An FBI agent tasked with aiding Alexander Mahone in his pursuit of the Fox River Eight.


  • Action Girl: Being an FBI agent, she knows how to use a gun and shows it.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: She has unrequited romantic feelings for her boss, Mahone. They eventually get together.
  • Ascended Extra: Lang was just one of Mahone's cronies, but her role gradually increased.
  • Back for the Finale: She's one of many faces that show up in the Series Finale.
  • Relationship Upgrade: With Mahone, who she's in love with.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: She ultimately decides this when she lets Mahone go free.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Mahone. She never questions him when he's in command, and he trusts her far more than Wheeler because of it. When she has the drop on him, she chooses to let him go instead of arresting him.

  • Good Is Not Nice: Sullins may not be a nice guy, but his intentions are genuine.
  • Internal Affairs: His official role.
  • Hero Antagonist: To Mahone, frequently. Sullins makes it his mission in life to see Mahone pay for his numerous crimes.

Don Self's boss and the director of Homeland Security in Los Angeles.


  • Asshole Victim: He is killed by one of his own men, who is really an Undercover Comapny operative, just as he is about to kill the Scylla Team to cover his own tracks. Doubles as a Karmic Death.
  • Dirty Cop: To keep Self's treachery a secret so he can maintain his professional reputation, Stanton decides to kill the Scylla Team.
  • Jerkass: He treats the team (and Self) with absolute contempt and tries to pull the plug on the operation, and takes it out on Self when the latter gets the Senator to overrule him.

The governor of Illinois and Sara's father. The character's strict policies on crime earned him the nickname "Frontier Justice Frank". He disapproves of Sara's decision to work at Fox River.


  • He Knows Too Much: Frank is murdered by the Company when he starts digging into the Burrows case.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Frank may be short-tempered and even ruthless, but he's a clean politician with a strong sense of justice who loves his daughter. He even takes a second look at Lincoln's case and becomes convinced of his innocence.
  • Never Suicide: The Company kills him and makes it look like a hanging.
  • Obstructive Bureaucrat: Frank doggedly refuses to even entertain the possibility that Lincoln is innocent for a very long time. He eventually gets over this.
  • Papa Wolf: To his daughter, who he loves dearly despite their strained relationship.
  • Well Done, Junkie Daughter Girl
