    Gorogong
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_4_058c79ceb6.jpg
A hulking behemoth from Luana Island thought to merely be the stuff of folklore, but is terrifyingly real and every bit as dangerous as his legend makes him out to be. With massive fists that can shake the earth, and rocky skin that no conventional weapon can hope to pierce, he is a Titan that commands fear and awe.
  • Anti-Villain: The only reason Gorogong is going on a rampage is due to the purple crystal he protected being stolen from him by the military. When he finally gets his crystal back, he's content to resume his peaceful resting in seclusion.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning: After defeating Rawa, Gorogong becomes supreme ruler of Tarabak Island.
  • Composite Character Design-wise he's a fusion of EX Red King with Miclas, while backstory-wise he's a King Kong Copy due to being a gorilla-like monster that gets subdued peacefully by a human woman, with three of his alternate skins turning turning him into a gorilla monsters, one of them outright called Gorokong, to make the reference clearly intentional.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: Gorogong relies on his fists in battle, which given their massive, thick, rocky build makes them very suited to both punching and blocking.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Gorogong has high strength and agility stats, as well as decent defensive stats. His fighting style revolves around rushing down his enemies and beating them senseless with his fists of fury.
  • Playing with Fire: Several of Gorogong's attacks cover his fists in flames.
  • Sealed Badass in a Can: The story mode for Gorogong reveals in the end that that his rage was pacified by Princess Luana's song, but she realized that her people were still afraid and that the kaiju would rampage again following her eventual death and sacrificed herself to seal Gorogong inside the island's volcano. Her spirit is implied to have become the giant purple crystal he's obsessed with protecting.
  • Spin Attack: One of Gorogong's signature moves is spinning rapidly in a circle, which with his massive and heavy arms puts plenty of pain on his enemies.

    Woolley
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_4_bdc5b3bd3f.jpg
A member of a race of giant Siberian monsters known as Yetis, Woolley does not possess a malevolent bone in his body, but is dangerous nonetheless. Interpreting the aggression of others as play, he leverages his bulbous body and elastic guts to blow away any Titans that dare to underestimate this childlike beast.
  • Acrofatic: Woolley is rotund but his highest stat is his agility.
  • Badass Unintentional: All Woolley is doing in his story is following his curiosity and wanting to play around, before eventually feeling worried about how to get home. He never intended at any point for his adventure to involve "playing" with various Titans and beating them into submission, gaining recognition for his strength and stopping more destructive Titans from causing trouble.
  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Woolley and his species are yeti-like and live in snowy regions. Woolley's chapter reveals there are a few variants.
  • Cute Bruiser: This Gentle Giant has the cuddly appearance to match, in contrast to the blatant monstrosity or seriousness of every other Titan, but packed inside his fluffy exterior is an impressive capacity for pummeling opponents with both his fists and his gut.
  • Gentle Giant: His kind are some of the more peaceful Titans, even if they engage in some mischief once in a while.
  • Human Snowball: He can use a weaponized variant where he rolls around to gather up snow, which can catch an enemy inside before bursting and flinging them into something for some damage.
  • An Ice Person: Befitting a yeti that lives in the wintery Siberia, he has a few moves relating to weaponizing cold, mostly by creating snowballs to represent his playfulness..
  • Vacuum Mouth: He can breath in with incredible force to suck up enemies in his mouth, before spitting them out encased in a snowball that causes damage on contact with something solid.

