Undead and Unluck

The series' main duo, "Unluck" Fuuko Izumo and "Undead" Andy.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fuuko_and_andy.png
  • Battle Couple: Downplayed, as they aren't an official couple, though most assume they are. The two work together with great synergy as Andy is able to utilize Fuuko's Unluck in battle. This is actually invoked by Juiz as well, as she believes spending more time with Andy will increase Fuuko's power.
  • Fastball Special: One of Fuuko's common team attacks with Andy is to throw his severed head at an enemy, where hopefully the stroke of unluck will affect the enemy by proximity.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Played with.
    • Zigzagged in regards to their fighting styles and powers. Andy uses plenty of melee attacks, but his signature technique is "Parts Bullet," a ranged attack he busts out quite often. Meanwhile, Fuuko has many ranged attacks since her Unluck often pulls things in to do damage, but she needs to get up close to use her ability in the first place. Come the 101st loop, Fuuko uses the Shin Hakkyoku style she learned from Shen, which enables her to better inflict Unluck, making her also able to use melee attacks.
    • Played straight in regards to their weapons. Andy wields a katana to fight, often using it to deal devastating blows, while Fuuko typically uses guns, whether it be a Union issued pistol or an Artifact gun given to her by Rip.
  • Immortal Genius: Of the ‘gradually get good at everything’ variety. At the start of the series, Andy is already an extremely Experienced Protagonist with skills in everything from barbering to plane piloting to advanced applications of his Negator ability, and Victor has had even longer on the order of billions of years. Fuuko, for her part, was not idle with the agelessness and time granted to her by the use of Ark in the 101st loop, and has taken nearly two centuries to become an expert in cooking, martial arts, marksmanship, medical surgery, munitions and scientific equipment manufacturing, and retroactive financial speculation.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: While it seems that Andy is just one to Fuuko at first, it turns out Fuuko is also one to Andy by Victor's comments. Meeting each other resulted in both of them influencing the other to change for the better after their Negator abilities left them isolated, Fuuko regaining her will to live and becoming a braver person and Andy becoming a more optimistic and kinder person.
  • Manic Pixie Dream Girl:
    • Andy is a gender-inverted one toward Fuuko. Prior to the start of the series, she was a shut-in with a dangerous power that caused the immortal Andy to interrupt her suicide attempt thinking her ability could be his key to dying, dragging Fuuko into the world of Negators, UMAs, and god-slaying, and Fuuko becoming determined to fight for the ordinary life she was deprived of because of Unluck. It's also deconstructed as it turns out Andy's boisterous front hid someone whose immortal existence left him nihilistic and detached to the point suicide was his only means of coping and it wasn't until his meeting with Fuuko that he actually began to have any hope.
    • Meanwhile, Fuuko is an inverted example to Andy. Andy originally protected her so she could fall in love with him and give him a stroke of Unluck that could kill him, but Fuuko's genuine kindness, empathy, and determination to protect those she loves is what influences Andy to become a more caring person after having been left detached from his empathy due to his immortal existence.
  • Red Baron: Victor is called 'Victhor', and is legendary as a God of Victory on the battlefield for his exploits. In the 101st loop, Fuuko acquires her own fame as the 'Red Cap of Good Luck', at least within the ramen shop community.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Andy is the red oni, being an aggressive, passionate fighter who springs headfirst into battle with little fear due to his immortality, while Fuuko is the blue, being a more cautious and level headed individual who is less battle inclined but more thoughtful overall.
  • Sword and Sorcerer: Andy is the sword, a powerful melee fighter capable of great feats of strength and able to think up some great plans, but whose impulsiveness can result him needing help and who doesn't always possess the means to win on his own. Fuuko is the Sorcerer, a level-headed young woman capable of summoning devastating attacks but lacking in proper combat training of any kind, often putting her in dire situations with no ability to protect herself. Together, Andy can use Fuuko's Unluck in tandem with his Undead to cause powerful combo attacks with his quick thinking while also protecting Fuuko, while Fuuko can execute Andy's wild plans with ease while also giving back up when he's in danger.

"My dream is... to become a normal girl... and live my life to the fullest until my dying day!! And until I do... no matter what happens... I'll never give up!"

The protagonist and female lead of the story, an 18-year-old girl who's lived most of her life as a lonely shut-in, Her ability, Unluck, negate the luck of anyone who comes in contact with her skin, resulting in often fatal misfortune to befall them. Said power resulted in the death of her parents when she was young, and after living most of her life alone due to her power, she eventually attempted to commit suicide. After her attempt is interrupted by Andy, however, her own luck begins to change for the better.

She is currently working for the Union as the round table's number 10 Negator.

