DiZ (Real Name: Ansem the Wise)

"I should have known the Keyblade was nothing but a tool of destruction!"

Appearances: Act 2: Fragmented Truths|The Year Between|Act 3: All That's Left

"A kingdom of fools. And Ansem was the worst fool of them all."
A vengeful scientist consumed by hatred and hell-bent on taking down the Organization. He was once Ansem the Wise; the kindhearted ruler of Radiant Garden.
  • Abusive Parent: Served as this to Xion, whom he treated as a living tool.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Created Xion in this continuity as a tool to oppose the Organization.
  • Character Development: After driving away all his allies and witnessing the destruction of Twilight Town, DiZ has a Jerkass Realization, wondering if he himself is responsible for the bloodshed which transpired.
  • Everyone Has Standards: For as far as he's fallen, DiZ couldn't bring himself to follow through on his threat to kill Aqua to spite the Organization. Not that the heroes knew this.
  • Fantastic Racism: Despises Nobodies and Replicas, seeing them as less than human.
  • Hated by All: Aside from King Mickey, nobody has any respect for DiZ. The heroes frequently express contempt for him whilst the villains hold him in equally low regard.
  • Jerkass: Is rude and unpleasant.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • His dehumanizing treatment of Xion certainly counts.
    • Though his threat to kill a wounded Aqua was a bluff, DiZ had no qualms with leaving her for dead and even tried to shoot Sora out of spite when the latter leapt to her defense.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one to all the heroes, notably Aqua and King Mickey, after the former saves Xemnas' life. Goofy swiftly returns the favour.
    • Gets one from Zexion in the ending of The Year Between:
And I have to say, Master… I'm almost appalled, looking at you now. (...) True. But just think of how far you've fallen. You were once a noble ruler, the most brilliant scientific mind… and then you failed. Your fear was what ultimately cast you into that darkness. And look at the results! You failed to save your once radiant kingdom, and you failed to save this town… Just like before, your hands are stained with the blood of those around you.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Is ostensibly Xion's father in this continuity.
  • Torture Technician: Implied. "I’ve spent well over a decade studying how best to torture your kind, Xehanort. I know how to make you scream."

    The Lingering Will

Appearances: Side Stories: Left Behind|The Year Between|Act 3: All That's Left

But I promised… I swore I'd set things right…
Terra's discarded armor, brought to life by his hatred for Xehanort. After the fall of Radiant Garden, Terra's heart took refuge within the armor, where it remained for the past decade.
  • And I Must Scream: Driven insane from years of solitude wallowing in guilt and rage, the Lingering Will feels little more than an overwhelming hatred towards the man who took everything that mattered. This remnant of Terra is forced to shoulder the guilt of each and every one of his Nobody's crimes with the full knowledge of how far they've fallen.
  • Animated Armor: After being possessed by Xehanort, Terra's hatred towards the man who ruined his life brought his armor to life.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Terra's heart is burdened with the guilt for each and every one of Xemnas' crimes, from his role in the destruction of countless worlds to his manipulation of Aqua.
  • Soul Jar: Terra's heart remains trapped within his armor, waiting to be freed.
  • Tranquil Fury: Whenever it speaks.
  • "You Used to Be Better" Speech: Gave one to Xemnas on their Station of Awakening, before forcing him to feel every ounce of emotion held onto by his heart.
I know you can be better than this. Because we were better. But, if you stay on this path, I'll drown you in the ocean of every regret you've run away from.
    Zippy & Booper

Zippy & Booper

Appearances: Act 3: All That's Left

A pair of Dusks who serve as moles for Marluxia and Larxene. They were named by Xion after the latter formed a secret alliance with them.
  • All Animals Are Dogs: Though not animals, they do have some dog-like tendencies. Booper steals Jim Hawkins' gun and offers it to Xion like a puppy playing fetch, while Zippy growls at Jim when he tries to take it back.
  • Bumbling Henchmen Duo: A duo so clumsy that they can't pour a cup of tea without spilling it all over the table.
  • Cuddle Bug: They're surprisingly affectionate despite lacking hearts, tackling Xion in a group hug.
  • The Mole: They serve as this, spying on the Organization on Marluxia and Larxene's behalf.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Though they work for Marluxia and Larxene, they themselves are not malicious and, if their behavior around Xion is anything to go by, may have the intelligence of animals.
  • Team Pets: Xion certainly treats them as such, naming them and giving them affection.
  • Totem Pole Trench: They pull this off in one scene, complete with Groucho Marx glasses and a fedora.
