A Game of Gods Season 3: Nemesis

Go To

"Tomorrow, NCS 3 launches it's new flagship reality show, Nemesis. The whole production has been shrouded in secrecy since day one, but early this morning the channel finally gave us the details. Here today to talk us through those details is our entertainment correspondent, Evelyn Williams.”

“Thanks, Marcus. Rumours about Nemesis have been around for months, but the two biggest ones were confirmed today. Both Donald Kimball and Craig Mc Dermot have been acquired by NCS 3 for the show. For those who don’t know, Donald Kimball was the safety consultant for Fighting With The Stars, and developed the BOC resurrection system that allowed for the weekly deathmatches, while Craig Mc Dermot was the multiversal travel consultant on Jean and Christie Do The Multiverse.

“Oh, I love that show! When are they starting Season Five?”

“As soon as they break Jean and Christie out of that prison.”

“So, what did they get Kimball and Mc Dermot for?”

“Well, Nemesis seems like the usual premise: two teams of people who don’t like each other living in the same house and competing in challenges against each other. What Nemesis is doing differently is that these two groups are some of the multiverse’s biggest heroes and villains, and they’re allowing the groups to murder each other whenever they want.”

“So that’s what the BOC is for, then?”

“Yup. And the challenges are going to be set in different universes, to give even more variety.”

“So, do we know who’s going in?”

“They haven’t revealed that just yet, Marcus. They have revealed the host, though. Some unknown named Liberty Mc Trustworthy.”

“Liberty Mc Trustworthy? That has to be a stage name.”

“I dunno, Marcus. You gotta remember that Timothy Bryce was actually named Harmony Worldpeace before the lawsuit.”

“People call their children anything nowadays. Thanks for coming on Evelyn, next up on Wake Up Call we have Hugh Anthony with the news.”

Hello, and welcome to A Game of Gods: Nemesis, a third-generation AGOG crossover game. The premise of this one is similar to the last season’s Taskforce Sifuri, in that we’ll be pitting two teams against each other during the challenges. However, the one downfall of Taskforce Sifuri was that the difference between the two teams wasn’t stark enough. They eventually learned to get along.

This go around, that won’t happen. Nemesis is pitting Heroes, people of moral character and decisive action, against Villains, those who would harm the innocent in pursuit of their goals. We’re dividing this along moral lines, not Protagonist/Antagonist lines: if your “good guy” is a puppy-kicking, village burning asshole, they’re going on the Villain team.

What makes Nemesis unique in AGOG’s history is the setting: several of the games so far have been the product of bored Nomads looking for entertainment, but this time around it’s an advanced human society that’s holding our heroes and villains captive. And with humans comes a love for that most basic of entertainment: Reality TV.

With the “help” of an energetic host, the Heroes and Villains will face off in a variety of challenges, battling for each challenge’s reward, and gaining wins that will be tallied in the end to find the ultimate winner between good and evil. This ultimate reward? The technology that makes the show run: multiversal travel, revival of the dead, instantaneous teleportation, weapons capable of killing anyone in the cast, and much much more. Everything an aspiring villain needs to fulfill their heart’s desires. And everything a hero wants to keep out of their hands.

Of course, some of the cast may just want to enact revenge on the people who would pluck them from their lives and mess with them for petty amusement. Although the producers have made every measure to keep themselves safe, technology isn’t infallible…

In between these challenges, though, there is one ongoing challenge: trying to live in the same house as people who hate you on principle. And there’s nothing to stop them from trying to kill you over and over and over again, even if they succeed.

You have to remember though: the opposite team might not be the only ones who don’t like you.

Despite this being a sequel to two previous sets of games, you don’t have to be an AGOG Veteran to join in on the fun, and inexperienced players are completely welcome. The plot connection between this game and previous games is extremely loose.

So let’s get this show on the road, shall we?

Rules:

Signup Rules:

Two characters per player, one for each team. Any more than that will be taken on case-by-case basis, but if we believe that you’re able to handle it, we’ll allow it. Try and stick with two to start with, though.

Duos are allowed, but we’ll taking it on a case-by-case basis. In the past, “duo” has meant characters such as Jak and Daxter, where only one is combat-effective and the other just serves as someone to bounce off of, personality-wise. If you feel like your character’s personality works best when they have their constant partner around, but both are combat-capable (for example, Grif and Simmons from Red Vs Blue work best as a double act), send the pair at us and we’ll discuss it.

