You've come home...

"Doctor, do you know what Haddonfield is? Families, children, all lined up in rows up and down these streets. You're telling me they're lined up for a slaughterhouse?"
Sheriff Leigh Brackett, Halloween (1978)

A large fan community located on Facebook, that centers around the universe within the horror movie franchise Halloween, it consists of multiple people role playing as various characters from the many installments ranging from the original film Halloween (1978) to it's various successors such as Halloween II(1981) and Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers(1988) to even Halloween (2007).

It deals with the story of how the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois was like in the year of 1978 prior to that dreaded Halloween night before Michael Myers returned home for the slaughter as well as the lives of various residents within the town such as Laurie Strode herself, her best friends Annie Brackett and Lynda Van Der Klok, and the town sheriff, Leigh Brackett. Other major players include Deputy Gary Hunt from H2 (1981), Ben Meeker and his teenage daughter Kelly from H4 (1988), and of course the infamous Dr. Samuel Loomis himself.

"To protect and serve Haddonfield!"

The local law enforcement of Haddonfield, Illinois. Despite overseeing a small suburban town, the department is well-staffed with multiple deputies on duty and are fully capable of dealing with crime, no matter how big or small.

Originally headed by Ron Barstow as sheriff back in the 50's and 60's before Barstow retired and his top deputy Leigh Brackett succeeded him. Gary Hunt soon became Leigh's deputy sheriff afterwards.

"Well, it's Halloween. I guess everyone's entitled to one good scare, huh?"
"Doctor, do you know what Haddonfield is? Families, children, all lined up in rows up and down these streets. You're telling me they're lined up for a slaughterhouse?"

Played by: Charles Cyphers

The good Sheriff of Haddonfield, Leigh is the highly respected and beloved leader of the Haddonfield Police Department. He had moved to Haddonfield from Cleveland, Ohio, some time before the death of Judith Myers, soon taking over as sheriff after the previous man, Ron Barstow, had retired. As sheriff of the small midwestern town, Leigh’s a man more than comfortable with his suburban life with his wife, Joanne, and daughter, Annie.

Having been the one who took Gary in and hired him at HPD after the man had returned from the Vietnam War, the two have since formed an iron willed relationship that has extended past best friends and into a brotherly bond.

  • '70s Hair: He sports the sideburns typically seen during the period.
  • The Ace: The entire HPD considers him to be the greatest boss ever and you can bet on Leigh to approach a difficult situation with calmness and authority expected from a Sheriff. And when it comes to a fight, he's just as battle ready as any of his men.
  • Action Dad: The strong willed leader of the Haddonfield police force is also the loving father of his daughter, Annie Brackett.
  • Action Hero: Being the Sheriff of the police force, Leigh had more than earned this title.
  • All-Loving Hero: Leigh is a very caring and accepting man who holds the residents of Haddonfield, especially the kids, dear to his heart.
  • Loved by All: Almost the entirety of Haddonfield hold nothing but complete respect and love for Leigh, holding the good Sheriff in a deservedly high regard. Gary considers Leigh to be among one of the greatest men he's known and the entire HPD is completely loyal to the man.
George Logan: It'd be a real cold day in hell when we don't have our boss’ back. And I don't see any damn ice.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: You can always count on Leigh to be leading his deputies steadfastly when faced with a dangerous situation. This is best showcased during the infamous warehouse shootout during the Human Trafficking storyline, where he's on the frontlines shooting thugs with as much precision as Gary and Ben.

    Deputy Gary Hunt

Deputy Gary Hunt

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1079_8.PNG
"It always feels like no matter what I do, I'm always too late to help the people I love..."
"You know, Haddonfield was a pretty quiet town before tonight. The only gunshot you heard was to start off the race at the high school track."

