A Game of Gods- Discussion Thread

Mecha Sonic is going to be a blank slate at first, then when the heroes defeat him for the first time, he's going to go all psycho-nuts.

Okay... but keep in mind that more often than not the characters will have to work together or fight a common foe. (For example, the first challenge is based on the beginning of Star Wars A New Hope... that's all I'll spoil for now.)

How many challenges will there be, or is that kept secret?

As many as people want... this came could hypothetically go on indefinitely.

I'm not so sure if having an infinite amount of challenges is a good idea. Games that go on indefinitely tend to burn out players sooner or later. :P Then again, new players could take their place...

I exaggerated a bit there, I think...

Tentatively, the game will end with a Gladiator Revolt, but not for a while. More rationally, there'll be about 10-15 Challenges.

Alrighty.

Here's a basic challenge idea.

Name: Zombie Apocalypse

Overview: Competitors have to work together in teams of four to survive a city full of zombies.

Goal: Get out of the city alive.

Great idea. Okay, I'm going to start the game in 5...4...3...2...

Mentlegen.

In any case, Craft will probably be all too willing to kill Mecha-Sonic. Probably every reploid has heard of Omega, so he won't warm up to the idea of a psychopathic robot.

Game is now up.

Sweet! Let's get this shit underway.

The first 'Challenge', inspired by Pies.

Challenge 0: Introductions

The champions meet in a soothing setting. New friendships and alliances are formed, but will the peace last?

• The action takes place in what will be known as the "Common Room", a large and spacious room that, for the purposes of this particular Challenge, has taken on the form of a peaceful open-air restaraunt and plaza somewhere in Tokyo.
• This provides an area that the Champions can meet and talk in between Challenges. Note that the room can take on the form of any setting, depending on who wills it, but for today it is currently 'locked' in this configuration.
• NPCs: NPC (Non-Playable Characters), for new roleplayers, are characters that can be controlled by anyone, within reasonable limits. NPCs for this Challenge include the waiters and civilians.
• Any new characters can come in through the door provided.
• Today's Challenge is less intense than later ones, and provides a way for characters to interact and learn about one another.

Somehow I can see Jorge and Craft getting along fine.

Also, "Kraft" (an alternate spelling of Craft's name) means "power" or "strength" in German.

I'm not sure I understand that. I know there's "Kraft Foods", a company, and then there is the American Kraft cheese.

Kraft Dinner is a macaroni and cheese brand marketed up here in Canada. It's very popular here.