    Rawa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_4_5199844b3e_1_30.jpg
The mighty "Extinction Dragon" of Tarabak Island whose fearsome presence can send fear down the spines of even other Titans, Rawa is a slow and lumbering goliath who makes up for its sluggish movements with hardy scales and a blazing green flame jet it fires from its mouth that can potentially raze cities in an instant!
  • Breath Weapon: Rawa can spit out waves of spectral flames, which he can focus into a devastatingly powerful energy beam.
  • Came Back Wrong: After he was killed by Skorak, Rawa's followers tried to resurrect him using Violet Elixir—a liquid form of Giga Energy—and his skull's severed horn. This resulted in Rawa being brought back as a dracolich—albeit in a weakened state.
  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: Rawa is a large dinosaur-like dragon who breathes spectral blue fire, is called the Dragon King, and has the golden armor and nose horn of the Malaysian Naga.
  • Dracolich: According to the lore, Rawa was killed by Skorak, who wears its skull as a shell, but its worshippers managed to resurrect it—in a manner of speaking—using its severed horn and Giga Energy. However, Rawa was brought back in a weakened state and is biding its time to regain its lost power and reclaim its lost throne.
  • The Dreaded: None of the locals and Titans dare disturb this beast.
  • Evil Overlord: When he was the uncontested ruler of Tarabak Island, Rawa forced his worshipers to offer him sacrifices of Violet Elixer and would devour them if they displeased him. A faction of his followers ultimately rebelled and assassinated him by summoning an eldritch entity and using its venom to poison Rawa's offering, leading to a fatal case of indigestion.
  • Horn Attack: Rawa has a large horn that he puts to good use in combat.
  • Hot Wings: Rawa can manifest wings made of spectral flames that allow it to fly for brief periods.
  • Laser Blade: Rawa can wreathe his horn in ghostly flames to augment the damage it does.
  • Non-Human Undead: Rawa is technically a ghost-dragon, having been killed by Skorak, but regaining physical form — albeit in a weakened, altered state — through its followers exposing its severed horn to Giga Energy. His "Napal" variant—which has hair, eyes with slitted pupils instead of Glowing Eyes of Doom, and a more organic look—is implied to approximate what he looked like when he was alive.
  • Not Zilla: Rawa is the Godzilla stand-in for this game, being a giant fire-breathing dinosaur-like dragon.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Rawa is referred to as the "Extinction Dragon", and destroys everything he comes across.
  • One-Winged Angel: Rawa's S-Class form transforms him into an even larger form with a longer horn, flame-like shoulder spikes, more ornate armor on his chest and legs, and wings of spectral flames forming on his back—implied to be what he would look like at full power.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Rawa is very dinosaur-like but also draws inspiration from the Malaysian Naga.
  • Playing with Fire: Rawa has a plethora of spectral fire attacks.
  • Spikes of Doom: Rawa is among the more dangerously threatening Titans, which is represented by spikes jutting out all across his back.

    Gigaman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_4_c88016c21e_3_75.jpg
Is he a man? A Titan? Maybe both? Whatever he may be, the good news is that Gigaman is on humanity's side. Gifted with superhuman athletics and a kind heart, he is a veteran superhero who fights to protect mankind from the Titan menace.
  • Acrofatic: Gigaman has a dad-bod, yet is one of the more faster and athletic fighters.
  • Ambiguous Situation:
    • It's unknown if Gigaman is a human able to change his size or a human-shaped Titan. Thundatross's Story Mode shows that his powers are at least tied to the Giga Core somehow.
    • One of his unlockable lore entries implies he might've been an orphaned Japanese child from the eighties named Sho, but doesn't give a direct answer if he actually was.
  • Big Good: Gigaman is the last line of defense of humanity against the Titans.
  • Brought to You by the Letter "S": His "Rising" skin depicting him in his prime has a "G" on his chest.
  • Chest Blaster: Gigaman can fire a Giga Beam from his chest. This is used as his charged special (which can also bounce off of buildings), his special grapple, and his Ultimate attack.
  • *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": One of his taunts has him try to make a pose that twists his torso, only for old age and years of inaction from retirement to momentarily catch up to him and pop his back out, causing him to grunt in pain while pushing the kink back in.
  • Formerly Fit: Gigaman has put on some extra weight during retirement, though he still retains most of his speed. One of his skins shows how he looked in his prime.
  • Henshin Hero: Gigaman is a man that transforms into a giant hero form, befitting an Ultraman Copy, though his human form is never shown since he's never seen during his down-time.
  • Shrouded in Myth: Gigaman has very adamantly refused to ever explain who he really is or how he became a hero, so the public is constantly guessing as to whether he's a transformed human or a human-like titan.
  • Ultraman Copy: Gigaman is an Ultraman-like hero who comes out of retirement to fight the rising Titan threat. He even comes with his own color timer.
  • Was Once a Man: One of Gigaman's possible origins is that he was a human mutated by Giga Energy.

    Skorak
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_4_e685b403c8_2_80.jpg
A vicious snail-like creature from Tarabak Island with a distinct — and terrifying — skull-shaped shell, Skorak is not only a dangerous Titan, but a frighteningly intelligent one. Woe be unto those who venture too close to this crafty creature, for its deadly fangs can rend other Titans asunder!
  • Animalistic Abomination: Skorak looks like a giant four-eyed slug, but is actually an eldritch entity summoned by cultists sick of Rawa's tyranny.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Skorak is a gargantuan slug that uses a kaiju skull for armor, making it resemble a snail.
  • Chest Burster: Skorak killed Rawa by erupting from the Dragon King's innards and tearing out of his belly.
  • Kill It Through Its Stomach: Skorak was eaten by Rawa, and ripped his way out of the beast's innards to kill him.
  • Life Drinker: By biting opponents with its fan-shaped mouthparts, Skorak can absorb their life force.
  • Poisonous Person: Skorak's venom is potent enough to give Rawa a fatal case of indigestion, and the cultists who worship him drink it to have hallucinatory visions — claiming that it psychically connects them to their god. His primary block attack and ultimate also poisons anyone unlucky enough to get hit by them.
  • Removable Shell: Skorak may look like a snail, but his "shell" is actually the skull of Rawa, who he killed to usurp rulership of Tarabak Island. As it's not part of his body, Skorak can remove it and use it as a projectile.
  • Skeletons in the Coat Closet: Skorak's shell is actually Rawa's skull, taken as a trophy after the slug-like Titan killed him.
  • Speedy Snail: While Skorak is technically a slug-like Titan, he is still far faster than regular-sized mollusks.
  • Wolverine Claws: Skorak has retractile blade-like spikes concealed behind his eyes.