  • Action Girl: Slowly develops into this as the series progresses, going from a timid shut-in too scared to use her power on anyone to someone who won't hesitate to slice Andy's head off to fight off some goons. By the time she's shown again after living over 170 years in the 101st loop, she's now capable of handling UMAs solo.
  • The Ageless: After becoming the new leader of Union and traveling on the Ark, she stops aging and looks around her 20s in the newest loop despite being around since 1800, although she still looks young enough to pass for a teenager when posing as a high school student.
  • Badass Adorable: She's developing into the trope. She's a cute, slightly dorky girl with loads of kindness to spare, and although she doesn't start out with much in the way of combat abilities, she's more than willing to put her life on the line to protect the world and her friends. After 170 years following her looping, she still retains the charm she had in the past, but is now able to better utilize Unluck on her own along with developing pretty decent physical capabilities.
  • Bad Luck Charm: With sufficient development in the 101st loop, Fuuko is able to transmit Unluck to objects she sufficiently cherishes and/or has nostalgia for, effectively turning them into these. While dramatically increasing her combat effectiveness and versatility, this also proves to be something of a double-edged sword, as it is now much more possible for her to accidentally tag her friends and allies with it, necessitating some creative crisis management.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Unluck is an ability that can cause fatal events ranging from car accidents to meteor showers, which makes it perfectly suited for murder and dangerous in the wrong hands. Fuuko however became a shut-in precisely because she didn't want to hurt anyone with it, and after joining the Union, she uses her power to help others instead. Andy puts it best.
Andy: It's the world's cruelest ability within the world's kindest person.
  • Blessed with Suck: Her Unluck ability made her life hell when she was growing up. It led to her parents' deaths and turned her into a shut-in due to the fear of hurting others with it. Once she meets Andy and later joins the Union, however, she gains a better appreciation and understanding of her power, eventually leaning into Cursed with Awesome.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Specifically, she starts borrowing Andy's catchphrase during the 101st loop.
  • Broken Pedestal: Her manga idol Anno Un turns out to be extremely annoying, much to her dismay.
  • Butt-Monkey: In the early chapters, where a lot of comedy happens at her expense, from her exaggerated reactions to Andy spinning her around by her legs while on a rooftop, among other things. She quickly grows out of this, though she still gets the occasional splash of blood to the face when Andy mutilates himself to fight.
  • The Chosen One: Downplayed, as she wasn't chosen to fulfill some prophecy, but was chosen to receive Unluck. During her fight with Beast in the 101st Loop, she briefly witnesses the souls of several individuals appear alongside her, thanking her for continuing to live on, and saying they were glad that they "picked [her]", implying that they are the previous users of Unluck, supported by Fuuko wondering why specific people are chosen to be Negators in every Loop. It's further downplayed as it turns out this fact applies to all other Negator powers and not just Unluck in particular.
  • Clark Kent Outfit: Her typical outfit in the 101st loop consists of a modest long-sleeved shirt and jeans, which coupled with her face still looking rather youthful makes her look the same as she did before. However, when she's wearing less covering or skin-tight outfits, her actual build is actually toned and muscular, including defined abs.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Fuuko is this in the 101st loop when it comes to human opponents in hand-to-hand combat, as she'll use Unluck to give her opponent small bouts of misfortune to skew things in her favor, especially against opponents that outclass her in terms of raw technique and power. She even explains to Mei that bad luck is a skill on its own.
  • Compressed Hair: Fuuko's hair in the first chapter is long enough to trail on the ground after being unable to get a haircut in 10 years, but the full length was hidden under her clothes and jacket with only the upper part hinting at its true length. Her hair in the 101st loop meanwhile is around knee length when loose, though she also hides the full length under her shirt and/or her bra outside of combat situations.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her power caused the death of her parents when it first emerged, killing them both in a plane crash along with every other passenger on said plane. After multiple incidents afterwards where she ended up hurting others with Unluck, she became depressed and dropped out in middle school to become a shut-in protect the outside world from herself, only holding off on killing herself so she could see the end of her favorite manga.
  • D-Cup Distress: Mentions to Andy’s past self that one of his companions keeps staring at her chest, and comments that "they just get in the way". It's also the reason why she has to wear Gina's old jacket on her waist because it doesn't fit her.
  • Did You Just Scam Cthulhu?: As the leader of Union in the 101st loop, she chooses to pass up on the Roundtable quests given by Apocalypse (the mouthpiece of God) 26 times in a row. By doing so, she invokes the passing penalty that moves time forward by one year each, which allows her to keep Gina, Ichico, and Nico safe and alive for the 2000s when the rest of the Negators gain their powers, with the added bonus of the three not aging in the process. Her gambit not only works, her constant passing ends up frustrating Apocalypse to the point where it gives her quests with rewards (the Remember artifact and the third seat) in her favor.
  • Distressed Damsel: Averts this hard when she's in Under's custody to kill the Spring UMA. Starting with the fact that she went willingly as a bargaining chip to get Billy to kill the Winter UMA, she doesn't just wait around to be rescued. She uses her time with Under to gather information and focus on developing her Unluck abilities on her own.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: Her hair in the 101st loop is once again as long as it was in the very first chapter, which she usually tucks under her shirt to where the upper half exposed resembles a side plait. Fuuko in contrast to the suicidal shut-in she was in the beginning is now both a physically and mentally stronger individual as the new leader of Union.
  • Fiction 500: Becomes this starting the 101st loop and winding up in 1800. Thanks to foreknowledge from the Artifacts, she was able to haggle for land rich with natural resources and became impossibly wealthy off it. Enough that writing out a funding cheque for twenty-five billion dollars in 1972 (which counting for inflation would be about 177.5 billion in 2023 money) is a drop in the ocean and she equally doesn't find any issue with hitting 50 billion to build a rocket.
  • Fish out of Water: Played for Laughs when she has to infiltrate a high school to recruit Chikara. Since her only knowledge of high school comes from manga and delusions, she has no idea how teens her (physical) age actually behave, and has trouble holding back her physical prowess, causing Gina to facepalm a few times. In Chapter 189, Nico actually vetoes Fuuko infiltrating Julia's school because of her track record during Chikara's recruitment and not having any confidence she'll do any better pretending to be a proper lady on top of that.
  • Foil: She and Juiz are as different as they get in looks and disposition, but they're also the only ones that understand each other despite these differences, because they're the only ones to fall in love with Undead. In one flashback, Juiz mentions being eager to meet someone who will understand her like Fuuko eventually did.
  • Geek Physiques: Having spent a period of time as a shut-in, Fuuko at first isn't used to performing active moves, leading to her gaining heavy exhaustion that has her passed out for several days after the first battle with Victor.
  • Guns Akimbo: Though for practical purposes Fuuko usually tends to fire off only one Bad Bullet at a time, when she really needs to unload she pulls out and expertly uses two revolvers simultaneously, such as when she comes crashing in on the Master Rules, in a Call-Back to Andy’s similarly flashy introduction to the Union.
