The dumpster behind all the big fancy Danganronpa roleplays!

A Play By Post Game based off of Danganronpa and hosted on Discord but with additional media from other platforms. Spanning over more than ten sessions, Goodbye Yeet Academy (GYA) follows several ultimate students trapped in a Deadly Game just like the original series it is based off of.

Unlike the original series there's a Total Party Kill, a Self-Insert or two, scented ghosts, Instagram, and more.

The RP is private and requires an application to join (as a role player, not a spectator) however all examples used on this page are compiled and listed right here

Characters

Goodbye Yeet Academy 6

     Akasuki Sayomi (spoilers unmarked)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jpeg_20181124_175356.jpg
Baby

The Ultimate Coordinator Akasuki Sayomi, an excitable girl with your best interests at heart but doesn't know what your best interests are.

Her eventual fate in the killing game is being executed by machine gun fire because she told the mastermind Samson Valentine that domestic abuse was bad and shocked him 9 times with a shock collar on his neck.

  • Color Motif: Akasuki's Japanese, where white and purple (her outfit's colors) are associated with death. White also symbolizes her innocence, being one of the more childish of the cast.

  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The mastermind shot her so many times with a machine gun that people referred to her as swiss cheese.

  • Extreme Omnivore: Akasuki has pica, and commonly is seen eating crayons.

  • Flower Motifs: Akasuki starts the killing game by getting a flower pot, wishing to get some red flowers as they're her favorite type. They're her favorite kind of flowers because they remind her of her girlfriend, symbolizing one of Akasuki's main motivations being her lover.

  • Pyromaniac: On multiple occasions she set things on fire, from an onion to the mastermind's door.

  • Signature Headgear: Akasuki is never seen without her big hair bow used to tie her hair into pigtails. And when she ends up mutilated by machine gun, the first way Andrew can tell who the corpse belongs to is the bloodstained bow on the back of her head.

  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: While kidnapping multiple people and drugging everyone's food is bad, she's doing it to save everyone from themselves.

  • Yandere: Shows shades of this when she tries to kill three different people when her girlfriend is threatened in the haiku motive.

     Samson Valentine (spoilers unmarked)

A heterosexual Ultimate Debater, Samson Valentine's a serious man who hates gay people. He is the mastermind behind the killing game, creating it because he thought his classmates didn't like him.

  • Abusive Parents: His father called him homophobic slurs for liking poetry and was implied to have not taken his relationship with Andrew kindly.

  • Big Bad: Of Goodbye Yeet Academy 6.

  • Dark and Troubled Past: He believes he caused the fire that killed his little sister Vera.

  • Sanity Slippage: He slowly slips throughout the game but starts sliding hard and fast following his murder of Akasuki.

  • Trauma Button: Fire, which reminds him of the fire he believes killed his sister. Does not help that Akasuki keeps setting fires right in front of him.

  • Walking Spoiler: As the mastermind of the killing game, it's hard to talk about him without mentioning his role.

  • Would Hurt a Child: He killed the loved ones of all of his classmates, one of which was a preteen girl.

  • Villainous Breakdown: Has one when someone (Etoile) repeatedly rejects to be his friend during the mastermind trial that results in him killing everyone but Andrew.

     Etoile Beaumont (spoilers unmarked)

  • Back from the Dead: Subverted. Samson hints at doing this to him and every other dead member of the cast, but just puts voice boxes in their corpses so they say pre-recorded lines at his discretion.

  • Hidden Depths: Has a mental illness involving violent intrusive thoughts. Sadly nobody gets to know about this as he's quickly killed off.

  • Idol Singer: His talent.

  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He got stabbed in the neck an hour into the game's first motive.

  • Aerith and Bob: Énti, Krývo, Tsióo and Asfódelos are all Greek while Zenzero is Italian.

  • Bilingual Bonus: Énti is Greek for Eddie, Melissa's first friend of the killing game who was shot like Harambe. Krývo is Greek for Hide, Melissa's big brother figure who's execution ended with his rabbit stolen. Tsióo is Greek for Chiyo, a prostitute Melissa has a crush on. Asfódelos is Greek for Daffodil, Melissa's childhood friend.

  • The Dividual: As the five rats are stuck together by the tail, they have learned to act as one unit. All five work together to the common goal of doing what makes Melissa happy.

  • Odd Name Out: While the other four rats are named after people important to Melissa, Zenzero is named after a plant.

