     Ayano Yuki

Agent 8/Ayano Yuki

Ultimate Test Subject

“Well, time to introduce myself. My name is Ayano Yuki, Ultimate Test Subject. ...which in hindsight, is a fucked up talent.”

Ayano Yuki is the Ultimate Test Subject and one of the six survivors of the killing game.

  • What the Hell, Hero?: This to Nikei, who she had thought of as a kind of friend, until he got Ralsei and Marin killed. However, her attempt to call him out got a lot more violent.

     Toko Fukawa

Toko Fukawa

'''Ultimate Writing Prodigy

“Y-you’re probably not going to r-remember it but… I-I’m Toko Fukawa, Ultimate Writing Prodigy.”

Toko Fukawa was the Ultimate Writing Prodigy and the first victim. She was killed by Sebastion De Beste, when she attempted to kill him in order to save herself.

     Marin Mizuta

Marin Mizuta

Ultimate Weather Forecaster

“Nice to meet you, Yoruko-Chan! Big Sis's name is Marin Mizuta, and her talent is the Ultimate Weather Forecaster! Let's hope that we can be friends, poka poka! o((^▽^))o!”

Marin Mizuta was the Ultimate Weather Forecaster. She was the fourth killer, if only by technicality. She was heavily manipulated, borderline straight up controlled, into killing Ralsei by Nikei Yomiuri. She had no memory of commiting the act, nor any intentions of hurting someone, even if it was done to save someone else.

  • Unwitting Pawn: She was this to Nikei. After spending some time with him and hanging out together, it was later revealed that he had drugged and manipulated her into killing Ralsei- and she didn’t even remember it.

     Yoruko Kabuya

Yoruko Kabuya

Ultimate Hostess

"Oh would you just grow up? I get it, people suck sometimes. You know I know that. But if you never trust anyone, if you keep holding onto all that bitterness… What good is it going to do you? Besides, aren’t you sick of it? Pretending to hate everyone you love? I know I am. I hope you are too."

Yoruko Kabuya is the Ultimate Hostess, later, it is implied she is simply the former Ultimate Hostess, however this is never outright said. She is the protagonist of the killing game and one of the six survivors.

  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: In the fifth trial, she does this by refusing to vote due to not being sure who the killer is. What she didn’t know, is that Franziska von Karma had taken control of the trial, and wanted there to be a vote quickly so that the game could be officially messed with. However, because Yoruko convinced the others to join her in her refusal of voting, the plan didn’t work and Franziska got executed even though she didn’t actually kill anyone.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Is gifted Teruya's hat and goggles by his will, and keeps them as a way to uphold her promise to him.

     Franziska von Karma

Franziska von Karma

'''Ultimate Prosecutor

“I cannot say that I wont die. But I certainly won't let myself be bested by such an obnoxious lizard. Now that, would be truly foolish.”

Franziska von Karma, called “Fran” by many of the participants, was the Ultimate Prosecutor. She did not technically kill Teruya Otori, but was executed during the fifth trial, as the masterminds decided that even though there was no way to prove if she was the killer or not, that they should execute her for the crime regardless.

  • Adoptive Peer Parent: This to Yoruko. Despite them being around the same age, even with Yoruko being a bit older, Franziska still acts as her mother in a way, and it is implied that she thought of her like a daughter.

     Hornet

Hornet

'''Ultimate Protector”

“Alright, I'll go next. I am Hornet, Daughter of Herrah and The Pale King. My Ultimate is Ultimate Protector. And please don't treat me like royalty, I hate that.”

Hornet was the Ultimate Protector. She was the third killer, killing Aradia and Young Link in order to save the animals.

     Ralsei

Ralsei

Ultimate Lonely Prince

“* Oh, have you come to rescue me?! Thank you! I don’t know how long I was like that… My name is Ralsei! The Ultimate Lonely Prince! Thank you again for saving me!

Ralsei was the Ultimate Lonely Prince. He was the fourth chapter victim, but fifth victim overall. He was killed by Marin Mizuta, who was manipulated by Nikei Yomiuri, who was attempting to save his friend without having to die himself.

  • Kill the Cutie: He was one of the most innocent and kind hearted in the killing game. So it was only a matter of time until he was killed. When it happened, it was gut wrenching. …. Physically and emotionally.

     Young Link

Young Link

Ultimate Swordsman

“Haha..nice to meet you. I am..Young Link - Please say the young, or just Link, the Ultimate … Swordsman.””

Young Link claimed to be the Ultimate Swordsman, but his true talent turned out to be Ultimate Time Traveler. He was the second third chapter victim, and fourth victim overall. He was killed by Hornet when he walked in on her mid murder. While not wanting to kill the young hero, she had no choice if she wanted even a slight chance in the trial.

  • He Knows Too Much: The reason why he was killed. He walked in on Hornet killing someone else, and died because of it.

     Red Crewmate/The Impostor

"Red Crewmate"

Ultimate Crewmate

“" You remind me of... something. Something that uses vents. Hmmmmmm. I feel like it’s super duper important. … But I can’t remember. Whoops! Hope it isn’t life threatening! You can call me Red.”

