I was driving down the road that my high school was on, and there were bulls in the road. I chased one of them into an apartment, where the lady was initially mad at me about chasing an animal into her apartment, but I got talking to her and found that she had a huge collection of albums. Her apartment was also Bigger on the Inside and I kept wandering around it, fascinated by all the rooms it had.

In my most recent dream I'm a Senior Starship captain who ordered the arrest of my XO and five navigators on a very long list of felony charges.

We were warping into a charted star system and they fucked it up, badly. This is so routine and automated for us that screwing it up requires malice.

They placed us inside a planetary atmosphere. Murielle, my battleship's AI, was barely able to get the shields up in time and we took the battleship equivalent of a door ding that injured my entire crew. Four of the five escort warships with me managed to get out of the way and everyone on those ships was also injured.

The crew of the fifth one wasn't so lucky. It left a Texas-sized crater on the planet's surface when the reactor exploded.

We were about 35 light-hours from where we were supposed to be. I can understand a starship being that far off at the end of a 175 light-year jump into an uncharted star system outside our borders.

But six? No.

Six warships that far off in a charted star system with a navigational becon at the same time is not an accident.

  1. Jafar and Genie were duelling each other near a lake under the cover of night. At first it was a full moon, which somehow empowered Jafar. However, the phase of the moon was rapidly changing, soon turning into a new moon, which empowered Genie instead. There was a lake nearby, and Jafar deliberately blew up a boat of mouse people out of spite. Me and someone else were looking for a specific one (it seemed to be female by the voice) for reasons involving the move Beat Up.

  2. I and about 6-7 other people, two of which were until-recently classmates of mine, were on Pokémon GO... Except much of the land in-front of the gym closest to my house was replaced with a lake. A lake with a real crocodile. That I was swimming in at the time. I did manage to escape to land, where it just gave up. I was walking a 5km egg at the time and it hatched into a Spinarak-shaped Durant. Also, you could see what other people were walking and these walking mons could battle each other. I had a Solrock at the time which automatically fought and defeated one of the girl's Staryus.

I was watching Jeopardy! in the house I lived in from age 3 to age 18, and they had a clue about Undertale. I was incensed that nobody got it right.

Also, I was at the house two blocks down, where I lived after that. Some people were there, and they had it up on stilts and were cleaning things out of it. I was asking them why and they said it was because of the mortgage. I tried to go inside and get something, and I found a moldy bag of cereal and some tapes. Also, someone there was in a panda costume.

Last night's dreams:

I made a mask out of construction paper that looked like one of my original characters. When I put the mask on, it turned me into said character, (a red panda Funny Animal, in case you are wondering) from the inside out. Then I was tasked with baby-sitting some kid for some reason. We played some games in the backyard of my house for a while until his dad picked him up. He wound up taking that mask I had been wearing as he was leaving (returning me to normal in the process), but I think he was forced to give it back to me.

Then I had a strange dream involving Finding Dory. In it, Dory was her baby self (I think it was set during that time she was by herself in the ocean during the movie) and somehow wound up in Antarctica(?!). She inexplicably found another blue tang there (who seemed to be voiced by Gilbert Gottfried), who warned Dory about "the ice monsters" or something like that. Then a huge rookery of penguins showed up and began feeding on the fish. Dory somehow wound up in a pool of water on an iceberg and watched as a bunch of penguins fought over the Gottfried tang. I don't remember what happened after that.

I haven't been feeling good lately. I think it's just allergies, but it sure feels like I'm really sick. Anyway, me being sick worked its way into my dream last night.

In this dream, almost everyone was a Funny Animal or Petting Zoo Person. I can't remember what kind of animal I was, but it was something smol, probably a fox.

Anyway, I was in the world of some adventure game. I had to travel around, collect objects, talk to other anthro animals. etc. But like in real life, my character was under the weather. Fortunately. President Stalkeyes' character Bindy Wrong was there to help me. She mostly just carried me around, since I could barely walk, but she also did other tasks that I was physically incapable of doing. There were other chubby anthro animals helping us too.

At one point in the story, I had to go to a small bookstore, but the girl running it (who I think was the Token Human) only spoke German. Fortunately, one of the animals accompanying me was fluent in German, and he or she translated what the girl said for us.

Anyway, I can't remember what our main goal in the bookstore was, but a lot of items on the shelves had turned invisible for some reason, so I was using... something (it was either Mickey's paintbrush. the Dark-Light Device, or I was just magical tongue) to make them reappear.

