Omnicomms is a commentary group mainly settled on Twitch formed on the basis of having everyone in their ranks as equals. The group had originally formed as a result of Hellfire Commentaries and Digital Paradox splitting off of each other, to calm everyone down before the decisions were set in how it'd run. Member Dexmonicus was the one who made up the name Omnicomms for the sake of unity. As of now the group is an amateur group that puts out what they can when they can but aims to get professional. As such, the group goes out of its way to avoid the subjects of the tropes Broken Base, Base-Breaking Character, Ensemble Dark Horse and The Scrappy unless the group is in majority agreement of a subject. Once a week on Saturday they hold Multiplayer Night, which they use to get the Chat involved in multiplayer games between the Twitch Chat and the Twitch Mods. So far their Twitch Streamers and commentators can be seen as such:

  • Mastersword126 (Former Leader)
  • Silverdude5000 (Both)
  • Latios2 (Co-Comm)
  • Matsuri (Both)
  • Autumn (Both)
  • Ezioauditore0 (Rare Co-Conn)

Their Twitch Page can be found here. Keep up to date when streams go live with Twitter.Check out their DeviantArt , Steam Community .

Omnicomms provides the following examples of these tropes:

  • Aborted Arc:
    • Silverdude revealed that his The Simpsons Hit & Run playthrough had to be canceled due to complications, however he HAS noted he might return to it down the road. This came true and the playthrough eventually got revived.
    • Mastersword's Ocarina of Time playthrough has been cancelled, due to his save file being on his laptop, NOT his PC. His controller is also really bad, causing many control problems.
  • Accidental Misnaming: Markpen tends to do this often with Japanese names.
  • The Ace:
  • Apologises a Lot: Silverdude tends to do this a lot during instances he deems as a failure, even if they're not within his control, e.g. Twitch crashing during E3 2015
    • Latios2 falls under this trope as well, often apologising for very mundane things or things that aren't in his control.
  • Ascended Extra: On a meta level, Most of the streamers were originally just watchers of Hellfire Commentaries.
    • Played straight with Twitch chat member Jmullrz3 who got promoted to chat moderator.
  • Ax-Crazy: Silverdude, as a stream of Star Wars: The Old Republic shows when it comes to killing things that he doesn't have much to gain from.
    • Legendary Boss Hunter is this in general.
  • Be Careful What You Say: Happened twice during a stream of Persona 3 FES. Once Legendary was mildly upset with Yukari constantly dying. Saying, "I swear if this Mudo hits her...", just for said spell to OHKO her the next turn. Secondly, when facing a group of Wild Beast, Legendary said, "This fight is over as long as it doesn't get a critical hit on me.", a critical hit occurred and a game over soon followed.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Happened with Mogeko Castle where Zork wanted Inu to get a particular bad ending... to which Inu showed him, he instantly regretted it.
  • Berserk Button: Several members have stated they have some of theirs:
  • Body-Count Competition: During the Hyrule Warriors stream Zork and Silverdude had an contest in which they saw who could kill the most characters within a given level.
  • Born Lucky: Several members have had insane luck like:
    • Sgm feels his Ranger Bountive in Phantasy Star Online 2 is this because he tends to often encounter rare enemies only with that character.
      • This happen again during limited quest where he got a Gryphon Gels on his second try with Bountive
    • During a Wonder Trade session, Inu had gotten herself a shiny Arceus.
    • Mastersword managed to beat Barbariccia in Final Fantasy IV using only Kain. Due to the rest of the party dying, and Sword giving up hope of victory, he decided to get Kain to spam jump. This resulted in Barbariccia not being able to hit him, and through these cheap tactics, and a bit of lucky timing, he won the boss battle.
    • Mull managed to scare four purple rupees while sailing to get he third pearl in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
    • Latios rolling five 10 blocks in a row in Mario Party 2, mind you, he was playing as Peach
    • Zork finding FIVE Gold Beanies in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
    • Silver rolling a triple 10 in Mario Party 6.