  • Hope Bringer: Fuuko gradually becomes this to not only the Union, but Under as well. Andy just wanted to mess with her at first, but comes to regard the day they met as "the first day of his life". Both the Union and Under see Unluck as a potential trump card in their fight against God, while Fuuko ends up befriending them to the point Billy can't get her to see him with enough hositlity to copy Unluck. Even Victor would go on to see Fuuko as their best hope, make her the Union's leader, and give her the right to Loop. Fuuko's response to all this is to hit the ground running in the 101st Loop, recruiting every Negator she knows, friend and foe alike, and doing so in such a way as to prevent the tragedies that befell them when their Negation Abilities awoke. She does this without Andy on hand to help her directly, and the Union that forms around her gives her their Undying Loyalty, while being more numerous and powerful than any that came before, having thirteen seats to the last Loop's eleven.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: At the start of the series, she's distraught that her Unluck prevented her from living the life of a normal high school girl. She gets more confident and determined to save the world, so it bothers her less as the series goes on, but she'd still love to be normal. In the 101st loop, she's delighted when infiltrating Chikara's high school as a student to recruit him.
  • Important Haircut: She had very long hair that went well past her waist at the start of the series due to her power making it impossible to get it cut by a barber. Andy cutting it for her is what initially endears him to her.
  • In Love with Love: Very fond of romantic manga, and her main regret after falling off a building in the first chapter is that she's never had a relationship. Kururu actually calls this out about her, but by that point she's fallen deeply in love with Andy specifically and has developed out of the habit.
  • In the Back: After the Spring battle, Fuuko is stabbed through the heart from behind by Ruin to get rid of her, leaving her in a limbo state of near death and her being absent for most of the events leading up to Ragnarok.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: The manga translation uses "Fuuko", while the anime subtitles use "Fuko".
  • Irony: In the 101st loop, she has become an unofficial deity known as the "Red Cap of Good Luck" among ramen cooks, due to long-standing legends of her appearing in ramen shops, and if she likes their food, blessing the store with years of prosperity. This is despite her being Unluck, which makes her The Jinx.
  • The Jinx: Anyone who touches her bare skin is guaranteed to have a major bout of misfortune, ranging from mild injury to straight-up death. Said misfortune will also affect anyone who happens to be nearby the unlucky victim, such as the other passengers on the plane her parents were riding.
  • Logical Weakness: Aside from the limitations of physical contact, emotional attachment, and inherent unreliability from being unable to predict what event will happen, Unluck cannot create unfortunate phenomena ex nihilo, only derive and attract it from ‘sources’ found in the environment. Thus, in a literal vacuum, like the space mission to rescue Phil and his mom, Fuuko finds her offensive options greatly limited.
  • Loophole Abuse:
    • One of her ability's activation requirements is she needs to be fond of the target. As Fuuko figures in the 101st loop and the narration notes, this requirement isn't limited to human targets as long as Fuuko has attachment to the target, which leads her to create handmade bullets she's fond of that will invoke Unluck on any targets she hits with them.
    • Since Negator abilities are tied to the soul, the Unluck will target the soul of the person and not necessarily the body. This aspect proves important when she accidentally invokes a strong scale of Unluck on Nico from touching Disc. When Nico's soul is temporarily removed from his body, the Unluck targets his soul, which is left unharmed from Disc crushing the island and able to reunite with his body without issue.
    • Fuuko exploits various rules surrounding Quests and the Union during her leadership of the Union in the 101st loop. One of the first things we see her do is simply pass on Apocalypse's quests, using the penalty of one year passing by outside the Round Table Room as a means of quickly reaching the points in time she wants to be at without risking her team in unnecessary quests and only accepting a quest once they're at the right point in time and the rewards are worthwhile. Later, when the Union has more members than it does Round Table Seats, Fuuko exploits the fact that the points that award a seat at the table are transferrable, moving them to whichever Union members she wants or needs for a given quest in and out of the seats as needed.
  • Kiss of Death: Kissing someone she likes causes an extreme bout of Unluck to occur, often resulting in the target being struck by meteors. Downplayed if it's a person she isn't fond of, like her creepy-looking grandpa, who only sprained his legs after being kissed.
  • Magical Barefooter: Her unshod feet aren’t exactly her first choice of conduit for her Unluck, but they work just as well in a pinch like the duel with Billy aboard Disc, as she can surreptitiously play it off as getting better footing at the high altitudes.
  • Magic Hair: Played with. While Fuuko's hair isn't magical in itself, touching it still counts for Unluck's activation requirement as she couldn't get it cut by someone else without risking them getting killed in the first chapter. In the 101st loop, she weaponizes her long hair to cause more controlled bouts of Unluck against human opponents. However, Fuuko's cut hair is dangerous because it works on similar principles to her Bad Bullets once no longer connected to her body, as a stray lock cut from Sick's attack touching Rip summons a meteorite.
  • Meaningful Name: Fuuko's given name starts with the kanji 風, meaning "kaze," or wind in English. 風の吹き回し (kaze-no-fuki-mawashi) is a Japanese idiom that's used to describe a stroke of luck, referencing her power, Unluck.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Despite being a shut-in for most of her childhood, she's shown to be very well-endowed. In the Unrepair Arc, she's thrust into wearing several revealing dresses that were all handpicked by Andy. Come the 101st loop, she also is quite muscular on top of said well-endowed figure, which is more apparent when she's wearing less covering or skin-tight outfits that accentuate this.
  • Never Bareheaded: She's always wearing a "Good Luck" labeled beanie, and only removed it on certain occasions. Justified as her hair is a valid trigger for Unluck.
  • Nice Girl: She's a very friendly person who wants to help people and prevent anymore suffering from the rule system affecting the world.
  • Older Than They Look: Fuuko in the 101st loop physically appears to be a woman in her twenties (although she's actually far older than that due to looping), but her overall face still looks similar to when she was 18 to the point she can easily pose as a high school student.
  • The Paragon: Fuuko is described as a 'beacon of hope', and her kindness, determination, and capacity to meet everyone at their level constantly inspires others to grow and develop. In fact, her death in the original version of the Autumn fight caused a Bad Future resulting in the ultimate end of the Union. Juiz decides because of this aspect of her to make Fuuko the new first seat and thus leader of the Union for the 101st loop.
  • Paranormal Gambling Advantage: She makes liberal usage of her Unluck in various ways during the matches against Spring, culminating in her victory in the final dice roll.
  • Pointless Bandaid: She has one on her right cheek in her appearance in the 101st loop. It's one of her other ways of activating small scales of Unluck when it's stuck to someone, as demonstrated in her match with Void.
  • The Power of Love: A variant. If she touches someone she's very fond of, or she's touched in a way that she considers very intimate, the ensuing unluck is even worse than usual, being something like getting struck by lightning or getting hit by a meteor. Andy mainly uses this to their advantage, however, by setting up situations where the Unluck ends hurting their opponents rather than them.
  • Punny Name: Her name in Japanese order, Izumo Fuuko, sounds a lot like the phrase "itsumo fukou," which means "always unlucky" in Japanese.