At one point, for some reason, my vision suddenly got all cloudy, so Bindy set me down on a windowsill and said that looking outside for a few minutes would help clear up my vision. When I looked down at the view outside the bookstore, I saw nothing but water below, but apparently, this was normal.

No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.

One of the posters on another forum likes the dreams I share and this one was one I shared just for her ...

An astronomer found a 4.6 billion year old G2V yellow dwarf about 5,000 light years outside our borders which had eight planets and an asteroid belt.

What really caught the astronomer's attention was the third planet. It has an atmosphere with free oxygen. That can only mean one thing: carbon based life.

Our Empress wants a starship to go there and get a closer look.

The only starships we have that can do a 5,000 light-year jump are capital ships and, for one of those, it would be a one-way trip that damages the reactors and requires almost the entire fuel load. We're currently down three capital ships and can't spare one without leaving a giant hole in our defenses.

One of our frigates is being stripped of everything that can be removed and replaced with a fuel tank. The Admiralty is also setting up a tanker relay just so the frigate can make it there and back.

I'm with the Junior Commander in charge of that frigate. I'm explaining to him, and his officers, when and where in uncharted space they need to be to meet up with a tanker and refuel.

Those tankers will only be at the rendez-vous points for one hour and I made it very clear that if they don't get all 24 right I'll be the one writing condolance letters to their families.

Their first refueling rendez-vous is in uncharted space about 450 light-years away from the nearest starbase. Once they're past that there will be only 17 starships capable of responding to a distress call. At 2,500 light-years distant that number becomes zero and they are on their own.

The two most distant refueling stops are about 4,875 light-years past our borders and there is no margin for error. They and the tanker crews have to get it right the first time because they don't get a second attempt.

BTW: The target star system I'm describing in that dream is ours and no one noticed this.

You know, I'm genuinely impressed at how consistent your dreams are. You seem to almost always have dreams where you're having adventures on some sort of starship. I'm lucky if I even have the same characters or plots show up in my dreams two nights in a row.

I just woke up from a nap where I'm driving the Monaco racecourse in an F1 car that was made in 1994.

One minute fifteen seconds is the lap time.

When coming out of the tunnel I'm going about 185-190mph in darkness straight into blindingly bright light and must slam on the brakes at just the right moment and be going slow enough to correctly do the harbour chicane while blind.

There are another eight turns (3 left, 5 right) after that which may have to be done blind and from memory while your vision readjusts to daylight.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog was available in Pokémon GO. However, you could only power him up so much before the game asked for a code to allow you to power him further. Said code would evolve him into Super Sonic. To get the code, you had to access a website and "provide bile" (throw up) so that the providers could match patterns in the bile molecules.

  • There was another foggy one about a bizarre game of hide-and-seek. It seemed to have similar graphics to Roblox though.

I actually had a bizarre dream about Star Trek last night. I don't remember much about it other than it involved characters from both the original series and The New Generation all together as they fought off some strange alien menace that was brainwashing everyone on the ship and encasing them in yellow foam. I was Worf for much of said dream, until I-as-Worf fell victim to the foamy stuff and then I think I was just and observer.

After that, I dreamed that I was playing Pokémon Go in a large new-looking shopping center and caught a sentient pile of dirt with a goofy face that the game claimed was a Dugtrio.

I was in my car, waiting to turn left into a huge commercial facility, something like a giant fish and seafood market. There were multiple left turn lanes. The driveway was backed up into the intersection.

Then the light changed, and I found myself in the middle of the intersection, stuck behind a truck, blocking traffic. So I pulled into another lane to at least get out of the intersection.

Suddenly I realized my car was straddling the edge of a drawbridge, which began to open. I jumped out of the car and ran back. The drawbridge opened slightly then stopped, leaving my car stuck in the gap. Now the drawbridge is stuck, the traffic is jammed, and whatever was trying to go under the drawbridge obviously is stuck too.

In the meantime, I've run away from the area, freaked out by the idea that I could have died when the bridge opened. The incident is now breaking news, and as I watch, I'm a little freaked out and hope nobody figures out that I caused it. Then I realize that it will be easy to trace the car back to me, and I truly freak out.

This one was a bizarro episode of Doctor Who.

Some small, insectoid aliens were attacking the International Space Station. They hadn't broken in yet, but The Doctor decided to Set Right What Once Went Wrong by preparing the ISS team for the invasion. Batman Can Breathe in Space was applied, but only when people were inside the station. The Doctor spent a little too much time in space and briefly went mad. I think he deemed the attack on the ISS, a place of civilians and scientists, to be a Moral Event Horizon and he might have personally killed some of the invaders himself, albeit with regret afterwards. The invaders all died in the end.