    • During sgm92's run of Sonic And Sega All Stars Racing Transformed he got an all star when he is 2nd place, and YET he is right next to the Ai that is in 1st place
  • Born Unlucky:
    • Sgm just can't catch a break in luck-based games. An obvious example comes with Blue Shells in Mario Kart where they just love to troll him at the most inopportune. Another example being from during a Mario Party 2 stream, not even getting a Chance Time space, instead he gets a Bowser Space instead. ANOTHER example being from 100% Orange Juice, a very RNG based game, it tends to flip flop on him.
  • Broken Record: Most members have something they constantly say. Some more than others.
    • Whenever Legendary mentions God Eater and how much better the sequel is in comparison.
    • Ezio's opinions on dub vs. sub whenever voice acting or anime is mention.
    • Sgm's mention of how Blue Shells "love him" due to his Mario Kart 8 skills.
    • Mull constantly states how he hates Frozen (2013)
  • Butt-Monkey: Member Jmullrz3 and usually put as the butt of a joke, mainly by Zork.
    • Since Mull gained promotion, this trope has fallen mostly on chat member Randomreject, who will often get timed out in Mull's place (see Monado Purge)
    • Mull is still considered the Butt-Monkey of the mods however
  • Catchphrase: Nearly every commentator has one
    • Zork: "Bombs for days!" (Mainly for Hyrule Warriors streams.)
    • Legendary Boss Hunter: "Monado activate! MONADO PURGE!"
    • Sgm92:
    • "Welp"
      • "aaaaaaaaaaaaay"
    • Aurawolf7: "Incoming yells"
    • Jmullrz3: "Pizza"
    • Vileruby:
      • "I need damage"
      • "sed hep"
    • Mastersword126:
      • "Ruto Best Waifu"
      • "SPLOOSH!" (When role playing as Wordsmith)
    • Latios2:
      • "Oh God"
      • "You were saying?"
    • Shared:
      • "God damnit Random!!!"
      • "Mull, are you muted again?"
      • "Get back here you f*ck!" Mostly used during Mario Kart 8
  • Challenge Seeker: Random, during a multiplayer stream of Splatoon challenged 4 of the Omnicomms' Mods to a 4 versus 1 match, they accepted and needless to say, the result was obvious but the match was anything but a complete whitewash
    • Random's also gone on to challenge Sgm, Zork and Legendary to a 3 versus 1 match
  • Composite Character: member Greekplayer64 says he's this of members Jmullrz3 and Randomreject
  • Chivalrous Pervert Vileruby claims himself to be this
  • The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard: Trent accuses the AI of cheating in Mario Party 3 when the AI in Woody Woods gets two happening Spaces in a row lengthening it's movement that turn GREATLY due to the structure of Happening Spaces on that board.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Mull tends to be very redundant when hes around, often typing in the chat when on co-comm
    • And examples of the co-comms being redundant;
Mull: "Whimsicott the little bastard can really be a bastard."
      Mull: "Greek speaks in Greek."
      Latios: "I completely completed Drift"
  • Disappointed in You: Zork's disappointed sigh.
    • The general reaction when someone makes a pun or bad joke
  • Epic Fail:
    • Legendary Boss Hunter dying to two bosses of Sonic Advance 2.....AS CREAM!....a couple of deaths later, a game over followed.
    • Zork at the end of his first part of his redo of the Donkey Kong 64 playthrough ended with searching for Chunkey's last bananas in Angry Aztec, he found a majority of them bundled together before Latios raged. This was THEN followed by getting the Jetpac game, getting the Rareware coin.. ...only to DIE INCHES FROM IT!!! This was THEN followed by finding out the LAST banana balloon was in an area Zork THOUGHT he checked before. Latios unleashed all of his rage for this.
    • Mull, during Death Egg Act 2, repeatedly died (7 times) in the same area of the act, leading to quite hilarious reactions from his co-comms and the chat.
    • Mull, during his stream, asked Silverdude to make a strawpoll to decide between Metal Gear Rising, Sonic Generations and Portal 2: Single Player, after about 20 minutes of waiting for someone to break the tie between Sonic Gens and MGR, Mull eventually tossed a coin to decide between Sonic and MGR. The results of the coin toss ended up with Sonic winning...only to find out that he had already lent Sonic Gens to his uncle, making the strawpoll entirely pointless.
