Private/Corporal/Sergeant Roland Roger

Voiced by: Stephen Saux

  • Alliterative Name: Roland Roger.
  • All There in the Manual: You can see his name on the back of the CD case. He was only addressed by rank in-game.
  • Chekhov's Skill: Riding a tank during "Tankers", it comes up again in "The Last Train" after your squadron captured a Panzer.
  • Heroic Mime: Averted. He speaks in a few levels, such as "Tankers".
  • New Meat: Was this during the Africa Campaign.
  • Player Character: The player character for most of the game, except for "Liberators" where you play as his brother "Stretch".
  • Sergeant Rock: Gets promoted to Sergeant after the Normandy landings.
  • Target Spotter: In "Piano Lupo" and "The Great Crusade", he uses a pair of binoculars to call in artillery strikes at enemy armor and defenses.

Airman "Stretch" Roger

Voiced by:

Lieutenant/Captain Norman Delaney

Voiced by: J. Matthew Morton

  • The Captain: Promoted into one later in the game.
  • Lamarck Was Right: His backstory tells us his father was a decorated soldier in World War One, and he became an officer just like him.
  • Sixth Ranger: His first appearance was brief during Operation Husky, but he fights alongside your squad in the last two missions.

Sergeant Glenn "Hawk" Hawkins

Voiced by: Michael Cudlitz

Private Victor "Vic" Denley

Voiced by: David Rees Snell

  • Southern-Fried Private: Subverted. While he is from Texas and the most scrappy of your squadron, he's a very easy-going guy. Unless Brooklyn insults him.

Private/Corporal Alvin "Brooklyn" Bloomfield

Voiced by: Frank John Hughes

Private/Corporal/Sergeant Stephen Kelly

  • Badass Bookworm: Studied English and French literature at Yale before being drafted.
  • Cowardly Lion: Easily the most timid member of your group, but he can still fend for himself in a fight.
  • Prone to Vomiting: He suffers from seasickness, which hits him hard during the landing at Normandy.
  • Sole Survivor: He is the only member of your original squadron not killed or replaced by the end of the game.

Private/Corporal John Jackson "Schmitty" Smith

Voiced by:

  • Acrofatic: Despite his pudgy exterior, he can catch up with everyone. Possibly that he was stationed as a mechanic he gained a few pounds before being sent to the front lines.
  • New Meat: Joined your group before Normandy.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Joined your team after Vic is killed.
  • The Engineer: One point repaired a Flak 88 during the D-Day mission.

Private Andy Allen

Voiced by:

  • Killed Off for Real: A victim of a mortar round at the very end of the tutorial.
  • New Meat
  • Replacement Goldfish: Unlike Schmitty, Brooklyn seem to show some disdain towards him.
Brooklyn (to Allen): Look here replacement, just because you have that patch on your shoulder doesn't mean you're one of us.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Was killed up in the tutorial, the same mission he debuted in.

Private Miles "Manny" "Max" Castillo