I had an oddly semi-coherent dream last night. I was driving down a road on a sunny afternoon, but for some reason I had to pull over to the side and stop. I have no idea why, but I decided it was a good idea to leave my car and just wander across a field. I found myself just outside some kind of apartment building, which was several stories tall (which is weird because I live out in the suburbs, where buildings hardly ever exceed 1-2 stories in height).

This apartment was obviously in a poor and sketchy neighborhood; this shady guy walked up to me and asked what I was doing, and then he just threatened to kill me for no reason. As I could not defend myself in any way, I ran inside to some shop. Apparently I learn that I'm on the news now, as I'm the "sixth person this week to be declared missing", and that apparently I was around this same area when an old man was shot or something like that.

I just remembered the dream I had the night before last, so I'll write about both that one and my dream last night.

In the dream the night before last, I was in some weird college class that was all about crustaceans (crabs, lobsters, etc.) The lecture hall was weird too - it was a big, dark, empty room where we stood and looked up at a big screen at the top of the room where the professor would play her lectures. Although the setup was weird, the professor was really nice. I would definitely take that course if we had it.

My dream last night had two parts.

In the first part, we were at my house, when there was suddenly some sort of emergency, so me and my brother had to go to the house of an aunt we didn't know we had, despite her living fairly close by. And for some reason, we had to take a bunch of little kids (age 5 or 6 at most) with us.

We rode on our bikes through some neighborhood I had never been to before. It was a poor neighborhood, with a few. small houses and lots of construction. I don't know how we knew where to go, but eventually we made it to our aunt's house, which was a mansion. Apparently, she had gotten so rich by building factory machines on her property to make poker chips, roulette wheels, and other items for casinos.

I was suspicious of the whole thing, and I wasn't sure if we should really trust her, but then Count Olaf showed up and tried to convince the little kids to come with him. (I think he was in a clown suit, for extra Adult Fear. tongue) But our aunt somehow scared him off, and that's when I decided we could trust her.

The last part was weird, yet strangely cute.

I was in a CG-animated movie about ducks. It was weird. I was acting - I remember specifically doing the character's voice - yet I was also in the world of the movie, as the character I was playing. My character, an Ugly Duckling expy, was disabled mentally (he had an Ambiguous Disorder that was implied to be autism. I'm on the spectrum too, so it makes sense) and physically (he had to carry a pair of artificial wings in order to fly).

The first part I remember was seeking advice from a wise (despite being a Cloudcuckoolander) old duck. I couldn't find my parents, so he helped me find their house. For some reason, my parents in the dream were human, but they weren't my parents in real life. The dream movie version of my dad was proud of my dream movie duck character, but my mom clearly didn't want me.note

Anyway, we had to go on some sort of adventure, but we weren't going alone. For some reason, we were joined by Circus Baby, who went through Adaptational Heroism and became a Genki Girl (though she still practiced her "jumpscare face").

It was weird.

No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.

[up]What you described about a lecture class matched some of the college classes I took. They were the professor plus 3-5 students in a lecture hall meant for over 100. My favorite college class took place in a conference room after hours. It was a Shakespeare class where the professor asked us to pick 12 plays to study. We picked 17 and the list we came up with did not include either Romeo and Juliet or Julius Caesar.

The only thing I can remember from last night was that, at one point, I was playing a video game adaptation of Rugrats Go Wild! for the Nintendo 64 (even though that system's time had long since passed by the time said movie came out), but it was an In Name Only adaptation involving every Klasky-Csupo character (not just from Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys) exploring a strange temple that had popped up behind the Pickles' house. I started playing through a level (as Ickis) and realized that most of the levels were ripping off various Mario games.

Then my aunt and my cousin came in and I stopped playing. For some reason I felt that I would be very embarrassed if they saw what I was playing.

In my latest dream I'm remembering both times I picked up my college roomate Seira and her parents from the St. Louis airport and drove them to where she and I lived near the Missouri Botanical Gardens.

The first time I had a 1986 Honda Civic sedan. It had a 1.5L engine and, at most, about 76HP. The second time I had a 1999 Acura Integra GSR with a 170HP 1.8L VTEC inline four and an 8,100RPM redline. Both had 5-speed manual transmissions.

The car insurance for the GSR was more expensive than the rent for the apartment we shared because a 22 year old girl with a car like that is an expensive accident and insurance claim just waiting to happen.

I bought the car. Seira's father payed for the insurance and all the maintenence while we lived together because he didn't want his only daughter to be driven around the US in an old car that wouldn't be street legal in Japan.