  • Rebuilt Pedestal: After learning everything about Akira Kuno, she is extremely respectful and grateful for his actions to avert the Bad Future he saw.
  • Recruitment by Rescue: Her main method of picking up Negators in the 101st loop for her new Union, usually by preventing or altering the precise details of the inherent ‘tragedy’ that occurs when they gain their ability. Though she’s clear on the fact that just because she helps out doesn’t create an obligation, and tries to persuade them by other means. In fact, she even initially gave up on recruiting Chikara because she wanted him to pursue his dream of being a photographer, although Chikara still joins anyway after being informed by Sean.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Played with. At the outset, Fuuko is involuntarily dangerous thanks to Unluck, and would really rather she wasn't. As she learns how to weaponize her power, however, she becomes actively dangerous, especially in the 101st loop where she's able to invoke the scale of Unluck she needs in a situation without Andy.
  • Self-Made Orphan: Her power caused the death of both her parents when she was eight, killing them in a plane crash both and leaving her an orphan.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: The other members of the Union often refer to her and Andy as a couple (with Nico even making their forged passes for the black market auction pose them as a married couple), and each time she denies that this is the case. That being said, she does get passive-aggressive toward Andy referring to Yusai as an ex-girlfriend as a joke. Though by Loop 101, she’s comfortable with the obvious, and when talking with Rip before his wedding(s), she rather straightforwardly accepts his characterization of their partnership as romantic.
  • The Shut-In: Before she tried to kill herself in the first chapter, she spent years as one due to her ability out of fear she'll hurt or kill someone.
  • Significant Birth Date: Her birthday according to the official Twitter account is July 7th, the start date of Tanabata, the festival that celebrates the meeting of Orihime and Hikoboshi who are separated by the Milky Way. It plays into her ability being influenced by The Power of Love and her like of the romance genre, as well as a nod to the fact her ability can potentially summon meteorites in the right circumstances. The 101st loop then further plays into it as Fuuko and Andy end up quite literally separated by space as Andy is on the Sun keeping the Superior Rules inside the Master Room for the Union.
  • Signature Headgear: A red beanie with a "Good Luck" label plastered on it.
  • Significant Wardrobe Shift: Fuuko's default outfit in the 101st loop is a long-sleeved shirt that spells "Good Luck" on it paired with slightly ripped jeans, with her Union tie now tied to her right arm instead while still keeping her beanie and gloves. It signifies Fuuko has grown stronger on her own both physically and mentally as the new leader of the Union after looping.
  • Taking the Bullet: She throws herself in front of Rip's scalpel when he attempts to kill Chikara. Due to Unrepair, this put her at risk of bleeding to death until the ability was stopped.
  • This Looks Like a Job for Aquaman: Downplayed. Her Negator ability is useful, but Unluck's unpredictable factor on top of its factors being determined by how much she likes a person makes it difficult to use effectively without Andy. Fuuko confesses in Chapter 70 this aspect makes her feel she isn't pulling her own weight in their partnership, which is why she willingly goes to fight Spring, an UMA with an Artifact that manipulates luck. She begins to actively avert this trope come the 101st loop and is shown to be able to now be able to use Unluck and have more control over what scale of Unluck occurs when she needs it using specialized bullets. However, she ends up having to leave neutralizing Autumn to Gina because of Autumn's regenerative factor and the risk of causing secondary disasters if she tried the scale of Unluck needed to kill Autumn.
  • Time Skip: Got up to some interesting things in the 170-odd years she waited to recruit the 101st loop's Union members, including haggling for land rich in natural resources early on, making her Fiction 500 by 1972, defeating a young Feng and forcing him to make an agreement with her (the terms of which include him not killing anyone and one match between the two of them for each UMA he defeats) and becoming known as the "Red Cap of Good Luck" in the ramen shop community. She's also gotten a lot stronger to where she's able to solo Heat without issue due to being able to better utilize Unluck on her own.
    • It becomes an Invoked Trope later when she begins quests again. Using the penalty on passing quests of the world skipping forward a year outside of the Roundtable room, she is able to take the older generation of Negators (Gina, Ichico, Nico) to the 2000s where Billy's group and other Negators get their powers without having to go by The Slow Path. She does it again after recruiting other Negators to skip 16 years to 2015 to further prevent any losses while waiting to reach the remaining Negators.
  • Took a Level in Badass: She starts the series as an insecure, suicidal shut-in, but grows to become a strong-willed determined Union member ready to put her life on the line for the sake of her friends. By the time she's shown in the 101st loop in 1972, she's able to defeat both Heat and a younger Feng by herself.
  • Touch of Death: Played with. Her ability can manifest as one, but depending on the circumstances (which is how much she likes the person and how long she touches them), it can lead to less fatal results. However, she and Andy do exploit the trope by deliberately causing a huge burst of Unluck onto Andy, and making sure their opponent gets caught in the crossfire.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: According to her Volume 2 profile, she likes sushi without wasabi. Due to having eaten Enjin's ramen, she also became a fan of ramen to the point where she became known as an unofficial deity of fortune among ramen shops in the 101st loop.
  • Tragic Keepsake:
    • After their battle with Gina, Fuuko takes her jacket to remember her by. A volume 2 extra shows that this is the same jacket she wears as part of her Union uniform. The reason she has it tied around her waist is because it doesn't quite fit. She returns it to a younger Gina in the 101st loop.
    • While not outright stated, her Signature Headgear beanie is also this because it used to belong to her grandfather, who passed away when she was in middle school.
  • Tragic Dropout: She decided to drop out of middle school halfway through on account of the isolation, danger, and depression Unluck brought, on top of her grandfather passing away around said time. She does sort of end up graduating high school during the mission to recruit Chikara in the 101st loop, but by that point she’s gained so much experience over the centuries it’s more of an emotional accomplishment than anything of educational value.
  • Tranquil Fury: After Ragnarok destroys Earth and Luna twists the knife by pointing out how much pain Andy is in between loops, Fuuko gives them the angriest, most determined Death Glare she's ever been seen with, and swears she and her friends will negate Sun and Luna in the next loop.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: Anyone who comes in contact with her skin, whether accidentally or on purpose, will suffer catastrophic bad luck. She can't control what exactly happens, but learns how to better guess what strokes of bad luck could happen as time goes on. Through experimenting in the 101st loop, Fuuko can now use physical objects such as bullets and her hair to invoke the scale of Unluck she needs in a situation, although she still can't predict exactly what will end up happening, such as her bullet intended to invoke a meteorite impact event summoning Feng instead.
  • The Wonka: As head of the Union in the 101st loop, Fuuko’s leadership style and plans of action are significantly more unorthodox and personally daring than Juiz’s administration, often inspiring bafflement at their sheer insanity, usually from Nico. Nonetheless, she succeeds more than she fails, and inspires a huge amount of loyalty simply because she’s so much fun.
  • You Are in Command Now: Victor transfers his points from completing quests and capturing/killing UMA to Fuuko, making her the number 1 within the Union. This is done to enable Fuuko to loop, with her and Juiz noting that she didn't gain the points herself, but regardless she's the boss of the New Union.

