- Fairytale Motifs: Many Northland characters allude to fairy tales or other well-known fantastical stories, such as Louise being a young writer with a design that parallels Snow White, and Alice being a young girl with rabbit ears and a very distinct heart motif.

Northland Court
Bethlehem
Northlord with years of accumulated wisdom and experience. Able to handle anything without a sign of panic.
- The Confidant: Mutually with the Navigator. As one of the trustworthy few to have shared her past with as well as being an outsider to her nation's matters, the Navigator is someone she feels free to let her hair down around. The Navigator, though formal and awkward at times, implicitly trusts Bethlehem enough that of all the faction leaders who appeared in Episode 12 to discuss the fate of the Obelisk of Return, the Queen was the only one he shared his secret findings about what he saw in there and his doubts of Caelestite history.
- A Day in the Limelight: She is the focus character of the Sands of Time event, where the past of her rise to the throne is shown in.
- Death of Personality: As Novio reveals to the Navigator in Sands of Time, her "Shaya" persona was left behind as soon as the coronation rite is completed. The same had went for all generations of Northlords.
- Elemental Personalities: Wields ice powers, matching her icy calm as a ruler.
- The High Queen: The Queen of the North, having risen to gain the superpower needed to protect Northland.
- The Mentor: To Carleen, who had spent time in Northland under her tutelage, including swordfighting.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: "Bethlehem" is a title given to the current Northlord, her actual but now-former name being Shaya.
- Position of Literal Power: Ascension to the throne in Northland confers the ruler the power of the Aurora above the land, giving more than enough Lumina to light the Beacon, which emits a field called "Sanctuary" that destroys all Eclipsites in Northland territory. This, however, required Bethlehem to abandon her identity as Princess Shaya.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: She's always out there on the field to fight whenever she's needed, being one of the most powerful characters to date despite her faithful guards. Even as a child, she wished to protect Northland by becoming the queen at the cost of a normal life.
- Seers: She has the power to see into the future, which is part of why she trusts the Navigator, himself a symbol of hope that her visions are centered around. Part IV of her character file reveals she had seen a vision of disaster as a child, which motivated her to take the throne and prepare for the future with.
- Tragic Ice Character: The image of this cold-looking woman belies a misfortune that the Navigator is disturbed by. Sands of Time reveals that for a Northlord to ascend to the throne, they must leave behind everything about their past and become a Blank Slate to ensure they are not corrupted by the power they will come to wield. In Shaya's case, she resolved herself to leave behind her toys, a chance at a normal life, and her friendship with Novio, then upon her coronation and gaining her powers, walked to the Beacon to light it up while facing hordes of Eclipsites along the way—alone—despite being ten years old at the time.
- When She Smiles: The ending of Sands of Time has the Navigator address her as Shaya and give an hourglass, just like the one Shaya had as a child. Bethlehem's lips curve up just a bit as she expresses her appreciation, followed by an image of Shaya beaming.
- Winter Royal Lady: Rings plenty of bells, being a stoic queen dressed in white who rules over a land of ice and snow, on top of having ice-based powers.
Louise
Hailing from Northland, she always wears a smile on her face, one that is full of optimism and hope for the future. After traveling south, she spares no effort in maintaining her positive attitude towards life, enriching the lives of many by creating fairy tale after wonderful fairy tale for them.
Nikinis
An attractive and proud girl hailing from Lake Mirror in Northland. With only fragments of memory, her past is unknown to her, and she lives an otherworldly life like the white narcissus. The mirror she carries all around is almost a part of her, and it's rumored to be the source of her power.
Noah
A Northland lass with ice magic so powerful it can blanket a whole region in wintry frost. Just like the snow and ice she creates, she's pure and transparent, almost like an ethereal presence in this world.
- An Ice Person: Noah's powers revolve around manipulating and shaping ice.
Ophina
An innocent and cute Fae from Northland Pine who is clueless about the ways of the world. She often becomes nervous when she doesn't know what to do, observing situations with cautious curiosity while giggling adorably. She has a pair of precious Gemstone Horns and has been carefully protected since she was a child.

She is from Northland but has an aura of spring. Naive, kind, and unworldly, she is used to wandering alone in the cold as a patrol officer who guards an area of her homeland.

A Northlander with close ties with Bethlehem. Compassionate and well-versed in history. He believes that Northland is the last paradise for Aurorians, and wishes to protect it with his power.
- Blue Is Calm: He has blue hair and his design is accentuated with shades of blue. His personality is also that of serenity and gentleness.
- Born as an Adult: According to him, he has no memory of his childhood and as far as he remembers he has always been in his current young adult appearance.
- Combat Medic: He is known as the "Healing Flame". Unlike most healer Aurorians, he has a chain combo that can deal damage and heal at the same time.
- Declaration of Protection: Queen Amelie, or rather, an illusion of her appeared to Novio in his confused mind when he was struggling to cope with her death and requested him to "safeguard Northland, and protect the people". He took it as his responsibility, and so returned to the Winter Palace to serve the royal family."In order to safeguard Northland, I'm willing to pay any price. And I mean any price."
- Fiery Stoic: His blue palette and calm, gentle personality gives no hint about his Fire Element, though it may symbolize how he has been the warm guiding light for generations of Northlord in the frozen Northland for centuries.
- Friend to All Living Things: He’s surrounded by a bunch of rabbits in his Base art, and some of his voice lines are about the rabbits as well.
- Magic Staff: The Terra Staff he wields is said to be made from the sapphire of the first mountain spirit, which can enhance the inner strength of the wielder and unlock their hidden potential.
- The Mentor: He's this to Bethlehem and the previous Northlords.
- Really 700 Years Old: He has admitted to have been alive for centuries, with his appearance not even changing one bit.
