Nicktoons & Disney Heroes UNITE! is a crossover between Kingdom Hearts and Nicktoons Unite! by Dr-Dude.

It starts as a regular adaptation of Nicktoons Unite: SpongeBob SquarePants, Danny Phantom, Timmy Turner, and Jimmy Neutron have teamed up to take down the evil Syndicate. However, one miscalculation while traveling to their first world ends up with them in Traverse Town, where they meet a boy wielding a key named Sora. From there, they team up alongside Donald and Goofy to take down the Syndicate and their army and find King Mickey and Sora's best friends. Little do they realize, however, that they are in for a bigger adventure than they anticipated.

The story is currently in progress; it is also on Archive of Our Own.

Nicktoons & Disney Heroes UNITE! contains examples of:

  • Adaptation Expansion: This is an adaptation of Kingdom Hearts AND Nicktoons Unite, with Jimmy, Timmy, SpongeBob and Danny coming into Sora's adventures and helping them take down not just the Syndicate, but also the Disney villains and Heartless.
  • Alien Non-Interference Clause: The one for Kingdom Hearts (that Sora, Donald, and Goofy can't interfere with other worlds/can't tell the inhabitants of those worlds about the existence of other worlds) is discussed and ultimately defied. The Nicktoons being far more open about being from another world causes tension with Donald especially, and the group ends up having a big fight over it in Deep Jungle. Eventually everyone has a discussion about it, and Jimmy points out that the villains are already interfering with the worlds, and to not ask the inhabitants of these worlds for help would stop Donald and Goofy from actually accomplishing their mission. Donald ends up agreeing with Jimmy, and this leads to Tarzan joining the group.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Despite dealing with alternate worlds, ghosts, and talking sea sponges, Jimmy refuses to believe in magic.
  • Ascended Extra: Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka only appeared in Destiny Islands at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts in canon. In this story, all of them have their roles in the Nicktoons worlds, having been taken out of Destiny Islands after the world disappears and taken by Vlad Plasmius, Crocker, and Plankton, respectively.
    • Tarzan, who only appears in Deep Jungle, becomes part of the team to take down the Syndicate.
      • Selphie joins the Team after defeating Plasmius
  • Beware the Nice Ones: SpongeBob may be the nicest of the team, but he has his limits, as he reaches his Rage Breaking Point in the Deep Jungle and tears into Timmy, Jimmy, Sora, and Donald for their bickering despite the threat of the Heartless and Tarzan's family and friends being in danger.
  • Canon Foreigner: Chip and Dale aren't the ones in charge of the Gummi Ship, but rather their good friend, Gadget Hackwrench, who comes along with Sora and friends on their journey.
  • Chick Magnet: Sora has somehow become this, not by choice, as he's already attracted Alice, Lydia, Paulina Sanchez, Jazz Fenton, possibly Desiree and Selphie so far. It's currently unknown if more girls will become attracted to him.
  • Continuity Nod: With this being a combination of Kingdom Hearts and Nicktoons Unite, there are a lot of references in these respective worlds, including cameos from characters that never appeared in their original games.
    • When the heroes meet up with Pongo and Perdita for the first time, they mention their missing puppies and pet humans, Roger and Anita.
    • Their trip to Wonderland features appearances from the Dodo, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and the Mad Hatter and March Hare, respectively.
    • Olympus Coliseum references Hercules: The Animated Series and features characters from it like Icarus and Adonis. And if what Hades says in the last part is correct, we may be seeing more characters from the respective series.
    • Deep Jungle puts Professor Archimedes Q. Porter and Tantor in with the other characters residing in Deep Jungle.
    • Interestingly, Amity Park not only has most of the Danny Phantom villain cast but also includes two cameos with Akira Tadokoro and the Coachman.
  • Culture Clash: Danny, Jimmy, and Timmy learn that the worlds of Kingdom Hearts are similar to or based on the books and fiction of their respective universes.
  • Death by Adaptation: Johnny 13 gets taken by the darkness in this story, causing Kitty to go ballistic and wanting to take down Sora in revenge, even though he had nothing to do with Johnny's disappearance.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite Donald being more lenient in taking more party members this time around (thanks to Jimmy's argument about how not meddling would prevent Donald's problems in finding King Mickey), when Riku is offered to join, he refuses, not giving any reason to them, but doesn't tell the others that he's working for Maleficent and the Syndicate. The only ones suspicious of Riku's odd behavior is Danny (who is unaware that he has fought him before, albeit Riku was wearing a mask) and Tarzan, who senses the darkness creeping in Riku's heart.
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: When Sora promises Jazz that he'll ensure her parents are safe, she reacts with a blush. Danny notices and threatens to deck him if he tries anything with his sister (after calling Sora his friend). Sora is more confused than threatened, though.
  • Ship Tease: Riku and Valerie's interactions come off as a little flirtatious.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Clayton, who had died by the Stealth Sneak squashing him and disappearing into darkness in canon, joins the villains and works alongside Skulker in this story.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Jimmy recognizes various Disney worlds from the source material the films draw on, but often gets blindsided by the changes to said source material. This especially turns up in Olympus Coliseum, as he presumes that Hades is a decent guy because of the Greek myths, unaware that this version of Hades is a villain.