    • Mull, during multiplayer night somehow managed to hit himself with his own blue shell during Mario Kart 8 while in a low ranking position
    • Zork, during an Okami stream very late at night, after covering the last of E3, was rushing to a save point so that he could end and go to bed, encountering enemies along the way and going the wrong way, in the next stream, he realized he could've initiated the cut-scene with Waka and use the save point right after, saving a lot of time
    • sgm92, during the egg emperor from sonic heroes, it's health is down to 3, so he decided to use the homing attack on the egg emperor which also causes him to die during the egg emperor defeated cutscene
    • sgm92, during him playing Phantasy Star Online 2 while playing as his hunter, Devil; he walked right into the enemy for no apparent reason, which caused him to die.
    • Sgm once again, this time during the Sky Deck level as Tails in Sonic Adventure where he proceeded to fly over the animal capsule at the end and die
    • Sgm another time this time in Super Smash Bros. where he has a one and one match with Mull. As soon that his captain falcon is in the Star KO, sgm decided to intended KO himself; but unfortunately he went out first instead of mull which causes a big laughed to each others and causing sgm to slap himself in the face.
  • Fan Boy: Each member of the group has a few franchises or games they REALLY love. Specific examples include:
  • Fish Eyes: During around the early days of omnicomms, sgm92 has been known as the king of derps; and has a curse that cause everyone else to have a derp moment
  • Follow the Leader: Omnicomms was originally spun off from Hellfire Commentaries.
  • Freudian Slip: While starting their Omnianniversary with Mull's playthrough of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time Latios accidently blurted out "God damnit old man can you just be stright with us! ..OH GOD I realized what I just said."
  • Glass Cannon: Sgm's force, who is Wizard, in Phantasy Star Online 2 is pretty much this.
  • Gender Bender: The Pokemon streams reflect this, usually having Pokemon named after members of the channel opposite of their actual gender.
  • Genki Girl: Aurawolf7 tends to be this in her brighter moments.
  • Gratuitous Greek: Greekplayer being Greek can't always avoid this, and occasionally ends up typing Greek letters into the chat. to which he'll then curse himself out for.
  • Hell Is That Noise: A very hilarious example of this happened during one of Zork's streams, in which Silver and Legendary discussed the Yoshi Island games for a moment before Yoshi's New Island's horrible soundtrack was brought up. Legendary never heard the game's soundtrack, so Silver sent him a youtube video of one of the music pieces. Legendary's youtube however wasn't working thus he couldn't hear it. Cut to 20 minutes later when all of sudden Legendary started to yell in pain as youtube suddenly played the music. Laughs ensued.
  • History Repeats: Zork, during the Pokémon Platinum run of the pokemon-a-thon, kept mistaking Team Galactic as Team Plasma, when he got to Pokémon Black, he mistakenly kept referring to Team Plasma as Team Galactic
  • I Meant to Do That: Happens quite often during streams where the streamer does something on accident that actually benefits them, such as Mull catching a Zoni in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time when he meant to ready a spring platform
  • In Harm's Way: Legendary in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, as he was incredibly reckless, especially as Hyper Sonic
  • Incredibly Lame Pun: The Kirby & the Amazing Mirror stream was FULL of these particularly in Peppermint Palace
    • During one part of Zork's Final Fantasy XIII stream, the commentator needed Anything to talk about due to the game being streamed 14 hours, so a LONG part of the ending was filled with bad puns.
    • The chat was filled with these during Pokémon Platinum, much to the streamer and co-comm's dismay
    • Silver and Mull had a pun off while Inu was streaming Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival based on tree and wood puns, much to Inu's dismay
  • Is This Thing On?:
    • Inverted in one case, Latios2 once thought he had muted his mike when he didn't when dealing with issues with his brother, however since he had not muted it the stream heard him which led to awkwardness he personally apologized for.