    Thundatross
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_3_f2578429e8_1_64.jpg
Developed by OtomaTEC to protect mankind from the Titan Threat, Thundatross is a giant mecha designed to utilize Giga Energy, the same power source as the Titans. With a sword as large as it is tall and the might of the heavens at its beck and call, this prototype robot is a lean, mean Titan-slaying machine!
  • BFS: That segmented Cool Sword of his is longer than Thundatross is tall.
  • Cool Sword: Thundatross wields a colossal segmented sword.
  • Empathic Weapon: As a result of being powered by Giga Energy, Thundatross isn't simply a super-powered robot piloted by Yuuki Otoma, he outright has his own personality, with him acting like a protective and caring older brother figure for his pilot, including doing things like suggesting going out for food after winning a fight.
  • Expy: Thundatross is this to Mazinger Z.
  • Humongous Mecha: Thundatross is a super fortress of metal and thunder designed to save humanity from the Titans.
  • Kid Hero: Thundatross is piloted by Yuuki Otoma, a young boy. This trope especially comes into play for Thundatross's story mode, where he goes through the tribulations of a son trying to help his father work towards his dream of keeping the world safe.
  • Shock and Awe: Thundatross is able to call down lightning to strike his foes.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Yuuki and Thundatross fight for the military out of the belief they're protecting the world from the Titans, but all of his story appearances have the government capitalizing on his naivete and heroic spirit to help them gather sources of Giga Energy for selfish and dangerous reasons with him none the wiser. It's only in his story mode near the end when Dr. Reiner pilots his own mech powered by the unconscious Dr. Otoma in a bid to selfishly absorb the Giga Core, expressing full awareness about how it could potentially destroy the world that Yuuki learns how the government doesn't always have humanity's best interests in mind.

    Pipijuras
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_3_82f0a2250f_3_70.jpg
A strange alien creature of extra-terrestrial origin, Pipijuras was discovered on Earth after crashlanding in the 1980s, and subsequently subjected to experiments in an attempt to control it. Cunning and proud when unshackled, it can rain hell on enemies from afar with Giga Energy bolts.
  • Alien Invasion: Pipijuras arrives on earth from outer space and starts wrecking up the place.
  • Beam Spam: Pipijuras favors blasting enemies with Giga Energy infused projectiles.
  • Composite Character: Pipijuras takes a combination of traits from Baltan and Metron.
  • Deflector Shields: Pipijuras has an ability that lets him deflect incoming projectiles.
  • Instant Flight: Just Add Spinning!: Pipijuras can spin its pincers around to hover, though in cut-scenes it can straight up fly — using them to escape Gorogong once throwing off its mind control.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Pipijuras has the lowest possible strength stat and the highest possible energy stat. He can fight up close but favors mid to to long range combat.
  • Villain Protagonist: He's the main character we play in his chapter and he's an evil alien bent on our destruction. Finishing his story mode even results in an unambiguous The Bad Guy Wins scenario where he uses a teleportation device on the Giga Core to bring Earth right into the clutches of his race, exploding open a large chunk of Earth in the process.

    Rohanna
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_3_b775805ef6_1_65.jpg
One of the many Titans that calls Tarabak Island home, Rohanna is nature's wrath made manifest. While compassionate to and protective of those who swear fealty to her, she is fiercely territorial and more than capable of using her control over plants to deal with threats, even if it means chasing them down from beyond her realm.
  • Benevolent Boss: Among the Titans who have dedicated cults, unlike Rawa and Skorak who simply accept worship and leave the humans alone, Rohanna outright provides shelter and food to her followers, with her only request being that they never let another Titan stray their faith.
  • Botanical Abomination: She's a monstrous aggregation of various flora that roughly take on a humanoid shape, but her powers and might make it clear she's not simply a living plant.
  • Gaia's Vengeance: As first represented in her reveal trailer, where Skorak and Thundatross tearing up a forest has her intervene to fight both, then stated outright in her character bio for the game proper, Rohanna is essentially the physical embodiment of nature's wrath, and she reacts very poorly to all who don't respect the land around them.
  • Green Thumb: As a Botanical Abomination, her powers all relate to control over nature, including creating plant minions, having Vine Tentacles for arms with her two big, thorny left ones able to stretch, compress, and wrap around for various combat uses, and she can become one with the earth to burrow through the ground, creating a trail of flowers in her wake.
  • Mama Bear: Her appearance in Woolley's campaign happens because humans captured some of her plant "children", and she becomes absolutely furious and tries to kill Woolley after he accidentally squashes one of them.
  • The Minion Master: One of her regular moves summons tiny plant creatures to attack enemies, while her Ultimate summons a gargantuan plant monster that's both strong and tough to act as a temporary ally.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Rohanna is the only fully confirmed female monster of the bunch.
  • Vine Tentacles: Her left "arm" is comprised of two big, thorny vines wrapped around each other, which can be used for punching, condensing into a club, or unfurling to grab enemies.