Played by: Hunter Von Leer

One of main protagonists of the community, Gary Hunt is a young, optimistic, and selfless sheriff’s deputy. A lifelong resident of Haddonfield, he was only sixteen years old when Michael Myers murdered his older sister Judith. Having been close to her in life, Judith’s death had a profound effect on Gary’s outlook on life. The right-hand man of Sheriff Leigh Brackett, Gary and Leigh are close best friends and have an everlasting trust with each other. In fact, Leigh had been the first man to give Gary his first job after he had recovered from his injuries sustained from a landmine during the Vietnam War.

A charmer at heart, Hunt is a well known man around town and is almost universally well-liked; with the few notable exceptions.

Of course, Gary isn't perfect and too often for his own good, he tends to strike up relationships with women that usually don't end very well; giving him no end of heartbreak or injuries. Not to mention, he feels he has to do things alone in order to get them done, which sometimes turns out for the worse.

  • 10-Minute Retirement: Well, a lot more longer than just 10 minutes, but this trope still applies. After the whole incident with the Tower family turning out to be cannibalistic murders as well as the heartbreak involving Wendy Tower, he went into a deep depression and had to take a couple months off the force to try to cope. Even when he came back on the job, he was still assigned to desk duty and had to take some therapy sessions before he was fully cleared to go back on the field.
  • '70s Hair: As befitting of the era, Gary sports quite the stylish blonde mane.
  • The Ace: Gary is often regarded as one of the best cops in Haddonfield and with good reason, to the point that he's the most trusted deputy to Leigh. It says something that he's the very first suggestion as Sheriff if Leigh were to ever retire.
    • Broken Ace: That's not to say he's untouchable. He tends to experience most of the show’s tragedies and horrors. And the man is clearly affected by it.
  • Action Dad: Both a biological and a nonbiological variant; his father-son relationships with Andy Wayne (former) and Lonnie Elamb (latter) certainly counts and Gary can definitely kick a good deal of ass. Come the birth of him and Ellie's daughter Emma, he's officially earned this.
  • Action Hero: Hunt kicks large amounts of ass and arrests criminals all to keep Haddonfield and it’s residents safe on a daily basis. It comes with being a police officer.
  • Agent Scully: Gary often brushes off Logan’s beliefs in such things like ghosts or Bigfoot, dismissing them as just “conspiracy theories”.
"You're still goin' where we send ya, George."

    Deputy Ben Meeker

Deputy Ben Meeker

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_4461.PNG
"I've got a town to protect, residents to serve, and a psychotic bastard to find."
"Hey, we got a town full of beer bellies runnin’ around in the dark with shotguns! Who's gonna be next? Somebody's wife? Somebody's kid? I can't stand by for that. Not and carry a badge."

Played By: Beau Starr

Originally from New York City, Ben is a grumpy but courageous Deputy of the Haddonfield Police Department. Once a former member of the NYPD, he's long since settled down in the environment of a small town deputy living with his beloved wife, Kathy, and their children, Kelly and Ben Jr. A true family man at heart, Ben’s an incredible father and a loving husband.

Ben can be rather irritable and overall gruff but while that is genuine, don't let that fool you. Beneath the cranky exterior, lies a truly compassionate man who dearly loves and cares for his family and friends. He's utterly loyal to his fellow cops and will defend Haddonfield and its residents with fierce determination.

He holds an especially close and trustworthy friendship with Deputy George Logan, the two men possessing an outright brotherly relationship despite their seemingly constant bickering.

  • The Ace: Ben’s regarded as one of the top deputies in the department, being exceptionally skilled at investigations, is easily one of the best fighters in the show, has excellent aim with a firearm, and is often entrusted with some of the most difficult cases.
  • Action Dad: Ben is the proud father of his daughter, Kelly and son, Ben Jr. He's also one of the toughest characters on the show.
  • Action Hero: Boy, is he ever. From serving in the Vietnam War to his current job as a Deputy, Ben is a man who's more than ready to arm himself with a shotgun.