    • Inverted again while Sgm was trying to start a stream of Big's story in Sonic Adventure before he got into an argument thinking the mic was muted while it wasn't.
    • Inverted with Latios again, during the Microsoft E3 Reaction stream, fell asleep, then after the conference was done, proceeded to snore, and his cat could be heard meowing in the background, leaving the streamer, co-comm and chat in stitches.
    • Mull seems to be the most frequent co-comm under this trope, as he forgets to unmute his mic quite regularly while Latios seems to be the most frequent co-comm under this trope inverted
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Legendary Boss Hunter can come off as this. With Legendary Boss Hunter coming off as a sarcastic selfless bastard, but when it comes down to it s/he cares for the group and helps out whenever needed.
    • Inverted with Zork, he is a nice person and cares about his friends... ..but that doesn't stop him from occasionally being a dick around them (IE in Pokemon Showdown using Mega Gengar against Unown and then Disabling it so it couldn't even use it's one attack.
    • Downplayed with Mull as he can generally be a dick to others often making snarky remarks but he cares a lot for his friends and the group
  • Kick the Dog: While playing Mario Kart 8 Latios ended up getting hit by Zork RIGHT before crossing the finish line of the current race, as he was using Isabelle, he declared Zork officially did this.
  • Mood Dissonance: While playing Left 4 Dead 2 for Multi-Player Night, Zork had a few mods installed which took away from the otherwise serious nature of the game. Some of these include:
    • Replacing the standard Zombies with Zubat
    • Replacing the Charger with Donkey Kong
  • Mr. Exposition: Latios2 serves this when he's commentating when he can so others don't have to.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: During his stream of Scribblenauts Unlimited, Legendary got the smart idea of creating a metallic, godlike, invincible, firebreathing, and electric version of Ridley from Metroid. This went about as well as you would imagine.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: Since Latios' laptop crashed, he was unable to be on co-comm for a short period, however, during this period, Silverdude refused to continue any playthroughs he started with Latios as his co-comm
    • Most of the streamers also fit under this trope as they will wait to continue their main game if their planned co-comm is unavailable, often streaming something else until then
  • No Sense of Direction: Silver admitted to having this after Zork noticed it while playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  • Otaku: Sgm is convinced that Ezio is this.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Cain notes himself as this.
  • Pungeon Master:
    • Chat member Randomreject likes to make a lot, and we mean a LOT of puns off the top of his head.
    • One of our members, Legendary, has been making a lot of puns that made latios loathed them.
  • Put on a Bus: Legendary at one point in early 2015 had to temporarily take leave for collage work interrupting them from being able to providing to the group.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Zork tends to be the red to everyone, while usually Silver/Aurawolf7 (while she's calm) are the Blue.
  • Reluctant Ruler: Mastersword is this. Most of the group refers to him as the leader, despite him often denying it and saying he doesn't want to be. And they still insist upon it.
  • Running Gag: Some of the many repeated jokes that occur on a regular basis:
    • Monado Purge: Legendary Boss Hunter tends to say this before purging(timing out someone for a second) someone in chat. Mostly done for laughs.
      • This has also lead to a majority of the mods having their own special purges
    • Sgm the Fairy: Due to Sgm having a Fairy type Friend Safari and the ONLY one in the group to, he has been repeatedly called this.
      • This has also cause sgm92 to be known as the fairy derp
    • Avatar: Vileruby and Legendary Boss Hunter have been known to repeatedly change their Skype avatars during streams, usually leading to horrifying or hilarious results.
    • Battle Intro: Vileruby has intros he plays whenever he enters a call. Usually an Airhorn.
    • GOD DAMNIT (Insert streamer name here) : When an Epic Fail occurs, this is expected to follow.
    • It's (Insert boss name here): Whenever an easy boss beats a streamer or puts them within an inch of their lives, this is soon to follow.
    • Censored for Comedy: Played for laughs with Silver, who will purposefully bleep out a swear word for comedic value
    • I'm The Real Rosalina: Happens during Mario Kart 8 streams, most players will pick Rosalina and claim to be "The Real Rosalina"
    • 5 Knuckle Shuffle: this has been appearing a lot during Mull streaming Quiplash
  • Sanity Slippage: Sgm lost his shit during while Silver was testing his 3DS capture Card with Smash 4.
