  • Butt-Monkey: If something painful and/or humiliating has to happen to somebody, half the time, it happens to him

  • Cowboy Cop: Shortly in Season 3. Also implied
  • Does Not Like Guns
  • Hidden Depths: Claimed to dropped French in grade 9 but later we find out he can speak it fluently meaning that he was only pretending to be French-illiterate.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Combined with Really Gets Around, you wonder if Allan Hawco didn't come up with the series so he can look sexy and kiss gorgeous women.

  • Tap on the Head: Happens so much, you wonder how he doesn't have brain damage by the end of the series.

  • Adorkable
  • Butt-Monkey: The other half of the time, the painful and/or humiliating things happen to Des.
  • Disappeared Dad: He hasn't seen his father in years due to him doing time in prison.
  • Geek: Of the computer variety
  • Hero Worship: Towards Jake.
  • The Klutz: Claims to once have fallen off a bench. From the sitting position.
  • Motor Mouth

Katrina ``Tinny`` Doyle

Played by: Marthe Bernard

  • Disappeared Dad: Grew up not knowing who her father is. At the end of season 3, she learns it's Kevin Crocker
  • Fair Cop: Once she becomes one, anyway.
  • Former Teen Rebel: An unusual case in where we see the transition from pot grower to police officer.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Starts police training in Season 4 and becomes an official officer later.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Was kind of manipulative and willing to break laws in the beginning.

Christian Doyle

Played By: Jonathan Doyle

  • Broken Ace:
  • Demoted to Extra: Had a prominent presence in the first two seasons before mostly disappearing in the third with him only appearing in two episodes.

  • Missing Mom: Has a bad habit of disappearing without notice.