We’d also like to keep powerlevels at a reasonable standard, but anything can be nerfed. Even if you think your character is too powerful, send them our way and we’ll discuss it. Rule of thumb, though: if your character can cause or fix natural disasters single-handedly in a short length of time, expect some nerfs.

Gameplay Rules:

No real specific rules, but keep to general R Ping etiquette. No ghosting (simply ignoring any attacks sent your character’s way); no autohitting (whether your character’s attack lands is up to the other player, not you); no taking control of other people’s characters, etc. Of course, this being etiquette and not laws, you can make breaches if they’re discussed with the other player beforehand.

The only real rule is that GM rulings are final, and must be obeyed, though if you have objections these rulings can be politely discussed.

And of course, obey all Forum Rules, especially those specific to the RP Forums.

Once you’re done here, head on over to the Discussion Thread (Don’t try and read it all, we prefer our players alive) and the actual game thread.

Your G Ms (Makaioh, Meanken, wikkit and Katarsus) hope you enjoy your time playing in A Game of Gods: Nemesis.

Here's another dude for team villain.

Name: Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke
Age: Roughly 44ish
Appearance: Normally wears armor that looks like this. He personally looks like this. His right eye is gone.
Universe: Arrow
Personality: Unlike the DC comics character counterpart he was based on, Slade was less cold and distant, but retained the makings of an anti-hero. He was a man of honor and good morals, who puts up a tough act but underneath was a caring individual. Until he took a secret Japanese serum that exaggerated his impulsive, reckless, aggressive, and violent tendencies. While still capable of being calculating and patient when need be, he is far more prone to such "negative traits" than he would otherwise be. He displays little emotion when killing innocent people and has developed a complete disregard for human life. He has little tolerance for disobedience, failure and disloyalty.
Backstory: Among the intelligence agencies of the world, few can match the caliber of officer found in the Australian Secret Intelligence Service. And among ASIS, Slade Wilson was one of its greatest agents. However, when his plane crashed on-assignment in 2006 on the island of Lian Yu, he spent the next year imprisoned by a man named Edward Fyers. After escaping, he met a young man on the island by the name of Oliver Queen, whom he took on as a sort of apprentice.
Eventually, when he was nearly-dead due to an explosion that left him mangled beyond what modern medicine could fix, he was injected with something known as the Mirakuru serum. A Japanese super-soldier serum created during World War II that causes enhanced physical abilities once injected, use of the serum ran the risk of not only death, but also driving the subject insane with aggression and hostility, as it could warp the person's mind and personality. The only side-effect Slade didn't experience was death. That did not prevent many other people on the island from dying, however.
As the days on the island continued, Slade blamed Oliver for the death of Shado, a woman he had fallen in love with, and fought him aboard a sinking ship. A torpedo from a submarine caused the ship to collapse on them, trapping Slade under several steel girders as he was stabbed in the eye, then thrown into the waves and rocks and left for dead as the others escaped on a submarine. However, Slade survived, and after returning to the island, he eventually swam away.
Seemingly returning to normal life, Slade rejoined ASIS until they discovered he had been secretly using their resources to track down Oliver Queen. ASIS sent several agents after him, and Slade killed them all to a man, but his ex-wife and son were killed as a result, with Slade accidentally shooting his son. He would eventually become a mercenary that the shadowy organization A.R.G.U.S. would codename "Deathstroke", but the world at large remained unaware of his true identity.
Powers and Abilities:
  • Mirakuru Serum: Slade received the Mirakuru serum, which altered his physiology. His whole body was boosted to limits that far exceed those of a normal human, including increased stamina, strength, durability, agility, senses, reflexes, and an accelerated healing factor. It cannot replace limbs or organs that are completely destroyed, as his eye never grew back when it was gouged out by an arrow.
    • Accelerated healing factor: The Mirakuru serum injection has greatly enhanced Slade's ability to heal, allowing him to rapidly recover from even the most crippling, debilitating and grievous of injuries, so long as they would not immediately be fatal.
    • Enhanced agility: Thanks to the Mirakuru serum, Slade is more agile than any normal human could be.
    • Enhanced durability: The Mirakuru serum increased the resistance of the muscle and bone structure of Slade, causing them to become more durable than a normal human's. He can take a punch from someone with equal strength to himself and barely be fazed.
    • Enhanced senses: All of Slade's senses are now superhuman. His smelling is even strong enough to smell the TNT of a landmine strapped to Hendrick Von Arnim.
    • Enhanced speed: Slade can run at speeds out-performing any Olympic athlete. He is so fast he can disappear in a second when someone looks away or is not looking at him.
    • Enhanced stamina: Slade's body produces less toxins when used, allowing him to exert himself at peak capacity greater than any human could. His stamina is so seemingly inexhaustible that Slade was able to swim non-stop across an entire ocean to escape from Lian Yu without drowning.
    • Enhanced strength: He is capable of effortlessly launching an adult several meters away with a single hand, breaking an assault rifle in half with his bare hands, and piercing a man's chest with only his fist by punching him.
  • Eidetic memory
  • Extremely high pain tolerance
  • Tactician: Slade is very intelligent and a flawless tactician, he is able to create plans for combat, infiltration and destruction. He is extremely efficient, even at great disadvantage, or with few resources.
  • Master Combatant: Slade is an expert fighter with few back home who could even challenge him. His fighting style mostly incorporates Escrima with Muay Thai while supplemented with Karate, Silat and Boxing
  • Weapons Expert: Slade is an expert at using all sorts of weapons, including not just modern military weapons but outdated ones as well, given his propensity for using his sword, knives, and even sticks.
  • Stealth: Slade is capable of moving silently and stealthily, even in his armor.
Equipment:
  • Deathstroke Armor: A suit of full-body reinforced armor. It is extremely durable and can easily stop bullets that aren't armor-piercing or anti-materiel. It also has pouches. By God, does it have pouches. It has pouches and a bandoleer filled with FMJ/HP rounds for all of his guns, holsters for his guns, pouches for his knives, a sheathe for his sword etc. There is some sort of radio communicator in it, and the right eye is completely covered. Due to personal issues, he made sure the armor is especially capable of withstanding being shot at by a variety of trick arrow types
  • TiSAS Zigana Sport - a 9mm pistol
  • H&K MP5A3 - A 9mm SMG
  • Desert Eagle - A .50 AE hand cannon
  • Throwing daggers
  • A big Bowie knife in a sheathe on his left leg.
  • Another knife hidden in his boot
  • Three smoke grenades
  • Sword - A sword resembling a katana and made out of modern materials. It is reinforced so that Slade won't break it when he hits something with it using his enhanced strength.
Why are they on Team Villain?: Ho boy. Nice guys normally don't take up names like "Deathstroke".