    Deputy George Logan

Deputy George Logan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_0938.PNG
"Isn't all this a little paranoid?"
"I wear this badge for a reason, fellas. I wake up, pin it on my chest, and polish it for that same reason. Serve and protect the public. And I'm damn proud of it.”

Played By: George Sullivan

The eccentric and quirky deputy of Haddonfield PD and the more energetic best friend and partner to Ben Meeker. George is a man with a rather imaginative mind and somewhat dubious beliefs. Considered by his peers as the departments "official unofficial paranormal investigator" due to his numerous run-ins with odd police reports that he claims involve the work of the supernatural, ranging from "local Bigfoot sightings" to "being haunted by ghosts."

Despite these claims and his eccentricity, Logan has proven himself on more than one occasion as both a capable deputy and a good man with a kind heart. He also served in the Vietnam War as a Scout for the Army Rangers, a service he's quite proud of.

A close friend to Ben and Kathy Meeker, Logan's considered family by them and their two children, Kelly and Ben Jr., who view him as their honorary uncle. In return, George himself holds them all dear to his heart.

  • The Ace: Much like his two compatriots above, George is considered one of the top deputies of Haddonfield PD. He's solved numerous cases and apprehended various criminals while possessing the sharpest aim in the whole department.
  • Action Hero: George isn't afraid in the slightest to get in the heat of the action with his fists ready and firearms loaded. The man has served in Vietnam and defended Haddonfield from numerous threats.
  • BunnyEarsLawyer: He's an absolute eccentric with questionable beliefs but he's one of Leigh's most trusted deputies and highly respected by his peers.

    Deputy Fred King

Deputy Fred King

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1180.PNG
"This work, all the imagery it leaves you with? It ain't easy. But in the end, helping the ones who need it and coming home to a warm house makes it worth it. Always."
"I've faced my fair share of hardships in life. Enough prejudice to make a man question it all. But wearing this uniform and protecting people helps me realize the importance of it all."

Played By: Mark Christopher Lawrence

Originally from Chicago, Fred King grew up in the streets of the South Side with his parents and siblings. Fred experienced law enforcement at a young age upon witnessing an on-duty officer of Chicago PD prevent a armed robbery at the local grocery store and was inspired as a result.

After moving to Haddonfield to attend the local college and joining the police academy, Fred met his wife, Grace, and eventually they married and birthed three children. Fred was then drafted into the Vietnam War as a frontline soldier before coming back home to be officially recruited into the Haddonfield PD by Leigh Brackett.

Fred's a jovial and compassionate man with enough skills and grit to be relied upon as one of the top deputies in the department. He's formed many strong bonds with his fellow officers such as Ben Meeker and Gary Hunt. But his strongest friendship lies with Bill Webb, his partner on the force.

  • Action Hero: A capable deputy with more than enough participation in shoot-outs and fights who also severed on the frontlines in the Vietnam War.
  • Action Dad: In addition to being a cop, Fred's also the proud father to his daughters, Trisha and Gina, and son, Curtis.
  • Badass Normal: He's got nothing but his wits, police skills, and firearms on him and that's all he needs to kick ass and save the day.
  • Canon Immigrant: Originally a minor character from Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009) who receives much greater focus here as well as being transplanted into the 70's era of the original film.

Secondary Characters

    Deputy Hank Pierce

Deputy Hank Pierce

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_4436.PNG
"Just once, I'd like some change of pace from listening to Mrs. Elrod whine about coyotes in her backyard."
"Haddonfield Police, this is Deputy Pierce. How may I assist you?"

Played By: Michael Flynn

Hank Pierce is a considerably more younger deputy who mainly operates the front desk at the Haddonfield police station taking the various calls and relaying the reports over the radio. He's somewhat less experienced and savvy than his older compatriots but he's still a competent and skilled member of the force.

Due to his position as the official police dispatcher, Hank tends to sit out on most of the action his fellow deputies partake in much to his occasional chagrin. He wishes to be out on the field alongside them and proving his worth.