  • An Arm and a Leg: They have Octavia chop off their arm. They had legitimate reasons for this though, since the recent trial left them with broken fingers and Octavia offered to replace their arm with a robot one.

  • Drugs Are Good: They think so at least, keeping a bag of cocaine for themself and to share.

  • Eye Scream: Monokuma implies he would've scooped out Ohta's eyeballs had Izumi been executed for murder, as Ohta was his accomplice.

  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: They plan to take down and kill the mastermind and are willing to do whatever is needed to accomplish this plan including risking the deaths of other people. This ends up leading to their death when the person they try to kill decapitates them.

     Octavia Reinhold
The Ultimate Roboticist. Plans on stealing your arms and replacing them with robot ones that you have to pay her for.

  • The Sociopath: He checks all the boxes between manipulating Midori, a lack of empathy, a lack of any meaningful relationships (as shown in the hostage motive when he admitted he'd let what was essentially his surrogate father die), his talent of serving others no matter what being his raison d'etre (emphasis on no matter what.)

     Lestat "Lottie" Dostoevsky
The Ultimate Fashion Photographer.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Locked in a dungeon cell for the rest of his life, kept barely alive and in pain by Claudius as revenge for killing his boyfriend. Lestat's not upset by it, knowing he caused more pain to Claudius than the latter will to him.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Doesn't do much until the last motive and finale, where he becomes the catalyst of most bad things that happen from there on out from setting up Atsuko's murder to killing Azaïs in self defense.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: While 'hero' may be a stretch, he screws over the other survivors when he kills Azaïs, leading to Andromeda and Dulcie almost having to endure a Fate Worse than Death with him.

     Case (spoilers unmarked)

Goodbye Yeet Academy Sandbox

     Gerald B

The Ultimate Door Dasher.

  • The Chessmaster: Sees himself as one, likening the concept of licking his customer's DoorDash orders to chess.
  • Lean and Mean: A tall, thin and gangly man with long limbs who enjoys licking other people's food.

     Goodbye Yeet Academy 6 Recap
16 students wake up in a locked gymnasium and are told by a fiendish bear that to leave they must kill each other...

Then shit happens lol.

Andrew Hollow, the Ultimate Actor gets punched by the Ultimate Debater, Samson Valentine, starting their homoerotic rivalry. Andrew then proceeds to get in a love triangle with a hacker and an emo.

The cast holds a vote for a student council to keep everyone safe. Everyone who's nominated get elected except for the person who has experience in student government (Samson). Etoile Beaumont, Ultimate Historical Fashionista, spies on Samson. Akasuki, Ultimate Coordinator, joins her and they immediately get caught. Akasuki shows she's fucking insane, and is compared to Nagito Komaeda. Etoile and Akasuki are both kicked off of student government and Samson takes their place. Someone is so infuriated with the results that they rage quit and their body is deep fried.

Surume, Ultimate Idol and gay, looks at jellyfish.

Four girls go to have a sauna day and spill juicy backstory with each other. Akasuki was maimed by a serial killer who murdered her entire family. Etoile went to a fancy party where someone died. Overwatch. Andrew stumbles into the sauna and immediately stumbles out, dropping his sketchbook full of doodles.

The first motive is released, the aquarium will burst open and drown all the students if a murder does not take place. The cast meets up in the cafeteria for breakfast to discuss a plan. Akasuki stress eats a marker. Surume is stabbed in the neck. The killer is immediately caught as there were over a dozen witnesses and is executed via Undertale.

Akasuki has a depression snack of crayons, kidnaps a man at the aquarium and tries to feed him Samson's bath water so he doesn't get dehydrated. She's convinced to let him go.

A pool is opened with the killer's death, and the gang decides to plan a pool party in the next couple days.

Akasuki steals 70 knives from the kitchen, to the horror of Samson who tries to negotiate them away from her. He gives her eggs and manages to convince her to give him 69 of the knives.

Samson then takes these 69 knives into the pool and sees a man's penis.

A library is then unlocked, and with it the second motive. Every character has had a haiku written about them. These haikus threaten to reveal their person's secrets if a murder does not happen. Akasuki duct tapes a knife to her hand and tries to murder people to little success, only managing to make Samson cry and breaking an oven.

The cast then goes to the pool party and finds a buff man dead in the water. A man slits his throat during the investigation. Samson cries about how he's gay.

Etoile attempts to interrogate who she thinks the killer is to no success, however her guess was right and the cast executes the killer the next day. Akasuki stabs Samson in the shins.

