Parting from her fate to kill.
Those that involve themselves with her are often victims of unfortunate accidents, sickness, and an untimely passing. Due to her reputation involving death that's what she eventually became known as. Many on the island loathe her due to the misfortune she seems to bring.
- Driven to Suicide: At one point Ceres tries to kill herself when she believes Yves is dead. This occurs in a number of bad ends as well.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has bright blonde hair and is very kind.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: Due to the constant misfortune that she causes around her, Ceres is shunned and feared by everyone near her despite her kind-hearted nature.
- It's All My Fault: Ceres feels that she has caused the tragedies in her life. This applies to most of the unfortunate events that take place throughout the story as well.

A young masked man who's earnestness and sincerity has made him quite popular with the people on the island. He's a jack of all trades and runs a business known as Courrune. He also works as a member of the Corps with Adolphe. An incident in the past connects him and the heroine.- Facial Horror: As a result of a house fire, half his face was burned off.
- Masking the Deformity: He wears a mask to hide the scar on his face.
- Nice Guy: Despite his eccentricities, Yves is ultimately a kind-hearted man who wants to help others.
- Two-Faced: The half Yves' face has a black, mesh mask on it while the rest of his face is normal looking.

Spurning his fate to forgive.
A timid and incredibly shy young man that comes from an affluent family. Having spent the majority of his life reading in his mansion he has difficulty socializing. After his older brother was killed he's been set on taking his revenge.- The Baby of the Bunch: At 17 years old, he's the youngest of the group.
- Sheltered Aristocrat: Being someone who came from a wealthy family, he is rather clueless to the world outside. When he is invited to Yves' place, he's amazed by how small Yves' regular sized home is.
Scien Brofiise

Unwavering in his fate to preserve.
A talented scientist who is the director of the Institute and de facto ruler of the country. He created Reliver technology and is the oldest Reliver in existence. He has no qualms when it comes to using friends, family, and even himself to further his research.- Artificial Human: Scien is a Reliver, a lab made human.
- Distinguishing Mark: The prominent "tattoo" on Scien's throat is a Reliver mark.
- Genius Slob: His living space is incredibly messy and will only get worse if no one bothers cleaning it for him. He feels its a waste of time to do anything besides research.
- Older Than They Look: Due to being a Reliver, he has the appearance of a 23-year old despite having lived for much longer.
- The Stoic: Scien lacks emotion and he's gone out of his way to phase them out of his system. He views them as a flaw or "bug" in Reliver builds.

Believing in his fate to lead.
A kind and beautiful man that works as a traveling teacher. He holds classes in a number of facilities, including the orphanage where the heroine lives. He is a devout follower and believer of God and regularly attends church.- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Lucas is quite pretty and his hair goes down to his waist.
- Muscles Are Meaningless: He's extremely strong, despite his delicate appearance.
- Super-Strength: He is shown to have immense strength.
Adolphe

Affirming his fate to pursue.
Despite his brusque demeanor he's a kind man who can't overlook those in need. He was raised in the same orphanage as the heroine and she views him as a foster brother. He now lives on the outskirts of town and is the leader of the Corps.- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He is brash and blunt with his words, but he does have a softer side.

Toying with his fate to keep watch.
A mysterious and ethereal man who claims to be the "Watchman of Death".- Disease Bleach: Ankou's hair was originally black. Due to stress and trauma it has turned grey.

- Becoming the Mask: She opened the orphanage in order to aid the Institute. She took Adolphe and the heroine in believing they could be the key to uncovering the truth behind the curse. She grew to truly love them as her own.
- Mama Bear: She's very protective of her children, especially Ceres and Adolphe. Even more so when it comes to her biological son. Armed guards and angry villagers are just some of the things she's willing to defend them from.
- Older Than They Look: As a Reliver, she looks like a 21 year old despite having lived for much longer.