"To be born and experience death- the greatest form of change... Man, it sounds so sick!"

The male lead of the story, a strange, muscular man that takes great interest in Fuuko's Unluck, as he believes it may be the key to a permanent death. His Undead ability allows him to negate his own death, making him immortal and allowing him to regenerate from any injury.

He is currently working for the Union as the roundtable's number 9 Negator.

  • Awesomeness by Analysis: He's got quite a quick wit, being able to figure out the powers and rules of other Negators and UMAs with little trouble and time.
  • Barrier Maiden: Andy in the 101st loop has been on the Sun keeping the upper Master Rules from being able to leave outside quests and preventing them from appearing in quests so the Union can focus on getting stronger to prepare for them.
  • Been There, Shaped History: Though we haven't seen the specifics yet, it is heavily implied that Andy had something to do with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. He also states he picked up the fundamentals of manga production when Tezuka was pioneering the industry.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: No matter how grim the situation, he always seems to be having a blast and thinking of fun things to do at the locations he travels to.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Sick. Wicked sick!"
  • Character Development: At the beginning of the series, he only seemed to care about finding a way to permanently die, establishing a relationship with Fuuko and joining the Union solely in order to achieve that goal. As the series progresses, however, he quickly begins to form a genuine bond with Fuuko, and his short time with the Union causes him to change his mindset in regards to what Negators can do once they gain their powers.
"I met you and joined the Union on a whim... but now that I've gotten to know those guys, I've changed my mind. You don't need to accept, give up or double down on anything... You can fight."
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Andy can act pretty composed and even calm at times. Every other time? Off his rocker, to say the least.
  • Clothing Damage: Though Andy can regenerate, his clothes can't, and he spends much of the early chapters nude after getting run over/blown up/what have you. He eventually wrangles an UMA into creating a self-repairing suit, much to Fuuko's relief.
  • Combat Pragmatist: While he already had little compunctions in using whatever tactics or means to win battles from the moment he's introduced, he has even less qualms using whatever he needs to win as time goes on. Whether exploiting Billy's less potent copy of Undead to get him to release his Unchange barrier lest he drown, interfering with the final round against Spring by enabling the others to attack him, or destroying the parts of Nico's lab which helps him remember his late wife to interfere with his concentration.
  • Complete Immortality: His power makes it impossible for him to die under normal circumstances, and his initial goal in the series is to find a way to die permanently.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Andy in the beginning had no issue with suggesting having sex with Fuuko to test if it would bring a stroke of Unluck able to kill him. However, when Fuuko tries to initiate sex in order to see if her feelings of gratitude toward Andy would have the resulting Unluck kill either him or Shen despite still being unsure if she actually likes him or not, Andy after the fact tells her he's not rotten enough to have sex with a desperate woman and sternly tells her to never do a stunt like that again.
  • Fake Memories: In the Autumn Arc, Anno Un places Fuuko's soul into Andy's memories, creating an alternate set of memories for Andy where he and Fuuko met MUCH earlier in his life. These fake memories don't overtake the originals, however, though they do allow Andy to develop more techniques and uses for his ability due to Fuuko's influence.
  • Feel No Pain: Zigzagged according to the Volume 2 extras. He does technically feel pain, but it's mere background noise to him at this point, since his "true" pain will be the pain of death.
  • Full-Frontal Assault: In early chapters, due to his regeneration not applying to his clothing, he often fought completely nude, which didn't stop him from kicking ass at all. After obtaining UMA Clothes as his uniform, this stops happening for the most part.
  • Gag Censor: When he fights fully bared, his crotch is obscured by a floating squared-shape static.
  • Good Thing You Can Heal: Teaming up with Fuuko results in a long series of creative ways for Andy to get horribly mangled and then return from the brink of death. This also makes him the only person that can safely be around her.
  • Hey, You!: In the beginning, he never refers to Fuuko or anyone by name with few exceptions and often referred to her as "brat" in his mind and to others, emphasizing his detachment from others. It's after the Spoil arc that Andy begins to consistently call Fuuko by name (which she immediately notices) and eventually carries this over to the rest of the Union, signifying him growing to care about them.
  • Humble Goal: While "having the greatest death ever" is his overall goal, his real goal is much, much simpler: he just wants to die of old age after a long, happy life.
  • Iaijutsu Practitioner: As expected of a katana wielder, one of his special moves is "Repair Boost: Crimson Crescent Moon" that combines his "Parts Bullet: Fist" move with impaling the katana inside it, allowing him to draw and slice through somebody faster than the eye can see.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Undead negates death of old age, and he specifically stopped aging physically in his mid-twenties according to the Volume 2 extras.
  • In-Series Nickname: "Andy" is technically a nickname Fuuko gave him when they first met since he claimed to not remember his. He shows clear distaste for the name but lets Fuuko call him that for the sake of convenience. However, he introduces himself as Andy to Lucy in Chapter 99 and fully accepts Andy as his name in Chapter 124.
  • Insistent Terminology: Is very particular about not being called a zombie; by his logic, zombies have to die once and be reanimated, and he's a person who can't die in the first place.
  • Irony: Early on, Andy calls Fuuko a pushover that would easily fall in love with him. Andy actually takes being away from Fuuko while she's a willing hostage for Under worse than she does being apart from him, spending three straight days anxiously waiting for her to contact the Union.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's abrasive, loud, and not very respectful of Fuuko's personal space, especially in the beginning, but he also genuinely cares about Fuuko and her well-being and is shown multiple times to be more compassionate than he normally acts.
  • Loophole Abuse: Juiz theorizes Andy's entire existence is one; Undead negates the rule of death for the user, so when Victor was sealed away with Remember using the reset function, leaving him a mentally dead Empty Shell, Undead created an alter ego with none of Victor's memories to revive said body.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Carries around an indestructible katana made by Unbreakable that he stole from a Union goon. Any sheath would get destroyed given how he fights, so he stores it in his body.
