemon are separated, with the Government spreading propaganda about how Pokemon are violent creatures. However, there is a Resistance fighting the Government, working to defeat Synis and reunite Pokemon and humans as it once was, in the time of the Pokedex Holders.

The trilogy is broken into three parts: Nevermore, Furthermore, and Forevermore.

Nevermore: in a world where Pokemon and humans are separated, Topaz and her newly found friends decide to join the Resistance to fight against the anti-Pokemon government. Along the way, they soon discover that not all is what it seems, regarding their pasts...

Furthermore: After escaping from the clutches of Synis, Topaz and her friends find themselves in a different time: their true time. However, they have been followed, and it seems like the Government intends to change the past to affect the future.

Forevermore: Synis officially declares war on the Resistance and it seems hopeless for the Resistance. After the destruction of Mt. Silver, the Resistance heads to Unova, which happens to be free from the Empire's clutches. But will Topaz and her friends be able to defeat Synis?

The main characters consist of the Pokedex Holders' children. Topaz is the daughter of Red and Yellow. Jade is the daughter of Silver and Green. Plato is the son of Pearl and Platinum. Rubin and Sapphira are the twin children of Ruby and Sapphire. Grey, introduced as Chase Black, is the son of Black and White.

  • Aerith and Bob: The main characters, as the children of the Dex Holders, are named after colors, metals, and gems. Some of the names, such as Scarlet and Jade, are names used for girls.
  • Amicable Exes: Grey and Scarlet date for the most part during Nevermore, but after Grey breaks up with Scarlet, they still remain friends and partners (not they have much of a choice for the latter).
  • Babies Ever After: The Pokedex holders sure got busy.
  • Badass Adorable: Any of the Pokemon that are seen as "cute", such as Jade's jigglypuff Pinkie (who at her introduction was stronger than Raiden, Topaz's signature Pokemon), or Squirrel, Grey's Pachirisu.
  • Badass Bookworm: Plato, who's known as the resident genius among the crew.
    • Also Viola, who is somewhat a Science Hero.
  • Battle Couple: Rubin/Topaz and Plato/Jade are notable, for they were partnered together both in captivity and as cadets in the Resistance.
  • Childhood Friends: Grey and Topaz have this, as they grew up in Goldenrod together.
    • Rubin and Cerise are another example, having grown up together in Littleroot.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: GOLDY.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Grey has brown hair and eyes and Viola have purple hair and purple eyes.
    • Most of Synis's admins have this as well.
  • Dysfunctional Family: The Kimus. Don't even get me started.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Am is short for Amethyst, which is a pretty feminine name.
    • Nobody really notices, though.
  • Hair of Gold: Cerise.
  • Hereditary Hairstyle: The classic Kimu bangs.
  • Hotblooded: Oh, so many characters.
  • In-Series Nickname: Sapphira goes by Sapph.
    • And Goldy has plenty of nicknames for most of the main cast.
  • In the Blood: Self explanatory.
  • Kid Hero: In Nevermore, almost all of the main characters are fifteen years old.
  • Little Miss Badass: Topaz. The tallest she gets is 5'1".
  • Next-Gen Fic: The Forever Trilogy starts in the year 4998, but the Dex Holders' kids are there thanks to Time Travel.
  • Non-Action Guy: Rubin, though he is trying to change that.
  • Older Than They Look: Just don't mention this to Topaz.
    • Or Alizarin.
  • Pokémon Speak: Topaz can talk to Pokemon.
  • Romantic Two-Girl Friendship: Pink and Jade, whose friendship is rather questionable.
  • Tsundere: Topaz has some tsundere tendencies, especially towards Goldy in Nevermore.
    • SAPPH
  • You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Well, in Viola's case, it's purple hair.
