Private/Corporal/Sergeant Roland Roger

- Alliterative Name: Roland Roger.
- All There in the Manual: You can see his name on the back of the CD case. He was only addressed by rank in-game.
- Chekhov's Skill: Riding a tank during "Tankers", it comes up again in "The Last Train" after your squadron captured a Panzer.
- Heroic Mime: Averted. He speaks in a few levels, such as "Tankers".
- New Meat: Was this during the Africa Campaign.
- Player Character: The player character for most of the game, except for "Liberators" where you play as his brother "Stretch".
- Sergeant Rock: Gets promoted to Sergeant after the Normandy landings.
- Target Spotter: In "Piano Lupo" and "The Great Crusade", he uses a pair of binoculars to call in artillery strikes at enemy armor and defenses.
Airman "Stretch" Roger

- Heroic Mime: Again, averted. He speaks at least two lines in the game.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Only referred to as Stretch.
- Player Character: In "Liberators".
Lieutenant/Captain Norman Delaney
Voiced by: J. Matthew Morton
- The Captain: Promoted into one later in the game.
- Lamarck Was Right: His backstory tells us his father was a decorated soldier in World War One, and he became an officer just like him.
- Sixth Ranger: His first appearance was brief during Operation Husky, but he fights alongside your squad in the last two missions.
Sergeant Glenn "Hawk" Hawkins
Voiced by: Michael Cudlitz
- A Father to His Men: His squadron holds a lot of respect for the man.
- Put on a Bus: Gets wounded for the third time (after getting gunned down in Africa and Sicily prior), and medevaced in "An Easy Detail".
- Promoted to Parent: In his backstory, he had to care for his mother and sisters after their father left for work and never came back.
- Sergeant Rock: Your squad leader, and willing to use his Thompson against the Germans.
- Weapon Specialization: Wields the Thompson submachine gun whenever he's around, but he was armed with a Garand in "The Great Crusade".
Private Victor "Vic" Denley
Voiced by: David Rees Snell
- The Big Guy: Armed with a B.A.R.
- Big Guy Fatality Syndrome: The first of your squadron to go.
- Killed Off for Real: Gets killed by a German machinegunner in "Farewell to Friends".
- Southern-Fried Private: Subverted. While he is from Texas and the most scrappy of your squadron, he's a very easy-going guy. Unless Brooklyn insults him.
Private/Corporal Alvin "Brooklyn" Bloomfield
Voiced by: Frank John Hughes
- Brooklyn Rage: Really from the Bronx.
- Forgotten Fallen Friend: His squadmates were celebrating over the destruction of the V2 rockets rather than grieving for Brooklyn. Odd since both Vic and Hawkins had some moment of remorse.
- Killed Off for Real: He was struck down by a mortar round in the last mission.
- Informed Judaism: His backstory stated he is the youngest of a Jewish family.
- Plucky Comic Relief: Usually at the expense of his teammates.
- Shoo Out the Clowns: Killed by mortar fire before the bloodbath at the Siegfried Line.
Private/Corporal/Sergeant Stephen Kelly
Voiced by: Richard Speight Jr..
- Badass Bookworm: Studied English and French literature at Yale before being drafted.
- Cowardly Lion: Easily the most timid member of your group, but he can still fend for himself in a fight.
- Prone to Vomiting: He suffers from seasickness, which hits him hard during the landing at Normandy.
- Sole Survivor: He is the only member of your original squadron not killed or replaced by the end of the game.
Private/Corporal John Jackson "Schmitty" Smith
Voiced by:
- Acrofatic: Despite his pudgy exterior, he can catch up with everyone. Possibly that he was stationed as a mechanic he gained a few pounds before being sent to the front lines.
- New Meat: Joined your group before Normandy.
- Replacement Goldfish: Joined your team after Vic is killed.
- The Engineer: One point repaired a Flak 88 during the D-Day mission.
Private Andy Allen
Voiced by:
- Killed Off for Real: A victim of a mortar round at the very end of the tutorial.
- New Meat
- Replacement Goldfish: Unlike Schmitty, Brooklyn seem to show some disdain towards him.Brooklyn (to Allen): Look here replacement, just because you have that patch on your shoulder doesn't mean you're one of us.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Was killed up in the tutorial, the same mission he debuted in.
Private Miles "Manny" "Max" Castillo
Voiced by:
- Advertised Extra: Has a profile of his own despite appearing in one mission.
- Killed Off for Real: Killed in a jeep crash from an German ambush.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: We met him in "An Easy Detail", died in a car crash in same level.