I'm not 100% sure if I will be able to keep up with this RP but, what the hell, I can try.

  • Name: Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy, goes by Gwen. She is known as "Spider-Woman" while in costume.
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: While in costume. As a civilian.
  • Universe: Spider-Gwen (After Vol. 2), Earth-65 of the Marvel multiverse.
  • Personality: Gwen would be best described as a free spirit. Only if said free spirit was haunted by the errors she commited and made quips every five seconds to hide the fear of lossing her loved ones and her own mortality. She loves music and wants to be a musician (much to her dad's chagrin) and it's the only reason she puts up with her friend Mary Jane when she's being particularly self-absorbed. She also like RPGs (at least when she was a kid), kung fu movies, and fucking loves corndogs.
  • Backstory:
    • General backstory: Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider and developed superpowers. She mostly used them for her own gain though she helped people from time to time (in one of these adventures she received her web shooters as a gift from her world's version of The Wasp). As Spider-Woman, she accidentally inspired her friend Peter to stand up to those that bullied him, but he did so by creating a serum that turned him into a giant lizard. He died while fighting Gwen (it's unknown if it was the chemicals that transformed him, Gwen miscalculating her strength or a little bit of both) and the whole city blamed Spider-Woman for the murder of Peter Parker since he turned back to normal before dying. This event finally made her realize that with a great power com--oh you know the drill.
    • Spider-Verse: Gwen was contacted by a group of other people with spider powers from all over the multiverse, leaded by Spider-UK. The gist of it is that they were all being targeted by the Inheritors—extradimensional vampires that feed off of animal totems—that wanted to exterminate all the spider-themed characters in every universe. During her adventure she teamed up with Jessica Drew, Silk, Pavitr Prabhakar, Spider-Ham, Anya Corazón, Spider-Girl, and about a gazillion Peter Parkers. As a result of this, Gwen has been an active part of the Web Warriors, helping the universes that have lost their spider-themed heroes.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Super-strength which, according to official sources, means Gwen can bench press up to 10 tons but she has never lifted anything that heavy in-canon. Regardless, she's at least strong enough to kick down a medium sized tree, punch a hulking guy through a brick wall, and rip open metal doors. She also has superhuman endurance, being able to take hits that would seriously injure normal humans.
    • Gwen has superhuman reflexes. Coupled with her agility and flexibility, it makes her a extremely fast combatant.
    • She can easily climb any surface thanks to her spider abilities and this same power lets her hold things as if they were glued to her hands.
    • Gwen is unwilling to kill and is reluctant to work with people that do. She's also a rookie and has no formal training so she mostly relies on her instinct and her powers.
  • Equipment:
    • A pair of web-shooters that she can use to create extremely resilient webstrings, as well as a semiliquid substance and nets. Gwen has a practically unlimited supply of web-line since they work by filtering the moisture in the air.
    • Her cellphone. Just your run-of-the-mill mid 2010s smartphone.
  • Why is she on Team Hero?: Well, ignoring the fact that she is a wanted criminal for the murder of her friend, Gwen is a heroic character that won't hesitate to help those in need.