  • Shipper on Deck: There's been a few shippings formed out of the commentators and fictional characters.
    • Sgm X Samus X Ridley X Mewtwo X Luigi
    • Legendary Boss Hunter X Lana
    • Jmullrz3 x Midna x Foxy
    • Mastersword X Fi (Against his will)
  • Society Is to Blame: The group tend to blame League of Legends whenever tech issues plague a Twitch stream.
  • Split Personality: Legendary Boss Hunter has a female personality/persona named Huntress Kazacagi. She's known for being sassy and calling others baka. As of since Legendary's return from his break, Huntress has yet to be seen again. Legendary has said she died from the depression that caused said break, but some say she's waiting deep in his inner psyche for her eventual return.
  • Stupidity Is the Only Option: When Zork streamed Hyrule Warriors he saw a Cuckoo minding it's own business... But of course he had to attack it and cause the great Cuckoo apocalypse to happen.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Legendary Boss Hunter - "I'm not David Bowie!"
  • Take That!: Legend with a shot taken at the Play Station Vita during the Nintendo Direct on 11.12.2015, during the reveal of many RPGs coming to the 3DS, Mull then brought up the Vita and asked how it was an RPG machine, Legend quickly answered "What's a Vita?", Mull just replied with "Good point"
  • The Bus Came Back: Legendary was able to return as of May 14th, 2015.
    • Aura made a long awaited return to co-comm 3 days after Christmas 2015
  • The Cameo: Latios2's cat occasionally is heard on stream.
  • The Gadfly: Commentator Sgm tends to mess with the audio of a stream for the hell of it.
    • Mull constantly sending messages to Silver on Steam, despite being in the call
      • Also doubles as The Cameo trope as Sgm sneaked in a message among Mull's, only to be confused for Mull by Silver
  • The Many Deaths of You: Legendary during his run of Sonic 3 & Knuckles
  • The Quiet One: Mastersword doesn't talk much, leading to most other co-comms asking if he's still there
    • Garath also tends to refer to himself in the third person
  • This Just In!: Parodied with members Jmullz and Randomreject, as well as their unpaid intern Greekplayer in the Twitch chat in which they usually report on events happening in game that the steamer has done like a news report called OmniNews. ...but then sometimes they report on irreverent matters.
  • Token Minority: Averted, most of the people, especially the streamers do not share the same ethnicity.
  • Verbal Tic:
    • Latios2: "Oh god"
  • We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties: Twitch, the site usually used to stream has an infamous tendency to glitch out.
    • As well as the usual Skype call glitchiness
    • Zork's headset tends to make a weird noise from time to time cutting him off.
    • During Ezio's first attempt to stream The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time Master Quest on an emulator, the emulator crashed to the horror of the realization that he had not save, meaning he had to get up to where he had been again off screen.
  • You Monster!: Latios declares Silverdude to be this. ...for jumping on Luigi's head in Super Mario Galaxy
    • Mastersword claimed Mull to be this when he admitted he liked torturing the Miis on the Wii U Home Menu, by making them run back and forth.
    • Mastersword claimed Legendary to be this when Legend attempted to blow up an orphanage in Scribblenauts Unlimited with a nuke.
    • The chat claimed Mull to be this when he suggested eating a Togepi.
  • Word Salad Title: During Legendary's Scribblenauts Unlimited stream, in which he had a Ridley mod, the chat went into a frenzy of insert Ridley's name in x title, which lead to titles such as, Metal Ridley Rising: Revengeance and Ridley 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles.
    • Done once again during a random bout of Mario Kart 8, this time using the word 'Omni'.
    • Legendary Boss Hunter has also mentioned doing a blind stream of the School Days Visual Novel, Silverdude called Legendary Insane, after which Legend confirmed it was a joke, however Randomreject has said that he'll hold Legendary to that promise anyway.
    • Mull openly admits to like Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), Random proceeds to call him this.