He's also notoriously fussy about keeping his appearance, particularly his hair, as groomed and fashionable as possible. As such, when he's not relaying important information to his co-workers, he can usually be seen applying hairspray or looking at himself in the mirror.

As of recently, he's begun a relationship with the new HPD secretary Jessica Strode and has even proposed to her.

  • Mission Control: He's the main police dispatcher who takes the calls and dutifully relays them to his fellow deputies. He's not always terribly fond of being stuck in this position though and wishes to be out patrolling the streets sometimes instead.

    Deputy Bill Webb

Deputy Bill Webb

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_4409.PNG
"Ready to mount up, boys?!"
"The man inside that shack shot my partner. We're bagging him and cuffing him no matter what."

Played By: Bill Fagerbakke

Born and raised in Haddonfield all his life, Bill Webb is a hometown boy at heart. He was the former star linebacker for the Haddonfield Huskers back in high school and served in 'Nam on the front lines before returning home and joining the department.

Bill's a dedicated family man to his wife and children, capable of juggling both his work life and his personal life rather well without one interfering with the other. He's also one of the top ranking members of the department. He even used to be Leigh's Number Two before humbly stepping down after Gary Hunt was recruited.

He's very well liked and respected around the station, being personal friends with the majority of his comrades including Ben Meeker, George Logan, and most especially Fred King.

  • Acrofatic:While not exactly overweight, he's noticeably husky. Despite that, he's still perfectly capable of keeping up with fleeing criminals on foot and such. Considering he's a former football player, this makes sense.
  • The Big Guy: Shares this position within the department alongside Meeker and Rettig, being a rather large man with impressive strength and tenacity.

    Deputy Ken Ramsay

Deputy Ken Ramsay

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1060_1.PNG
"But we just closed it up!"
"Lazy isn't the word I'd use on myself. More... world weary. It's a crazy world out there, after all."

Played By: Ken Smolka

An argumentative and rather lazy deputy who tends to protest whenever he's given orders by anyone, no matter what the situation. Ken Ramsay is also another lifelong resident of Haddonfield, having joined the department sometime during his tenure at Haddonfield Community College.

He's known by his peers to be rather unmotivated and rather hard to impress. He argues that it's more out of general world weariness but it's not fooling anybody. Despite that, he's shown himself as a capable lawman in his own right with the proper motivation.

He's recently been appointed as the trainer for the rookie Deputy Stuart Maxwell and has developed a close fatherly bond with the younger deputy.

    Deputy Andy Neale

Deputy Andy Neale

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1183.PNG
"Hey, Annie. I just do what the boss tells me."
"I mean, of course I'm gonna follow protocol but... it's Haddonfield, ya know? What really happens in Haddofield?"

Played By: Greg Travis

Andy Neale had grown up in Haddonfield and never really left save for the occasional holiday vacation. According to Gary Hunt, he "never seemed particularly ambitious even in high school." While rather lazy like Ramsay, it doesn't take much for the competent officer beneath to surface. He can always be relied on to follow orders and act accordingly.

He leads a rather lonely social life outside of his friendships with his deputies. He's had his fair share of relationships but they tend to burn out rather quickly for his taste and his family have all since moved out of town. As such, he spends his hours mostly drinking at the local bars and watching television at his trailer.

    Deputy Charlie Bloch

Deputy Charlie Bloch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1122.PNG
"Lets get ready to gear up and rip, fellas!"
"You call us for anything, ma'm, and we'll be right over in a flash."

Played By: Troy Evans

Charlie Bloch had been a former detective over in Langdon, living with his wife Loretta and son Daniel before Charlie got recruited into the 25th Infantry Division for the Vietnam War in 1968 and 1969. After his return, he and the family decided to move to Haddonfield where Charlie got transferred over to Haddonfield PD as a deputy.

A truly affable man with a large heart and a warm smile, Charlie is loved and respected around the station and the town. Being one of the oldest members of the department as well as a veteran, he's got more than a few notches on his belt and his experience is unquestionable.