Monokuma reveals everyone's haikus for the fun of it! Andrew helped bury his mother's dead body, Etoile is plotting world domination, the mastermind killed Akasuki's pet bird and someone else's dog along with stealing someone's teddy bear and Monokuma's giving everyone photocopies of that dead buff man's nudes.

Akasuki leaves, goes to Andrew's room and stabs herself in the stomach. Andrew begrudgingly takes her to the nurse's office as his harem was with him and he didn't want to disappoint them.

The cast unlocks a new floor with Samson's childhood bedroom in it.

A third motive is released: everyone has shock collars strapped to their necks and a remote that'll cause someone else to get shocked. Akasuki kidnaps Samson while he's getting a blowjob in the aquarium. Samson convinces her to let him go by making an egg dinner with her.

Etoile puts her remote in her bra, unknowingly repeatedly shocking an emo.

Lily, Ultimate Toymaker, decides she won't shock anyone. She is electrocuted as punishment.

Akasuki tries poisoning everyone's eggs so she can get everyone's remotes for the greater good, but nobody wants to eat her eggs. She also kidnaps Etoile, which ends up revealing Etoile's other personality Elise.

Akasuki tells Samson that domestic abuse is bad, uses her remote to shock him, and he commands Monokuma to shoot her with a machine gun 60+ times. The collars fall off upon her death.

Monokuma makes everyone clean up the corpse since he's too lazy to do it. Andrew suspects Samson's the killer and mastermind. He sneaks into Samson's childhood bedroom and finds his diary that reveals his troubled inner thoughts.

Etoile literally stumbles on Samson feeding someone chicken poisoned with cyanide, and runs to tell the others. Samson reveals he's the mastermind.

The gang goes on a Scooby-Doo quest through a clown themed room, which reveals Andrew's fear of clowns. They find a class photo of everyone and a gun to ward off the clowns, however it's a prop gun and they flee. They then go into a room with a box in it. In that box is a man's penis. This room is to demonstrate how heterosexual Samson is.

Everyone confronts Samson in the headmaster's office. Samson's sewing the deceased into puppets, as he misses his friends and wants them back. He also reveals to everyone that he had all of their loved ones killed.

The mastermind trial happens. Surume's dead corpse begs you to buy his new single on iTunes. Samson begs the survivors to be his friend. Everyone lies and agrees to except Etoile. Samson reveals Andrew was actually his boyfriend in high school, and then kills everyone in the school except for the two of them.

Samson and Andrew then went to Panda Express.

     Goodbye Yeet Academy 7 Recap

Goodbye Yeet Academy 7

16 students wake up in a locked gymnasium and are told by a fiendish bear that to leave they must kill each other...

Then shit happens!

Ko Gamo, Ultimate Rhythm Gamer, tries to climb a kitchen counter as he's short. He falls and lands on top of Rei, Ultimate Jinx. Meanwhile, more brain damage is happening. Te55, a robot that's the Ultimate Beta Tester, startles Ortlinde Dietrich, Ultimate Blacksmith, in the storage closet. Ortlinde was trying to get some tools but ends up dropping a box of hammers on her head. Both Rei and Ortlinde are taken to the nurse's office where Kaze Kagami, Ultimate Archer, treats them.

Reiki Moto, Ultimate Boyfriend, builds a little robot named Fluffnut. He shows it around and people pet it.

There's an Uno game. It was terrible.

Elkie Adleman, Ultimate Thief and lesbian, stabs Monokuma. He blows up and she loses her hand.

Ortlinde wakes up from the hammer bonk with amnesia. She likes pretzel m&ms and has a big spear.

That really awkward sauna scene.

Things get worse for Elkie.

Motive 1, everyone is given a USB of a loved one who's life is on the line. Reiki's abusive boyfriend, Ortlinde's father, Kaze's father, the woman who saved Rei's life, and Ko's sister are among those who's lives are threatened.

Rei gets kidnapped and Ko gets roofied. Elkie goes and rescues Rei, kills the kidnapper, and then offs herself. However, Rei is a highly suspicious suspect, having been the last person to see both the deceased. To clear his name, Rei has to admit he lied about his talent; Rei's really the Ultimate Cannibal. He could not have killed either victim as he would've probably ate them. The class passes the trial.

Pool party.

Reiki makes a cardboard robot for a girl mourning the nasty dude Elkie killed.

Rei and Ko get closer. Boyfriends.

Te55 figures out Reiki's also a robot.