Ok so most of this is good but.....how attached are you to the spider sense? Because my gut reaction is to remove it, it's far too abuseable as a ghosting enabler. Even if I was to reduce it to a basic "You're under attack!" alert, the fact that this is predominantly a PVP game will render that highly broken because she'll become more or less impossible to ambush

  • Name: Vile
  • Age: Unknown
  • Appearance: I may be the wild card you hadn't counted on!
  • Universe: Megaman X (specifically Maverick Hunter X)
  • Personality: Vile is an arrogant, rude, violent reploid who's also very unstable. He's a lonewolf who dislikes even the thought of having friends or, worse yet, superiors. As such, he'll actively disobey orders from whoever he might be working for if it suits his needs. Vile also has a love of hunting down his targets (previously the Mavericks) and destroying them along with causing as much damage as he can, which might also include any allies and bystanders that are around. He often lets his emotions get the best of him and often doesn't really think things through before acting.
  • Backstory: Vile was once a Maverick Hunter, but one day he suffered an irreperable short circuit in his electronic brain, causing to become very unruly. His destructive behavior led to him being arrested by his fellow hunters and he was only freed when the once leader of the hunters, Sigma, started a rebellion and freed him, offering an opportunity to serve the rebellion. However, Vile refused on the grounds that Sigma had his aim on X, a lower ranking hunter that somehow managed to get all the attention from everyone else due to his potential. Instead, Vile decided to hunt down all of Sigma's commanders to prove that he was stronger and better than X and he had just finished them off when he ended up being brought into a multiversal reality show.
  • Powers/Abilities: Vile, being a reploid, is more durable than the average person and is also more agile. He's also capable of climbing walls and even jumping from one wall to another if he so desires.
  • Equipment: Vile has three different types of weapon for his arms, cannon and his legs, he can switch between them freely, but he can only have one equipped in each part at once. Some weapons also use more of his energy than others, but Vile automatically recharges energy at a slow rate.
    • Arms
      • Cherry Blast: A simple machine gun, the energy it uses is just barely more than Vile can recover automatically, making it very efficient.
      • Serotinal Bullet: A missile that's powerful, but it starts moving slowly before picking up speed and going straight ahead, making it useful for traps.
      • Golden Right: A rocket punch that has very short range and is very costly in terms of energy, but is also the most powerful weapon in Vile's arsenal.
    • Cannon
      • Front Runner: A strong shot that uses about the same amount of energy as the Cherry Blast, however it can't fire rapidly.
      • Nervous Ghost: A green laser fired in a straight line that can pierces through enemy shields.
      • Metal Crescent: Vile shoots three energy blades from his canon one by one, they're powerful and don't cost much energy, however he can't move while firing them.
    • Leg:
      • Splash Hit: Shoots a bomb that bounces on the ground for a bit before detonating and causing a strong whirldwind that has very good vertical reach but low horizontal range. Vile needs to crouch down to use this.
      • Sword Bouquet: Shoots a fireball from his leg that explodes into a wave of flame when it hits something. Vile needs to crouch down to use this.
      • Burning Drive: Vile engulfs himself in flames, damaging anyone close to him. It has little range and uses a lot of energy, so it's mostly used in case of someone or something trying to physically restrain him.
  • Why are they in Team Villain: Vile cares for nobody other than himself and has a love for destruction, making him a good fit for the villain team.