Red Crewmate, mostly called Red, thought his talent was the Ultimate Crewmate. However, it’s later revealed that this was due to memory loss, and his true ultimate talent was Ultimate Impostor. He was the second killer, killing Toon Link when he remembered his true nature as the Ultimate Impostor. He also gained a pet named Mini Crewmate who looked just like him, but smaller. Red, before his memory was returned, treated him like a son. However, once he knew who he really was, he discarded Mini like trash.

  • False Friend: Because Red was really The Impostor, he was never really friends with any of them, even if he didn’t know it until mid chapter two.

     Toon Link

Toon Link

Ultimate Sailor

“Link, Hero of Winds and Ultimate Sailor! Most people call me Toon Link though. To avoid confusion, I think...”

Toon Link was the Ultimate Sailor. He was the second victim, being killed by Red/The Impostor, due to his despair state. Toon Link was targeted as he was an easy victim because of the motive given to him. This motive caused him to randomly fall asleep at times he could not control, giving Impostor the perfect opportunity to strike.

     Mao Mao

Mao Mao

'''Ultimate Sheriff

“He said your name is Yoruko, right? Well, mine is Mao Mao, Sheriff of Pure Heart Valley. Although, I'm guessing my title in this place is Ultimate Sheriff.”

Mao Mao is the Ultimate Sheriff. Due to trauma caused by the first trial, he developed a split personality by the name of Pow Pow, who served as a wiser and kinder figure to both Mao Mao and the participants as a whole. He is one of the six survivors.

  • Split Personality: He gained one after the events of the first trial. Unlike most of the examples, neither Mao Mao or his split self Pow Pow were evil or played for drama. Pow Pow acted more at first as an annoyance and eventually a strong friend to Mao Mao and the rest of the group.

     John Constantine

John Constantine

'''Ultimate Occult Detective”

“I ain't the Ultimate Stripper, Nikei. I'm the Ultimate Occult Detective. We prefer not to do that aside from succubi.”

John Constantine is the Ultimate Occult Detective. He finds himself feeling like the father of Yoruko Kabuya and Nikei Yomiuri, so much so that he attempts numerous times to get the former to change her last name in the epilogue. He is one of the six survivors.

     Nikei Yomiuri

Nikei Yomiuri

Ultimate Journalist

“Snap out of it. We don't know if we'll get it wrong or not. I hate being the one to provide optimism, but there's still that 25%.”

Nikei Yomiuri is the Ultimate Journalist, and after the events of the killing game, he becomes the Former Ultimate Journalist. He was the mastermind behind the fourth murder, but not the game as a whole. He is one of the six survivors.

  • Redemption Failure: Nikei had just completed his redemption arc, having rekindled with Yoruko, and overall becoming a better person. … Until the very women who helped him become better was put in danger, unless someone killed. Not wanting to die himself due to his severe fear of death, he set up a plot for Marin to kill Ralsei, thus freeing Yoruko and keeping himself alive…. But at the cost of killing his redemption arc, along with his good relationship with Yoruko.

     Teruya Otori

Teruya Otori

Former Ultimate Merchant

“I’m sorry Yoruko. That I couldn’t keep our promise. But please… don’t let that stop you from holding onto hope! You can end this game, all of you. I know you can!”

Teruya Otori was the Former Ultimate Merchant. He was the sixth and final victim overall, and was killed in the fifth chapter by Mini Crewmate, in order to make an unsolvable murder. Franziska von Karma, while in on his plan, ended up being executed despite not truly being his killer.

  • AcCENT upon the Wrong SylLABle: He did this with Constantine a lot by mistake, along with misspelling it wrong often.
  • The Determinator: Teruya no matter what stays determined throughout every situation in the killing game.
  • Failure Hero: Teruya tries his best, but no matter what he does, he can't seem to save anyone throughout the course of the Killing Lockdown. . until his sacrifice at the end, which may have ultimately made it so no one else besides him and Franziska would have to die.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Gets one thanks to the second motive, due to becoming bipolar.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Pulls this when he's pissed off in Chapter 2, scaring the mascot of the killing game and basically everyone when he's pissed off, so much so that Ralsei's scared at him for the entire rest of the killing game.
  • Sanity Slippage: Less so then in the fourth chapter of SDRA2, but he does NOT take the fourth trial well in the least, possibly because one of his closest friends ended up being the blackened due to Nikei's manipulations.
  • The Promise: Teruya promises after the third trial that he will end the killing game with his bare hands, like a certain other green-haired killing game survivor. This comes to play in Chapter 5, as he ends up coming up with a plan to end the killing game himself with the help of Franziska.
  • Token Good Teammate: The only participant of the Killing Lockdown who was not a member of Deleo, as revealed by Yoruko in the final trial.
  • True Companions: Acknowledges that he considers Yoruko this in Chapter 3, and also believed this of Marin, which made Chapter 4 hurt all the harder. . .
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: Ends up playing into this in Chapter 2, due to his bipolarity and Teruya when he's angry tearing apart Aotokage, violating a rule, and scaring her so much as a result that she didn't even try to punish him as a result.