He's partnered up with Eddie Gray and has since remained both his best friend and his father figure.

    Deputy Eddie Gray

Deputy Eddie Gray

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1134_3.PNG
"Guess you could say I know how it feels to be the victim."

"To some others, moving from Russellville to Haddonfield doesn't feel much different. But to me, it was like trading a rundown shack in for a mansion."

Played By: Fenton Quinn

Having grown up under the abusive roof of his drunken father over in Russellville, Eddie Gray had aspirations of becoming a police officer since he was a child. With the goal of making sure no one ever suffered like he did and people like his father were put behind bars, he moved out of his hometown and joined Haddonfield PD.

While younger and more fresh than his more seasoned compatriots, Eddie's proved his capability and knowledge on numerous occasions. He's quickly gained the respect from his fellow deputies while still having much to learn.

He's especially learning from being the partner to the more experienced Charlie Bloch, the two having grown a father-son relationship that Eddie had always needed.

    Deputy Peter Rettig

Deputy Peter Rettig

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_5084.PNG
"We swore the oath to protect and serve, right? Let's uphold it then then!"
"Life's full of lessons and no ones above them. Not you, not me. The law is the law."

Played By: Clancy Brown

A ten year veteran on the force, Peter Rettig is both a stern and authoritative man with a grizzled intimidation factor second only to Ben Meeker. One of Leigh Brackett's earliest recruits, he's one of the most trusted and seasoned deputies on HPD.

Much like Meeker, Rettig possesses quite the temper, though his is more restrained in comparison. Despite that, he's a well-meaning man with a protective streak towards children. He's also the proud owner of his small bulldog Natalie.

    Laurie Strode

"It was the boogeyman..."
"Tommy, Halloween night...it's when people play tricks on each other...It's all make believe. I think Richie was just trying to scare you."

Played By: Jamie Lee Curtis

Laurie Strode is a 17-year old girl, living in Haddonfield, Illinois with her parents Morgan and Pamela Strode. She's known for being incredibly smart, and is known all over town for her bookish and quiet personality. She is a senior at Haddonfield High School, and, as a consequence of her bookish personality, finds it difficult to date boys.

Years ago, in kindergarten, Laurie befriended Annie Brackett and Lynda Van Der Klok. The two girls are Laurie's best friends.

Laurie becomes romantically involved with classmate Randy Prince, and they have an on again-off again relationship.

On October 31, 1978, Michael Myers escapes from Smith's Grove Sanitarium, and kills Annie and Lynda, and attacks Laurie. Laurie is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital.

Unknown to her, however, is that she's actually the long lost younger sister to Michael Myers himself and was subsequently adopted by the Strodes after her birth parents died in a car crash back in 1965.

Dr. Loomis tracks Michael down to the hospital, which allows Laurie to escape, and Loomis to incapacitate Michael.

  • Adorkable: Laurie's shy booksmart nature tends to leave her unprepared to talk most boys, most especially ones she's attracted to. This is most prevalent in her interactions with Randy Prince. The two are positively adorable.

    Annie Brackett

Annie Marie Brackett

"Hey jerk! Speed kills!"
"Poor Laurie. Scared another one away. It's tragic, you *never* go out. You must have a small fortune stashed away from babysitting so much."

Played By: Nancy Kyes (Loomis)

Annie Brackett is a 17-year old girl living in Haddonfield, Illinois. Originally from Peoria, Annie was born to Leigh and Joanne Brackett in 1961, before they eventually resettled in Haddonfield.

Annie is known to her family and friends as a sassy, sarcastic teenager, however, Annie cares deeply for her friends and loved ones. Laurie Strode and Lynda Van Der Klok are close friends of hers, and she affectionately refers to Gary Hunt, Leigh's right hand deputy, as "Uncle Gary."