So, I got two questions:

  • Does one need to be familiar with the previous AGOG installments in order to play effectively? I started reading the RP thread and there are a couple of PC's who keep making rather obscure references to the previous seasons.

  • What are the rules on things like ammo and other consumables? Do players need to keep track of how much they exactly have on their person, and can they replenish it somehow?

Meanken Since: May, 2013
#364: Mar 3rd 2017 at 5:47:31 AM

To question 1, no you do not. There's only a couple of those vets floating around from previous seasons, and metaplot related to those games will not be coming up again beyond any references they happen to make.

For question 2, I'm generally leaneant so long as you don't go nuts with ammo, consumables are usually limited since it's a lot easier to keep track of, say, how many potions one has then how much ammo you have. Both can be replenished in the house between challenges.

I want to put this character on hold for future use. This character is in no way gonna replace Ryuko, but if I ever do get bored of her or if I'm approved for a third character, here's one I've always wanted to play. It's pretty damn weird too.

  • Name: Nigel Uno (codename Numbuh 1)
  • Age: 10
  • Appearance: Kids Next Door, battle stations!
  • Universe: Codename: Kids Next Door
  • Personality: Numbuh 1 is a natural born leader. His work ethic is unrivaled in the KND and he guides his troops with ease and tact. He is deeply loyal to his team and those he cares about, and sees a mission through to its end, be it success or failure. Being a KND agent, he carries the characteristic distrust, hatred and paranoia for people over the age of 13, especially adults, and is generally a defiant, but headstrong kid.
  • Backstory: Numbuh 1 is the leader of Sector V of the Kids Next Door, leading a five man team consisting of himself and Numbuhs 2, 3, 4, and 5. He and his team travel around the world, fighting adult tyranny and helping children around the world from various dangers. He guides his team and other KND operatives through missions involving something as simple as retrieving a birthday cake, to protecting kids from literal supervillains. His Sector is among the most eventful of the KND sectors, and his leadership gets them through the highest moments and the lowest lows.
  • Abilities/Equipment: Despite his age, Numbuh 1 is adept to CQC, and can hold his own in combat, even against adults multiple times his age. He's a pragmatic fighter, and uses his quick wit and ingenuity for combat. His shoes and backpack are equipped with jet engines to fly and he utilizes specialized gadgets made possible by 2x4 technology. I'd give a full list later.
  • Why are they on Team Hero?: A kid who makes his living saving fellow kids from abusive teens and adults has to be a Hero, yes?

Probably won't be bringing this character in until the current challenge is over, but I've decided on my villain character.

  • Name: Apollyon (Note: this isn't her real name, but she no longer speaks her real name and few people know it.)
  • Age: Unknown
  • Appearance: [1]
  • Universe: For Honor
  • Personality: An absolute Blood Knight with an extreme War Is Glorious mentality, despising even the concept of peace. In her eyes, the people of the world qualify as either as "sheep" or "wolves", and that the wolves, that is to say the strong predators, should lord over and slaughter the sheep, the weak prey. Naturally, she views war, a battlefield where the strong survive and the weak perish, as basically paradise.
  • Backstory: When she was young, her village was destroyed by Vikings after a Lawbringer refused to spread already-thin forces to defend a village he viewed as unworthy of defense. This would be the day that Apollyon developed her predator and prey mentality. Years later, she found and murdered the Lawbringer who doomed her people and took his armor for herself, wearing to this day as a symbol against those who try to use the law against the strong. She went on the become Warlord of the Blackstone Legion, and from there, plunge an on-the-verge-of-peace world back into a three-way war.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Among the characters we have so far, she qualifies as a relative Badass Normal, but damned if she isn't as powerful as a relatively normal human can get. She is an extremely skilled swordswoman, wielding a large serrated greatsword, and is also very competent in fighting with her fists when she needs to. In addition, she is Made of Iron and, while not invincible, can and will take a LOT of punishment before she goes down. However, she does also have a handful of supernatural feets. A few of her attacks, represented by a fiery aura, are very difficult to block. (But are relatively slow, allowing a sufficiently prepared opponent to avoid them.) In addition, in a tight situation, she can unleash "revenge" mode, where she temporarily becomes even more powerful.
  • Why are they on Team Villain?: Loves war, hates peace, thinks Might Makes Right... Yeah, she's one of the most despicable people you'll ever meet.