  • Mad Eye: Justified. The card in his forehead prevents his left eye from opening fully, making him look somewhat unhinged at times. Notably, it's still present even after Remember is removed from it.
  • Magic Pants: Averted. Regular clothes don't regenerate with him, so he spends a good part of the early chapters nude during his fights. He eventually gets himself clothes that regenerate with him.
  • Mirror Character: He's one to Victor, his original personality. Both were burdened with the guilt and pain of living while everyone else around them died due to Undead and find their "beacon of hope" in someone they love (Fuuko for Andy and Juiz for Victor), which both are incredibly protective over. Where Andy differs from Victor is he's able to change to become a more optimistic person able to believe in others and gaining the resolve to protect Fuuko and everything she cares about, becoming a stronger person in the process.
  • My Suit Is Also Super: His Union uniform is actually UMA Clothes, who can regenerate just like his body does.
  • Name Amnesia: When Fuuko asks him for his name, he claims to not remember it, which leads her to name him "Andy". As Victor's alter ego, he technically never had a name to begin with.
  • No Brows: He lacks eyebrows, giving him a Neanderthal-type look despite being quite intelligent.
  • Noodle Incident: His earliest memory being on April 15, 1865 and Fuuko ending up in front of Ford's Theatre heavily implies Andy had some involvement in Abraham Lincoln's assassination, although Victor ends up forcing Fuuko out of the memory before anything is made clear or certain.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Andy doesn't seem to have any lecherous intent toward Fuuko, but he's very willing to touch her inappropriately to trigger her Unluck early on. A bystander in the first chapter even thought he was assaulting her. He notably stops doing this after spending more time with Fuuko and growing to care about her.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Andy spends most of the Spoil Arc refusing to remove his card and subsequently release Victor, only doing so as a last resort to defeat UMA Spoil and under the condition that Shen keep Fuuko safe. When Fuuko is hit by one of Rip's scalpels, dooming her to bleed out lest Rip die first, Andy immediately reaches up to remove the card and unleash hell upon the Negator Hunters, only stopping when Fuuko reassures him that she is still okay.
    • This happens again after Fuuko turns herself in to Under to prevent the planet from freezing due to UMA Winter. While he is initially extremely determined to retrieve her, he's later shown waiting anxiously for her to contact the Union, which doesn't go unnoticed by the other Union members.
    • Ruin is capable of getting this reaction out of Andy pretty easily considering he's made it his mission to kill Fuuko for God and is introduced having nearly done just that. Andy wastes no time trying to kill him, which Shen noted is something he doesn't actually like doing, and is frequently seen with angry veins on his face every time he's nearby.
  • Power Limiter: The card jammed into his forehead acts a "cork" that keeps his hundred years' worth of memories bottled up, as he'd otherwise go wild trying to handle it all. It's also the only thing to keep him from reverting back to Victor. The card is actually the Artifact Remember, which Juiz put on Victor to seal him away when he tried to kill her to stop her from continuing the loops and suffering further. After Victor voluntarily seals himself away in the 101st Loop, Andy no longer has it in his forehead, the artifact now on Earth again.
  • Punny Name: Fuuko names him Andy because he's "An-dead".
  • Put on a Bus: After looping, Andy travels the world to hunt down as many artifacts as he can find while the focus turns to Fuuko leading the new Union. Fuuko hasn't seen or heard anything from him ever since she looped despite having wandered the earth for more than a century, to where him sending a clone is the first contact she's had with him. It turns out he's been on Sun keeping the Master Rules from leaving the Master Room and therefore preventing them from coming to Earth outside of quests.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Apparently over 200 years old, according to Shen. If you count the amount of years Victor has lived, he's actually much, much older.
  • Scars Are Forever: He has two prominent scars; one on his forehead where the card is jammed and the other where his heart is, both which stay on him despite recovering from everything else. Both wounds were given to Victor in the last fight he had with Juiz, indicating why the scars remained is because of the state Victor was in as his memories were sealed away by Remember. Artwork of him in the chapters following the loop however do show him without the scar on his forehead due to no longer having Remember jammed into it, although his clone's appearance in the 101st loop shows the stab scar still remains.
  • Shameless Fanservice Guy: Doesn't give a damn about Clothing Damage constantly rendering him naked, or even how uncomfortable this makes Fuuko and others.
  • Significant Birth Date: According to the official Twitter account, Andy considers April 15th, the date of his earliest memory, his birthday. This date is both the date President Abraham Lincoln called for the 75,000 Volunteers to quell the insurrection that began the American Civil War and also the date he was assassinated on four years later, two events that served as the backdrop of Andy's early years in the Reconstruction era.
  • Soul Power: By the 101st loop, Andy has enough control over his soul to be able to seal away the upper Master Rules on the Sun and prevent them from interfering with the Union outside of quests, even being able to hold off the first seat Soul while constraining the other nine upper Master Rules.
  • Split Personality: Andy is an alter ego created when Victor was sealed away by Remember to get around the effects of the artifact who's more or less become a separate person from Victor.
  • Stepford Smiler: While he's introduced as a rather boisterous and nonchalant individual, Andy admits in truth quite a bit of this came as a coping mechanism realizing he couldn't die on top of the crushing guilt of having to outlive everyone he grew to care for, even resorting to suicide as a means to feel alive, and it wasn't until meeting Fuuko that he began to have hope.
  • Thanks for the Mammary: In his first meeting with Fuuko, he tries to find ways to experiment how her Unluck works by touching her body, including fondling her chest.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: He's introduced wearing only pants and defaults back to it when he temporarily leaves the Union to chase after Ruin. Fuuko theorizes this happened because Andy started getting less particular about going topless at some point in his long existence.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: His main motivation is finding a way to die permanently after being alive for centuries. Unlike most examples, though, Andy isn't angsty about his powers; he just wants to experience death for himself. Or at least that's how it appears; in reality, a lot of how Andy projects himself is his way of coping with the knowledge he can't ever die.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Rip reincarnating into a child doesn't deter Andy from decking him right in the face without hesitation for what he did to Fuuko.

