@toalordsoth: I'm amused that you have one that's the same as mine: Dulcinea. I've got a character named Dulcinea Lovelace. But in her defense, she finds the name ridiculous and only goes by "Lovelace." Even demands that her stepbrother call her that, though he prefers to irritate her by referring to her as "Sweetness."
The world of Wordkeepers is full of flagrancies in the Awesome Mc Coolname department:
- Alexander Sebastian Phoenix
- Odysseus Dove
- Cherry Thunder (Tends to be a bit giggle-inducing for those who first meet her)
- Radston Serpentine
- Saradeana Falconer
- Benedict Griffin
I think the most obviously Mc Coolname is Alexander Sebastian Phoenix, but I love "Cherry Thunder." Because... "Cherry Thunder!" I didn't even realize I'd named her that at first; I came up with the two names independently. Then I put them together, and it was love at first smoothie-sip.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaLet's see:
- Dr. George Furball III
- Dr. Phillip Pain
- Justin Case
- Jerry Filorst (last name came from a worksheet I got in high school.)
- The Pretty Awesome Ninja Terror Squad
Unit Names:
- Varangoi Huskarlai Argyraspidai

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.@Shadowtext I should probably mention my Dulcinea is a man.
CAUSE EVERY GIRL IS CRAZY 'BOUT A SHARP DRESSED MANSaphirra. Originally suggested by a friend for a bodyguard knight character, I initially used it as a placeholder and it stuck. I realized it seemed out of place compared to some of the other names, both mundane (Sasha) and foreigny (Yuichi). Ultimately, rather than make the name fit the setting, I made the setting fit the name. Sahpirra's homeland had a phase where children were named after precious gemstones.
Also Yuichi Jule. Name is played off a Japanese word, Jiyuuishi, meaning "Free will." The story he and Saphirra are in originally had a strong Screw Destiny plot. it's still there, but far less central now.

Anhelia Aescar is my main character, complete with that Added Alliterative Appeal.
A brighter future for a darker age.All I got for now, since the story is in the planning stages and I've no more characters with names quite that awesome.

Look upon my R.O.U.S., ye mighty, and despair!Viktor Killotsikov. He loves to break people.
Evil Dead. She summons zombies to do her bidding...even though she'd like nothing more than to play with her new puppy.
Leon Crawford. A mafia gunman who, despite his lazy and easygoing nature, carries no less than a hundred and eight different guns on person at all times. Also, he may or may not be a were-cat.

If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~The (if only slightly) secondary character Allison Phoenix is my main awesome name in the book (there's not really much of a contest, as the main characters' names really aren't supposed to evoke "coolness" until after you've read it), but I think that Maxwell Percival Cromwell fits as one too.
Also, runaway rich girl Cari M. Benz. (You figure out what the M means.)
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘I only have two so far: Adeline Lance and Jackhart Waver. I also plan to use Ethspeed as the name for an in-story space-faring vessel.
Well, excuse me, that was one of the cleverer thoughts I've had today. -_o
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable^Dude, I've got a Mercedes in my story, too! What's yours like? Mine is a glasses-sporting boxer who can punch the hell out of anyone...and then punch the heaven out of them, too. Also, she loves money.
My Wattpad — A haven for delightful degeneracy^^ Sorry, didn't mean to be mean. It's all totally in jest.
^ Mine's a Spoiled Sweet girl who at first doesn't seem like that much of a threat, and can be a bit of a jerk sometimes if only because of her obliviousness. Then episode 3 rolls around...
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘I don't normally come up with cool names for characters. The closest I come up with was 'Rhyssa' but I suppose that doesn't count.
Alice Snow, who got dragged into my present project from an abandoned one. Originally written as one of Santa's elves who, through an absurd series of events, became a Really 700 Years Old Psycho for Hire Heroic Sociopath. Pretty much everything about her has been since altered except her job, name, and child-like appearance. I just love how the name in particular rolls off the tongue, and while the Alice Allusion has long since been lost and remains only because Alice is an awesome name, "Snow" still describes her demeanor ever so wonderfully.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I love most of the names I come up with, but none of them are outlandish as I am careful to avoid that.
EDIT: Okay, there's a protagonist called Red (because the story is heavily inspired by Red Riding Hood), but that is her nickname and not actually her real name. Though she goes by it exclusively.
