TLP Crash Rescue - Fixing prematurely launched TLPs and pages

Drakengrad's creator probably needs a message explaining the difference between a Video Game franchise, and our Multimedia Franchise. The mistake is an entirely reasonable assumption, given the current misuse of the Franchise namespace, but I do plan on making a long-term thread on the subject. I've just been working on the wording so that it doesn't look like I'm whining about it. ;)

I did already tell them. I guess that that page should be cut.

• Insurrection: I still need commentary on the namespace. I am inclined to move it elsewhere under the current namespace rules.
• Inuyasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass: Another page made by Nintendoman01 without indexing and only a little crosswicking. I did talk to them already on another page and they said they had just forgotten, but now...
• Keith Whitley: Only two examples; creator messaged.
• We Travel Light: An exampleless trope made without YKTTW. On top of that the title is a line of dialogue; I am inclined to cutlist it immediately.

Yeah, Travel getting sent on a trip to the digital trash can by the cutlist wouldn't be losing anything, IMO.

Nuke Travel, ask the mods what to do about Nintendoman since it appears he's not listening, not fixing old problems, and making new ones, and move Insurrection.

I'm not getting any results on "Nintendoman". Is that the right spelling of the name of the problem child??

Sorry, I tend to shorten names when simply discussing. Septimus has it as "Nintendoman01" in his post under Inuyasha The Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass.

Ok, so it looks like Nintendoman01 is making what are essentially stub pages and leaving them for someone else to repair. Anything else? If I wiki-block him, I'd like to make the block reason as descriptive as possible.

The primary problem I have with him is the lack of Crosswicking. Despite several reminders.

A couple of funky or odd edits in the history, like on Characters.Elfen Lied (random asterisk in the middle of an entry). Kimono Is Traditional is borderline ZCE for all its words. It's the type of entry that always gives me the thought 'the character does/has the trope. And?' Although with some tropes it is hard to say more.

He seems to reallllllllllllllllllllllly like Inuyasha and that particular movie, but I can't see anything at this time that indicates Single-Issue Wonk problems.

The main problem seems to be not completing old pages before starting new ones, or using the Sandbox for incomplete work pages.

Septimus might have more to say, since he's been dealing more closely with the problem.

• Insurrection: Namespace question still up.
• Stairway To Equestria: A little short on examples; messaged the editor again.
• Thunderscape: No crosswicking; also it seems like another bad use of Franchise/: There is only one page I can find here.

• Noble Hearts Pretty Cure: Unpublished work or no, I don't think we should have work pages that are entirely ZCE.
• One Week Friends: Stubby article with some ZCE; creator messaged.

Today's worklist:

• Bill Anderson: Mostly Zero Context Examples.
• The Cheap Detective: Blank page; messaged the creator.
• Drakengard: While I have to agree that this page has to go, there are some on-wiki references. What do we do with these?
• Media Flanderization: Needs more commentary.
• Pak Attack: Hasn't improved at all since it was first mentioned here.

Regarding Drakengard, what comes to mind offhand is taking the first game info and putting it on a Drakengard1 page, and use the non-number one as a disambig pointing to the games in the series with their own pages.

Of course, that means there's the hassle of namespacing all the first game wicks pointing to the current non-number page...

Anyhow, worklist:

• Battle Spirits: Work page with only a few trope examples; creator messaged.
• Inuyasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass: I assume (given the interruption in his edit history) that Nintendoman 01 was suspended; if so, I'll do the indexing and crosswicking myself.
• Marriland: Stub work page; creator messaged.
• Michaels Dead Book Of Solomon Jizz: Stub; creator messaged.
• Pokémon Reborn: Stub; creator messaged.
• Rafael Nadal: Wrong namespace; plus it lacks the at least 3 mentions of works of fiction that we require for Useful Notes pages.

• Jerusalem and Beirut are not very good, which means they are average Useful Notes pages. I think they are acceptable starts.
• All the works you mentioned above seem to have gathered examples, except Marriland, which I vote to cut. Battle Spirits has tropes, only the creator must have copied the rulebook into the description. I suggest to ask the page creator to boil it down to a reasonable length. Re Ve N is a page about an not-yet-released game; I don't like these, but to my knowledge they are not actually forbidden.
• What actually brought me to this thread: Rafael Nadal, as well as Roger Federer, are fan pages about sports stars, created with the sole intent to "trope" them. In other words, a complete misunderstanding of our wiki. Cutlist and pm.

On Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, I fully agree with cutting altogether and messaging. I also propose to namespace the other two Useful Nots pages. But honestly, I don't feel up for that now.

I still need more commentary on Drakengard and Media Flanderization. And Pak Attack still needs to be cleaned.

Also, now that I look at it, Re Ve N is very badly spelled and an "upcoming" work. I would put it in the Sandbox/ namespace for now.

Forgot Your Pass brought up on ATT. A stub article with one example and no YKTTW, noted in ATT to be from a new troper who may not understand the rules. Recommend messaging the troper and kicking it to YKTTW. Thoughts?

• FanFicRecs.Cars: A somewhat questionable fanfic recs page - seems very general.
• Caterpillars: Already cutlisted it; I do not know what it's supposed to be.
• Forgot Your Pass: Stub under line-of-dialogue title; handling on Ask The Tropes and discussion.
• Game Fan: Older stub in wrong namespace.
• KZ: Stub; creator messaged.
• The Resolute Sword: Stub; creator messaged.
• UnityUnited.Unity United: This is a website community?
• Who's Afraid of Boomer?: Stub article, and I already messaged them over the exact same issues with Verdi.

Unity United: My Google Fu has failed me. That page is the only thing I can seem to turn up.

I did find a reference to the Pokemon forum it was said to have branched off of.

That page needs a bit of cleaning at the least, and a namespace switch to an typical one. One specific change needed is to the heading "Former members(Or at least the ones that people gave a shit about)". It strikes me as being very close to dickish.

I take blame for the Golden Razzie thing. You see, this YKTTW popped up and since it wasn't... much of anything, I suggested that such a venture could possibly go in the Analysis/ namespace since he's analyzing what makes a Razzie contender.

I obviously didn't want him to just... make the damn page, though.

Cut Unity United, if only for being in the wrong namespace. Additionally, it seems every example is just... tropes applying to its members, which is troping real life people and not fiction.
