The recently-crowned Queen of Arendelle. A troubled young woman who fled into the mountains to prevent her ice powers from hurting her loved ones, Elsa soon finds a kindred spirit in Riku.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Massively downplayed. Though her personality remains unchanged, Elsa isn't considered a candidate for a Princess of Heart, instead possessing a regular amount of darkness in her heart much like any other person. Thus, instead of protecting her for her heart of pure light, the Organization tries to push her to succumb to darkness with the intent of turning her into a Heartless and recruiting her as a Nobody.
- But Now I Must Go: At the end of the Arendelle arc, Elsa leaves in a self-imposed exile in part due to her ongoing struggles with darkness, but also due to the fear and resentment from her citizens. She takes this opportunity to explore the outside world and join the heroes in their battle against the Organization.
- Commonality Connection: Quickly bonds with Riku over their shared hardships; namely their struggles in controlling their powers and how they both ran away out of fear of hurting their loved ones.
- The Dreaded: The Organization knows to fear Elsa for her power.
- Foil: To Riku. Both are lost souls who ran away out of fear of hurting their loved ones. Additionally, both struggled with controlling their powers before coming to terms with their insecurities and accepting their "darkness" as part of themselves.
- I Am a Monster: As the only one in her family with magical powers, Elsa originally believed herself to be a Heartless or on the verge of becoming one. She dropped this mindset just prior to meeting Riku.
- An Ice Person: Wields immense power over ice.
- Ms. Fanservice: Her dress accentuates her figure, which Riku notices.
- Platonic Life-Partners: With Riku. Despite their closeness, their connection remains purely platonic due to Riku's relationship with Kairi as well as the age gap between them.
- Tranquil Fury: As cold as ice and composed like the calm before the storm. This is best shown when she sends a direct threat to Xemnas.Xemnas...I'm coming for you.
- True Companions: With Riku. They bond over their shared struggles and Elsa refuses to let him face his darkness alone. This is cemented when she knowingly puts her life at risk by directly threatening the Organization on his behalf.Let them listen. It doesn't matter. We should never face our darkness alone. - Face–Monster Turn: Elsa getting stabbed with a shard of Nahxs' enchanted glass transforms her into Dark Elsa.
- The Heartless: Is in danger of becoming one thanks to the corruption infecting her heart.

KILL HIM! KILL HIM! KILL HIM! KILL HIM! KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL - My God, What Have I Done?: Suffers a brief Villainous B So D when she inadvertedly freezes Riku's heart.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives a scathing one to Anna. You never let me go. Always clawing at my door, driving me insane. You didn't want a sister; you wanted a toy. You'd wake me in the middle of the night, demanding we'd build a snowman. You'd push me harder and harder... Until I finally pushed back.
Don't you see, Anna? All this darkness… All this rage that I've hidden for so long; it's all because of you. Why couldn't you stay dead? - Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her pupils turn scarlet when her heart is infected by Nahxs' magic.
- Tainted Veins: In conjunction with the above, dark veins begin crawling from below her eyes, eventually spreading down her neck.
- Tranquil Fury: She starts off this way upon her confrontation with Anna before devolving into screams of rage at the sight of Hans.

- Break the Cutie: The events of the story are not kind to her. See Trauma Conga Line below for further details.
- It's All My Fault: Due to Dark Elsa's abusive words, Anna believed herself responsible for all of her sister's suffering.
- Large Ham: Perhaps the hammiest princess in Kingdom Hearts history.
- Love at First Sight: Deconstructed. The man who Anna agreed to marry a day after they met is a Nobody who is not only incapable of reciprocating her love, but is actively exploiting her desire for romance for his own purposes. Even Kairi, who had yet to see Hans' true colours, encouraged Anna to slow down.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: In the end, Elsa freezes her own heart to rid herself of Nahxs' influence, and Anna is left wailing and sobbing over her sister's frozen corpse. Thankfully it doesn't last. Please, Elsa… Don't leave me…
- So Proud of You: Elsa all but says this when she makes the decision to crown Anna queen.Elsa: Anna…if age made me qualified to lead, the past two days wouldn't have happened. But you? You braved a blizzard just to find me, you took a stand against Hans even when he overpowered you...and you saved my life. You saved the world. In just a few short days, you've proven yourself more qualified to be queen than I could ever dream to be.
- Trauma Conga Line: Her beloved sister, under the influence of Nahxs' corruptive magic, verbally tears her to shreads, blaming her for pushing her too hard and wishing her dead. Then, she learns that her fiance, whom she just married, was manipulating her all along. Finally, Elsa suffers a Disney Death and is turned to ice in front of Anna, though this is mitigated by her revival. By the end of the arc, Anna is left a screaming, sobbing wreck.
- You Are in Command Now: At the end of the Arendelle arc, Elsa leaves Anna in charge of the kingdom, confident that she will make a fine leader in Elsa's absence.

Olaf
Origin: Frozen (2013)
Appearances: Act 3: All That's Left
A snowman Anna and Elsa used to play with as children. Elsa accidentally brought him to life when she fled into the mountains.
- Accidental Misnaming: Is prone to this. He refers to Riku as "Rico", "Ricky" and "Ricardio", and Nahxs as "Noxious", "Noxymus" and "Nosferatu".
- Ambiguously Gay: As evidenced by his dialogue, Olaf has no reservations with kissing Riku.
- Black Comedy: A frequent source of this.Yeah, and Kristoff doesn't have any superpowers, unless you count his BO. HEY! Let's throw Kristoff at that evil prince guy! Then his evil reflection powers will make him stink even worse and then the prince will smell it and die, just like I have inside!
- Disney Death: Lands in a fireplace during a scuffle. Fortunately, Donald's snow flurry protects him..
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Happens in his first two appearances. He is introduced with dozens of arrows embedded in his face after being mistaken for a Heartless. Later, when he approaches an unconscious Kairi, she reflexively stabs him with her Keyblade. He's fine.
- Innocently Insensitive: He and Morph reeenact the tragic events of Elsa's corrpution in a comical fashion, with the former narrating over the latter's charades. Kristoff lampshades just how tasteless this is.Kristoff: In what world do you think turning an ongoing tragedy into a traveling roadshow would be a tasteful and sensitive thing to do?
Olaf: THIS ONE! HIT IT, MORPHY! - Lampshade Hanging: At one point questions why the Nobodies and Heartless are named the way they are.Olaf: But if this prince guy's a Nobody, how come he's got a body? And those Heartless eat people's hearts, right? So I bet they're stuffed full of 'em by now.
Goofy: Y'know, he's kinda got a point... - Metaphorgotten: Makes an analogy for saving Anna by likening Hans to a human blizzard, which somehow turns into a plan to keep Anna warm by making a bonfire out of Hans' innards.
- Nigh-Invulnerable: Suffers many Amusing Injuries (including being stabbed with a Keyblade) yet his status as a snowman means that nothing except for heat can kill him. One of the Trolls lampshades this.
- Personal Raincloud: Donald gives him a snow flurry to protect him from heat, much to his delight. It ends up saving his life when a scuffle sends him flying into a fireplace.
- Plucky Comic Relief: Serves this role alongside B.E.N during the Arendelle arc.

- Shipper on Deck: They set up a wedding for Kristoff the moment they see a 'human female' with him, the girl in question being Donald Duck.