Motive two comes out. Shock collars that will kill you if you get a total of ten shocks. To keep the collars from shocking them, the players must never perform forbidden actions. Te55 can't swear, Reiki has to have a lit candle with him at all times, Ko can't be in the same room as Rei, Rei has to eat human flesh every day, Kaze has to eat spiders, and Ortlinde can't eat or drink.

Reiki eats a candle so it's always with him.

Ko steals someone's blood for Rei. Blood tax.

Te55 keeps getting herself shocked because she won't stop swearing. Reiki thinks she died when she short circuited and gets really upset.

Someone almost drowns. They don't though so motive keeps on going.

Ko discovers Reiki ate a candle and figures out he's a robot.

Ortlinde almost dies of dehydration. Ko saves her but it gets her shocked five times.

Ortlinde begs Ko to kill her. Ko refuses and she tries to do it herself but can't.

That mourning girl is found dead in her room with Ortlinde's spear in her gut and her robot crushed.

The class thinks Ko killed her. Ko did think of the idea but Ortlinde did commit the crime.

The group is subjected to the bends, also known as decompression sickness. Reiki is crushed like a soda can. Ko dents him out though.

Te55 teaches Rei how to dab.

Motive 3: "Hostage Roulette"

Two random people from the first motive's USB threats are chosen at random. One must die and the cast must vote on who.

First round is Ko's sister vs Kaze's dad.

The cast ties the vote. A coin is flipped and the two hostages are spared. However the woman who saved Rei is shot nine times in the skull on camera to compensate.

More people get shot. It goes on for several days and then a wheel is spun with the names of all the students. The person who's name is chosen will die.

Reiki is chosen.

He gets a bomb strapped onto him, says 'fuck', and then rips out his AI chip and chucks it across the room, and thus preserving himself.

Then... it gets messier.

Hours later, Rei and Ko are found dead of an overdose in each other's arms.

Ortlinde makes themed knives based off everyone who had died.

Te55 who doesn't really have anything to do after Reiki's death and is very bored, decides to set the school on fire.

Kaze's boyfriend kills himself so that the school won't be on fire.

Ortlinde gives Kaze a knife.

Te55 is restrained and her rampage is stopped. Kaze stabs her a couple dozen times in the face though and kills her.

Kaze tells everyone in the murder trial to vote for him. They do. Then Ortlinde pushes him out of the way of his execution and dies in his place.

Meanwhile in the afterlife (which is a movie theater), Reiki and Rei are playing Fortnite. There are many puppies running around. Ko is screaming at Ortlinde through the movie theater screen. Then Ortlinde comes into the movie theater when she dies, builds a forge, and then gets set on fire. Rei wins Fortnite.

The mastermind investigation is afoot. Nobody except Kaze investigates and all he finds is some text messages.

Everyone dies except the mastermind. And Reiki technically. Ko, Rei, and Ortlinde start a ghost metal band.

Trivia

     Trivia Folder
  • Actor Leaves, Character Dies: It happened to GYA10's Ultimate Ethologist when the creator dropped out though, with the excuse being Monokuma having killed him.
  • Ascended Fanon: The ending of GYA Dinner, which is Vernon's brother Eddie rescuing the cast on a boat with a crew of monkeys, did not happen in RP due to it being cancelled but has been confirmed by Word of God to be the canon ending.
  • Cancellation: Idol Battle Royale was cancelled due to being terrible. GYA Dinner was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.
  • Creator Breakdown: Many of the writers have mental illness, such as depression, horny, or gay.
  • Creator's Favorite Episode: Goodbye Yeet Academy 6 is regarded as one of the best seasons, with it being some people's favorites due to a well written and engaging plot by the mastermind that takes a twist near the beginning of the end and has many fan favorite characters, such as Andrew.
  • I Knew It!: Happens often, as this is a murder mystery roleplay. The most notable examples include:
    • Reiki being a robot was guessed beforehand due to him detecting poison in a retconned scene and eating a candle.
    • Avery being the mastermind of Goodbye Yeet Academy 8, as a potential Shout-Out to their creator Octavia being the masterminding of Goodbye Yeet Academy 2.
    • Hepheatus being Masuyo's killer was predicted the moment her file dropped, as she was sliced cleanly in half with a serrated blade and he owned a chainsaw.
    • Sora having killed Croix and Amaya was also instantly predicted, as their corpses bordered on Gorn. Fitting for a murder from the Ultimate Horror Artist.
    • Claudius being the mastermind was called half way through the game due to multiple weird things but most importantly the gun arm.
  • Loads and Loads of Writers: The average game has around 14-16 players, with GYA10 having the most: a whopping 20 different people writing a different character each.
  • Old Shame:
    • Skye had mixed feelings at best for how he wrote Gya2's climax.
    • Apple regrets playing Nikko in Idol Battle Royale instead of Masuyo.
    • Nep regrets joining the roleplay server in the first place.
    • Otto regrets being accused of having a pee drinking fetish and even looking at GYA.
    • Kamukuras regrets not having Waki wear a Playboy bunny outfit.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: The only reason that Andrew and Samson ended up being confirmed to have previously dated was because of a joke that failed to delete on Andrew's roleplayer Robin's Discord, and they decided to run with it.