Undead

Andy's negation ability, which negates the rule of death for himself, granting him immortality and a strong regeneration ability. While it seems simple on the surface, it has quite a varied move pool and can be used in all sorts of creative ways.
  • Achilles' Heel: When battling Shen's former master, Feng, it's revealed that Undead can only kick in on fatal wounds (or at least wounds that make him bleed). However, smaller injuries like dislocation will not regenerate as his body does not see it as causing potential death.
  • Bloody Murder: Undead has several different blood-related techniques, all of which are very powerful. They were developed by Victor initially, but Andy later learned to do them as well.
    • With Deadline, the user creates whips of pressurized blood powerful enough to slice a cityscape into pieces.
    • With Dead Vulcan, the user can shoot powerful bullets of blood from his broken fingertips.
    • With Dead Blade, the user solidifies his own blood to create makeshift blades which are shown to be quite dense and sharp.
    • With Deadroad, the user can fire off a giant spiral beam of blood at opponents.
  • Body Horror: Holy god, yes. Andy's usual methods of combat come down to mangling and destroying his body in creative ways to attack the enemy, such as his 'Parts Bullet' technique, which also comes with copious and excessive amounts of blood splatter. One notable fight has him caught by 'Unchange' and held in place, only for him to point out it's only touching the front half of his body and pulling away with the back half, ripping off all the skin held in place, without any Gory Discretion Shot.
  • Clone Army: Victor's "Division Bullet" attack is this, in which he fires off his severed fingers and regenerates a partially complete body from them, creating temporary clones that can attack on his behalf. Andy in the 101th loop has learned how to send a fully functional remote clone that lasts for a minute.
  • Complete Immortality: Undead makes it impossible for the user to die under normal circumstances. Even the world being destroyed by God isn't enough to kill Victor.
  • Death or Glory Attack: Andy's "Crimson Bullet" attack, in which he focuses on generating all the blood and calcium he's lost into a single finger bullet, making it incredibly powerful and deadly, but also impairing his regeneration ability, effectively taking him out of the fight once used.
  • Detachment Combat: Andy's "Parts Bullet" technique involves him partially severing a limb then rapidly regrowing it to shoot off the old limb as a projectile. The force of said projectile is enough to pierce clean through a man's head while he's wearing power armor.
  • Healing Factor:
    • Undead negates any injuries that can lead directly to death, allowing Andy to come back from practically anything. This includes large injuries like being sliced in half, decapitated, incinerated, and even taking a direct hit from a meteor, alongside smaller things like minor cuts and scrapes. Andy himself is a consequence of this as Juiz theorizes his creation was a phenomenon from Undead trying to get around the effects of Remember sealing Victor away, in other words negating Death of Personality into a mentally dead Empty Shell by creating an alter ego without any of Victor's memories.
    • There is a limitation to the healing, however; the ability will only heal things that could directly lead to death, like bleeding, amputation, and even sickness. Non-fatal injuries, on the other hand, no matter how grave or debilitating, do not fall under the ability's specifications, so dislocated bones and injuries of that sort remain unhealed entirely.
  • Kill It with Fire: Heavily downplayed. Andy can regenerate from fire-based attacks, but he regenerates more slowly.
  • Logical Weakness: The natural solution to an immortal opponent is constraint tactics that make him unable to properly regenerate, making abilities like Gina’s Unchange and UMA Seal particularly threatening counters. Another subtlety is that Undead is not technically a regeneration ability at all, but the negation of phenomena that lead to death. That can be very liberally interpreted as anything that could potentially cause the user to die (Feng noting that a small cut could lead to a potentially fatal infection for example), but something like a shoulder dislocation, which is inconvenient but doesn’t even result in bleeding, doesn’t necessarily qualify.
  • Losing Your Head: The ability makes decapitation a non-issue. Andy even decapitates himself to fight occasionally, either by using "Parts Bullet Head" or by allowing Fuuko to toss his head around and unleash some Unluck on their foes.
  • Not Quite Flight: By selectively healing at various locations of his body, Andy can utilize High-Pressure Blood though his exposed veins as a form of Recoil Boost, letting him jet through the air at high speeds or launch himself In a Single Bound onto and across rooftops.
  • Recoil Boost: A decent portion of techniques Andy has developed involve using either Detachment Combat or High-Pressure Blood to move and attack with Super-Speed that he can't achieve through normal movement, including turning his body parts into functional high-speed bullets, using Iaijutsu Practitioner moves, or performing a Spin Attack that can slaughter a horde of zombies in seconds.
  • Rocket Punch: Andy's "Parts Bullet Fist" move is this. By cutting off a hand most of the way, he can cause it to shoot from his arm with an explosive force powerful enough to blow up jets.
  • Semantic Superpower: Undead is influenced by how Andy thinks it works. For example, he always used to start regenerating from the head because he equated "death" with "the head being destroyed", but after the Autumn arc, he realizes the power's flexibility and becomes able to regenerate starting with any body part.

    Victor/Victhor (Spoilers

Victor/Victhor

Power: Undead

Voiced by: Yuichi Nakamura (JP), Ben Balmaceda (ENG)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/victor_full_body.png

"I don't know who told you about me. But I am Victor- a human. Not Thor- Not God!"

Andy's original personality, who only comes out when the card in his head is removed for an extended period of time.