What is this "signature" of which people speak?

Right, sorry for taking so long here Stack. Anyway, I gotta say, this is possibly the youngest signup I've seen....potentially too young. I'm really not too keen on the idea of allowing a ten year old to possibly get repeatedly slaughtered by a bunch of angry villains. I'm feeling that I'm gonna have to decline the signup.

As for Cyber, I expect any hits that should be crippling/lethal to still have that effect, particularly as you've described this one as a baddass normal. Which, gotta say, looking at the powers, they are not. Also I do not at all accept "This move cannot be blocked", no matter how long it takes to wind up. A powerful enough character will be able to block said moves, and it will just be deemed to be stronger then normal.

[up] (Shrugs) fair enough. Even in For Honor, unblockable attacks CAN be deflected with a parry. I didn't mention that because I wasn't sure how that would translate into this. That, and part of me felt that she had to be a LITTLE stronger than she was in-game to last in this place full of not-normals. But I'll change it if you think that's not okay.

EDIT: A thought that just occurred to me: would including some of For Honor's Feats (abilities that have various effects, like buffs, special attacks, and such) be acceptable? If not, that's okay.

[up][up] Yeah... I could see how him being there would be pretty uncomfortable. Luckily, I had a backup signup just in case.

  • Name: Scott Pilgrim
  • Age: 24
  • Universe: Scott Pilgrim
  • Appearance:Rating: Awesome
  • Personality: He's a really immature guy. A pretty naive guy who doesn't really take responsibility for his own actions and typically blames it on other people. The naievity he has can really annoy other people, and can result in him and his friends starting fights and/or problems with other people. He is also irresponsible and typically takes things at both face value and in completely different meanings. The things he has gone through with his own personal relationships and his relationship with Ramona has made him better at these things, but he still goes through these things at times. Ultimately though, Scott can be a really sweet and nice guy and fights for his friends (and even his enemies at times too. Still mostly an idiot though.
  • Abilities/Equipment: He's not called "The Best Fighter in the Province" for nothing; and while he doesn't have any powers to speak of, his hand-to-hand combat is without parallel. He is even capable of imitating moves form various games, such as the Shoryuken and the Air Juggle. He can also sometimes use the soundwaves from his bass guitar as a weapon and is a skilled swordsman. He equipped with
    • Power of Understanding (Guts +1 Heart +3 Balls +2): A large single-edged sword he obtained during his final battle with Gideon.
    • "Scott's" Bass: A Rickenbacker 4003s Bass Guitar he uses when he plays with his band (that technically belongs to his brother, Lawrence).
  • Backstory: Scott was your average 24 year old guy living with a gay roommate in Toronto. He was dating a 17 year old girl, he was the bassist in a band called Sex-Bob-Omb, and all and all lived an average life. Up until he met a mysterious delivery girl in a house party named Ramona. The pair fell in love almost instantly, but for Scott, in order to date Ramona, he would have to defeat the League of Evil Exes: 7 of Ramona's Exes from her past that joined together to try and get her back. Although the journey for Ramona's heart led him through breakups, encountering his own "evil" exes, and even death by Gideon, Scott ultimately overcame his shortcomings, grew a set and defeated them all to win Ramona back and move on to better things in life... or so he though before being dragged here.
  • Why is he on Team Hero?: He was willing to fight 7 exes for his girlfriend's heart. He's an idiot, but a goodhearted idiot.

Heya, just posting to say that I forgot something in my sign-up post for Jak. Namely, this radio device. He's always got it on him in game, so I was wondering if I could have the go ahead to have Jak have it in RP.

Would a Badass Normal villain fit in here? Everyone seems to have powers of some sort.

It honestly depends on the villain in question, we nerf enough that anyone with a decent enough gun could kill a majority of the people in the game, but if you deliberately antagonize your fellow teammates as other have before without the powers to back it up, you're probably going to get eaten alive. I'd be able to tell you much better if you give me an idea who you're thinking of using here.

Colonel Sebastian Moran, since I've been rereading Kim Newman's Moriarty books. I can certainly choose someone else if you think they'd need more oomph

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea who this person is.