Tropes:

  • Ascended Meme: "The Ca" was a phrase used by the group out of character to refer to Mochi the Cat, a pet belonging to a character who dropped out. In GYA11, a character actually brought a cat to the killing game.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Ohta refers to Izumi as 'Zu-Zu.'
  • Armoured Closet Gay: Melissa Mary Michail, the Ultimate Public Speaker constantly voices her beliefs that homosexuality is terrible and a byproduct of vaccines. After watching lesbian anime, she comes to the Heel Realization she herself is a lesbian.
  • Big Bad: The mastermind of the killing game.
    • GYA 2 had Octavia Reinhold, Ultimate Roboticist.
    • GYA 4 had Yuuto Yamashita, doot doot tfw no bf Man.
    • GYA 6 had Samson Valentine, Ultimate Debater.

    • GYA 9 had Leah Ashworth, Ultimate Scientist.
    • GYA 10 had Guiku "Iku" Yi-Chun, Ultimate Hero.
    • GYA 11 had Claudius Flamvell, Ultimate Monarch.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Daffodil names her Stuart Little expy mouse 'Στιούαρτ', which is Greek for Stuart.
  • Cat Boy: Satoshi, a boy with cat ears.
  • Chained Heat: The handcuff motive from the GYA 10 featured a lot of this. From the gamer boy and the prison guard who beat him up, the flower girl who loves everyone and the roboticist who would send roombas to stab you, and the whore trio.
  • Creepy Catholicism: Melissa's ideas of Catholicism comes from her cult that believes essential oils are the Cure for Cancer and that whipping children is funny.
  • Crossover Couple: Monokuma has a child (Green Babykuma) in GYA10 with Kamukuras, the admin of the server and a real human person.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Akasuki Sayomi, Ultimate Coordinator was shot 61 times with a machine gun.
  • Darker and Edgier: Danganronpa didn't have any references to Middle Eastern Terrorists or swiss cheesed children.
  • Did You Actually Believe...?:
    • During GYA10's 3rd trial Octavia was a witness to one of the two murders and pulled out photographic and video evidence of both it and the second murder to accuse the two separate killers. She is correct, however as she's one of the most untrustworthy members of the cast and is accusing two of the most well liked members of the group, the class fails both votes and endures a group punishment.
    • During GYA11's mastermind trial, the cast fails the second part because Claudius purposefully gave them evidence with the wrong answer. When they spent the entire game manipulating things in their favor, it's not that surprising in hindsight.
  • Dramatic Irony:
    • During a shock collar motive, Akasuki tries to steal the remotes off everyone so that they won't shock each other to death but ends up being killed by the mastermind which removes the shock collars off everyone.
    • Masuyo manages to stop Kirino from killing herself by confessing her love to her, only for Masuyo to be killed literal minutes after and Kirino to kill herself in despair days after.
    • Upon being shot with a lethal poisonous dart Isabella immediately stabs herself to death. As she bleeds out, Claudius reveals he had her antidote and had shot her to bargain for the return of his boyfriend, who Isabella had kidnapped.
  • Driven to Suicide:
    • Akasuki was suicidal to begin with, but the stress of the Deadly Game has her make several failed attempts on her life, including drinking a smoothie full of crayons and sleeping pills and stabbing herself in the stomach outside of Andrew's dorm room.
    • Rei and Ko both kill themselves by overdose, they're found cuddling on Ko's bed.
    • What Gabriel's death initially appears to be. It is and it isn't.
    • Masuyo's death has Kirino go Yandere and tries to get Hepheatus to confess to her murder via torture. It's unsuccessful, and Kirino slits her throat at the end of it.
    • Hepheatus, out of guilt for his actions and loneliness from being ostracized by his peers, tears his own heart out and put it in a jar.