On the evening of October 31, 1978, Annie was murdered by Michael Myers, who had escaped from Smith's Grove the prior evening.

    Lynda Van Der Klok

Lynda Van Der Klok

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_5745.JPG
"See anything you like?"
"Totally!"

Played By: PJ Soles

Lynda is one of the most popular students in Haddonfield High with a knack for focusing more on cute boys than her education and a ditzy disposition. Lynda has a classic high school scenario being a member of the cheerleading squad while dating one of the star athletes, Bob Simms.

She's renowned throughout her peers for her trendy phrases that she changes monthly. One month, it'll be "gross!". Next month, it'll be "jack!". The one phrase that tends to stick around consistently, however, is "totally!".

Best friends with Laurie Strode and Annie Brackett, Lynda tends to be the least responsible of the trio and has a tendency to say things out loud and unmoderated. While this understandably gets on both Laurie and Annie's nerves, it's clear that Lynda does genuinely care and love them.

On October 31st, 1978, Lynda ends up getting killed alongside Annie and her boyfriend Bob by the escaped killer Michael Myers, who's secretly Laurie's long separated older brother.

    Bob Simms

Robert "Bob" David Simms

"I'll be right back. Don't get dressed!"
"First, I rip your clothes off. Then I rip my clothes off, then I rip Lindsey's clothes off. Yeah, I think I got it."

Played By: John Michael Graham

Bob Simms has it all as a teenager, being both the tight end on the Haddonfield Huskers and lead pitcher on high school baseball team. He's one of the top students with chance of being valedictorian and dating the hottest girl in school, Lynda Van der Klok.

Don't let those large Coke bottle glasses fool you either. He's known to possess a natural charm and pretty much friends with half the student body. He has the markings of a true 70's teenager with the knack of scoring the best weed and cruising around in his dad's groovy van with his best pal, Paul Freedman.

On October 31st, 1978, however, he fell victim to the escaped mental patient Michael Myers along with his girlfriend and friend Annie Brackett.

    Kelly Meeker

Kellyane "Kelly" Meeker

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_4457.PNG
"When you have a dad as overprotective as mine, a dating life can be pretty be hard to accomplish."
"Dad's always coming home grumpy, mom."

Played By: Kathleen Kinmont

The beloved daughter of Ben and Kathy Meeker and the older sister to Ben Jr, Kelly's a smart-mouthed teenage girl with aspirations for a healthy date life and a bright future. Having moved to Haddonfield at a young age with her family, Kelly never had much trouble adjusting to living in the more suburban neighborhood in comparison to the more crazy environment of New York City unlike her father.

While she dearly loves her entire family and spending time with them, Kelly possesses the same desire of attending high school parties and meeting cute boys as any teenage girl does. Her father's overprotective nature tends to put a large damper on that, however, and as such leads to the two clashing on many occasions.

Despite this, she possesses a close loving relationship with her parents ever since she was a little girl, particularly with her dad. And while Ben Jr and her do squabble and get on each other's nerves as siblings normally do, they ultimately care about one another greatly and Kelly does her best to look out for her younger brother.

    Randy Prince

Randall "Randy" Prince

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_5779.JPG
"This summer just got a whole lot better!"
"Spring Break! Got a few sixers, some some tunes on the boom box, my buddies and a week of hell to raise! Woohoo!"

Played By: Jonathan Prince

The son of Bruce and Carol Prince, Randy Prince is a young admirable boy with a strong heart and a sociable personality. Renowned by his classmates for his wild teenage parties, he's friends with the vast majority of his fellow high schoolers, with Ben Tramer and Dick Baxter being his best friends in particular.

He's recently began an on-again, off-again relationship with his crush, Laurie Strode. While both are rather inexperienced in the relationship department, the two are slowly learning the mechanisms of it all together.

Randy also possesses a certain respect for the local police, unlike his teenage peers. Particularly, he's grown an almost father-son interaction with Deputy Ben Meeker.
