My Hero Prime is a series of fanfics by Spider-Izuku that blends characters from Transformers and My Hero Academia.
- Book 1: Transform: The first story in the series. After the Autobots crashed on Earth 231 years ago, young Izuku Midoria finds his world changed when he meets them and discovers There's More To Him Than Meets The Eye. This series of fanfics provides examples of:
- Action Prologue: The first chapter of Book 1 opens with the Ark and Nemesis battling above Earth's orbit, resulting in the Decepticons crashing on Earth's moon and the Autobots crashing into the Earth, with the Ark breaking up in the process and the front half ending up under Japan's sea.
- Alien Arts Are Appreciated: The Autobots have watched several human films and quote several famous lines even during battle, to Arcee's annoyance. Bulkhead, Ironhide, and Bumblebee are also fans of WWE and use a few wrestling moves against the Decepticons.
- Composite Character: Several of the Transformers have characteristics of multiple versions of them. For instance, Bulkhead is primarily the version from Transformers: Prime but with his Animated counterpart's wrecking ball.
- Death by Adaptation: Inko Midoria tragically dies before the events of the story unexpectedly, with her serving as a Death by Origin Story for both Izuku and Kaina.
- The Dreaded: Soundwave is described as "one of the four Decepticons that no Autobot ever wanted to run into".
- Malicious Misnaming: Barricade constantly refers to Bumblebee by his old name "B-127", despite knowing what his new name is. It is likely Barricade simply doesn't care.
- Mythology Gag:
- The Nemesis crashed on the Earth's moon in the first chapter, just like the Mini-Con ship served as their base in Transformers: Armada. The Autobot Ark being underwater also harkens towards Transformers: Animated.
- Arcee mentions having a Pink color scheme previously, as most versions of her are known for, before needing to change to the Blue color scheme of her Prime design.
- Bumblebee and Barricade fighting while Bumblebee attempts to save Izuku and Kaina is a reference to their fight during the first live-action movie. Also, Barricade refers to Bumblebee as "B-127", his original designation from his titular film.
- Noodle Incident: Whatever happened on Ragnar-7. We don't know any specific details, just that it caused Arcee to change her paint-job from pink to blue and that it involved one of Wheeljack's grenades blowing up a ship running on Red Energon.
- Shout-Out:
- The former HPSC President that Lady Nagant killed is named "Danzo Masayoshi", confirmed to be a mixture of the two fictional characters Danzo Shimura from Naruto and Masayoshi Shido from Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. He was apparently just as horrible of a person as both of them were too.
- The abandoned amusement park Fazbear's Pizzaria Playground is an obvious reference to Five Nights at Freddy's.
- Bumblebee tells Izuku and Kaiba "Come with me if you want to live".
- Ironhide gives the famous Sudden Impact quote "Go ahead. Make my day." before fighting some Vehicons, to Arcee's annoyance.
- Starter Villain: There are actually two villains that fit, one from both the MHA and Transformers setting.
- The Slime Villain is this just like he was in canon, with Izuku jumping in to save Bakugou from him, but this time the event is what causes Izuku to discover his Cybertronian powers.
- Barricade serves as one to Izuku too. He and his squad of Vehicons are the first Transformers he and Kaina encounter, and Izuku helps Bumblebee fight off Barricade, saving his life at one point.
- Wrestler in All of Us: Bulkhead surprisingly does Undertaker's Signature Move, Tombstone Piledriver, on one Vehicon. Ironhide says the two of them and Bumblebee are big fans of old wrestling videos, but when they do the moves they are very real.