  • A God I Am Not: Shen calls him "Victhor," as in the god of thunder, Thor, when the two meet face to face. Victor corrects him, telling him he is indeed a human before beating him to a pulp.
  • Bad with the Bone: None of his clones have a sword to fight with, so they instead use their sharpened arm bones as blades.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: He wants for Juiz to die so she can finally forget about him and trying to kill God to live a normal life. It ultimately does happen when Juiz sacrifices herself to stall Sun for Fuuko to loop, but it only serves to enrage Victor rather than offer any closure or joy as he realizes just how much she meant to him.
  • Belated Love Epiphany: He always loved Juiz, but never truly understood how much she meant to him until after her death. In his own words, despite living multiple timelines, Juiz's constant presence meant he never truly lost anything precious until that moment.
  • Blood Knight: He seems to only care about fighting good fights, and is actively annoyed when opponents pull more defensive moves.
  • Defiant to the End: He's last seen during the 100th loop's Ragnarok fighting off Sun to the bitter end until Earth is completely engulfed by the sun before fully relinquishing control to Andy.
  • Despair Event Horizon: He hit this around the beginning of Juiz' 100th loop after realizing Juiz wouldn't stop trying to kill God and suffering for it so Victor could finally die despite having failed to kill God 99 times at that point. It ultimately culminated to Victor trying to kill Juiz when they went to get Remember so she would be able to spend the last loop peacefully.
  • Expendable Clone: He can easily replace dead clones by simply firing off more "Parts Bullet" fingers, so he doesn't care about their deaths, and they aren't afraid to die.
  • Fallen Hero: He was a founding member of the Union in past loops alongside Juiz, and, due to his power allowing him to survive Ragnarøk, he was a recurring member across several different loops as well. However, at some point, he broke off from the Union after realizing it was impossible to kill God...or rather, Juiz sealed him away with Remember in the 100th loop after he tried to kill her and inadvertently created Andy in the process.
  • Fusion Dance: Fuses with Rebellion after being enraged by Juiz's death to empower his attacks to hold off Sun for the last three minutes needed for Fuuko to loop. It's implied he's done this in the past, but was never able to draw out the same level of power until now.
  • Graceful Loser: As he's about to be destroyed by several meteors, he smiles to himself as he realizes that it's been a while since someone actually beat him.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Nico uses his drones to bisect him vertically, though it's short-lived due to his healing factor. That said, it takes a bit longer for him to recover because the drones burned his body.
  • Hey, You!: Victor notably avoids referring to Andy by any sort of name when they interact in the mind, in part because he doesn't at first acknowledge or think much about Andy after watching him "wasting his time away" in his opinion for over a century. So when Victor refers to Andy by "Andy" during Ragnarok when he requests to be able to fight alongside Juiz one last time in exchange for letting Andy be the dominant personality for the next loop, it highlights Victor acknowledges Andy's strength.
  • Hidden Depths: When talking to Andy, Juiz describes Victor as someone faint of heart for someone unable to die and flashbacks to earlier loops reveal Victor used to be on good terms with the other Union members. Despite his expressed cynicism about allies to Juiz during one loop, it's also evident Victor was shaken having to watch their allies die constantly and that only further drove him into nihilism and despair throughout constant failures to slay God.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: The main difference between Victor and his clones is that his clones lack his prominent forehead scar.
  • I Hate Past Me: Victor comments how Andy and Fuuko remind him of himself and Juiz in the past, which is further supported by Juiz's flashbacks to earlier loops before their falling out revealing Victor was indeed quite a bit like Andy. Some of his initial disdain at Andy may be directed at not only feeling Andy was wasting his life trying to find a way to die but also because he hates a reminder of the person he used to be.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: There's a bit of confusion surrounding Victor's name that David Evelyn, the series' translator, addressed on Twitter. Basically, the WSJ version of chapter 16 was titled "Victor," so David used that name when translating the series. Volume 2's version of chapter 16, however, is titled "Victhor," which is what the Union actually calls him during their fight. That said, both names are technically correct; "Victor" is what Andy calls him and what Victor calls himself, while "Victhor" is what the Union calls him.
  • Just Toying with Them: His fight with Andy in the Autumn arc demonstrates he's fully capable of leveling a city with ease, implying he was holding back during the fight with the Union in the Spoil arc, which Shen also notes during the Sun battle seeing him fight at his full capabilities.
  • Kill the Ones You Love: His motivation to destroy the Union isn't out of anything malevolent, but more of not wanting his lover to keep being miserable and dying in the end anyway. But when Juiz's death finally happens, he's anything but happy or relieved.
  • Mirror Character: Victor has a lot of similarities to Andy in part due to Andy being Victor's alter ego despite the apparent differences at first blush. Both were burdened with the guilt and pain of living while everyone else around them died due to Undead and find their "beacon of hope" in someone they love (Fuuko for Andy and Juiz for Victor). Victor is if Andy didn't have the courage to face his feelings and the optimism to believe in others, as Victor ends up hitting Despair Event Horizon and tries to kill Juiz out of a misguided effort to end her suffering for his sake (not realizing Juiz is doing everything in part for Victor to smile again), only realizing too late just how much she meant to him after she sacrifices herself to hold off Sun.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Victor almost never smiles whenever he appears aside from fighting. Flashbacks of Juiz's earlier loops reveal this wasn't always the case until repeated failures to kill God embittered him to the point he started to even doubt it was possible. Juiz's motivations to keep going were in fact partly because she wanted to see Victor smile again.
  • Power Makes Your Hair Grow: Andy's transformation into the more powerful Victor results in his white hair turning black and growing out incredibly long. It's implied to be because Victor was sealed away by Remember when his hair was cut, which is why Andy has short hair.
  • Put on a Bus: In exchange for Andy letting him fight beside Juiz one final time before the 100th Loop ended, Victor voluntarily sealed himself away inside of Andy in the 101st Loop, Andy no longer requiring the use of Remember to retain control.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Victor's motivation for wanting Juiz dead was because he believed killing God was impossible for them to accomplish and not wanting her to keep trying and failing. As the 101st loop reveals, Victor's assumption was partly correct; because neither he nor Juiz had predecessors as first generation Negators looping for billions of years, they could never fully grasp the concept of souls, the rule key to actually winning against the rules and God.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: As the original personality, his regeneration is better than Andy's, he's stronger and better at fighting than Andy, and he's much nastier and more violent than Andy.
  • Time Abyss: The Round Table can only send one person back per loop, so it would always have to be Juiz since Undead lets Victor survive Ragnarok, leaving him to take the long way back. By the end of the hundredth loop, it’s revealed he’s been living for cumulatively 455 billion years.
  • Villain Respect:
    • He's impressed by the Union during their fight, saying that he considers them to be good opponents. He later gains some for Fuuko after she manages to defeat him with her Unluck, calling her "one hell of a gal" as she jams the card back into his head.
    • During the Autumn Arc, his respect for Andy and Fuuko grows even higher as he witnesses the two's growth in power and realizes they might actually be able to do what he and Juiz could not and actually kill God.
    • By the time Ragnarok comes about, he transfers over his points to Fuuko so she can take the first seat and be able to loop. He also tells Andy he'll stay dormant for the next loop in exchange for allowing to fight by Juiz' side one last time.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Juiz, though it's implied they were lovers as well. The two formed the Union together in an early loop and worked for thousands of years and across multiple loops together in the quest to kill god. Eventually, they had a falling out over whether it was even possible to achieve such a goal, with Victor tired of seeing Juiz suffer trying, leading to the end of their relationship as comrades and him wanting her dead to put her out of her misery in his eyes. The result was Juiz using Remember to seal away Victor and creating Andy in the process.