    Zyva
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_3_a7a65a4577.jpg
A crystaline entity overflowing with Giga Energy, Zyva is a member of a species hailing from the subterranean Hollow Earth. They typically keep to themselves in their underground abode, but in the off chance that they dare to emerge, there is no telling if they can be stopped, by man or Titan!
  • Crystalline Creature: The majority of it's body is composed of a dark crystal that is infused with Giga Energy.
  • Floating Limbs: As its body is mostly a mass of hardened crystal, its "arms" and "legs" are actually detached from its body and linked to it by Giga Energy, providing a bigger attack range than at first glace.
  • Knight Templar: Zyva's species are dedicated to protecting the Giga Core from any who would want to abuse its power, but they consider any living thing that gets close to the Core as a threat, so whether somebody means harm, is trying to use Giga Energy for good, or simply digs deep enough to get too close to it, Zyva and its kin will try to kill them all the same.
  • Transforming Mecha: While not a literal mecha, it's a mass of Giga Crystals "piloted" by a sentient Energy Being composed of Giga Energy. When dormant it condenses into a small and compact crystal, activating has it expand and morph into combat mode, and part of its combat strategy is using its "arms" as Shapeshifter Weapons. This status gets parodied with one of its taunts, where Zyva uses its nature as a mass of disconnected floating crystals to transform into a helicopter, with the name of the taunt of course being "Crystals in disguise"

    Kongkrete
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kongkrete_png_30.png
What at first blush appears to be nothing more than an ordinary building from Tokyo is, in fact, a Titan-like monster of steel and stone. What is it capable of? What are its intentions? And why does it always seem to appear wherever Gigaman appears? No one knows...
  • Ascended Fanboy: When he was human, he idolized Gigaman. As a Titan, he follows Gigaman around.
  • Fighting Clown: Kongkrete qualifies, being a living building that is just as capable of wreaking devastation and beating Titans to a pulp as any other character.
  • Living Structure Monster: He's a living building made of concrete, metal, and glass, with two lit windows acting as eyes and the ability to open his top like a chest to act as a mouth.
  • Shrouded in Myth: Thanks to his transformation happening without anybody knowing, along with how being a living building makes him The Speechless, the origin of this sentient mass of concrete is a complete mystery to the public masses.
  • Super Mode: Alongside his S-class mode, Kongkrete's ultimate has him temporarily become a rocket-propelled skyscraper which can rapidly smash down enemies for heavy damage.
  • Was Once a Man: His dossier reveals he was once a human who was accidentally merged with a building diorama by one of Gigaman's attacks.

DLC Characters

    Godzilla
The King of the Monsters, Godzilla is an amphibious theropod dinosaur mutated by nuclear radiation into a colossal force of destruction that frequently rampages through Tokyo.

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Kiryu was created using the skeleton of the original Godzilla as a frame, with DNA-based computers as a control-system. Unfortunately, this led to it more or less being possessed by the "ghost" of said original Godzilla — leading to the Mechagodzilla occasionally going berserk while sporting glowing red eyes, as seen in its ultimate attack.
  • Breath Weapon: Kiryu has a maser cannon mounted in its mouth in emulation of Godzilla's Atomic Breath.
  • Guest Fighter: From the Godzilla franchise.
  • Haunted Technology: Owing to the DNA-based computers, Kiryu is more or less possessed by the "ghost" of the original Godzilla, who can take over and go berserk.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Kiryu's arsenal is the only moveset in the game with limited resources (separated by missiles, beams and the Absolute Zero cannon). Overuse of certain attacks will cause them to run out until they can recharge again, encouraging players to mix up their attack strategy or use melee attacks to replenish their energy quicker.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Kiryu's ultimate attack consists of it going berserk and unloading all its armaments — including shoulder-mounted missile-pods — all at once at its opponent.
  • Power Creep, Power Seep: His base height is reduced to be 5 to 6 stories tall to be more or less on the same level as the kaijus in the game.

A warrior from the Land of Light, Ultraman merged with Shin Hayata to save his life and chose to stay on Earth to defend it from invading aliens and kaiju.
  • Critical Annoyance: The Trope Maker. When Ultraman's health falls below a certain threshold on a given life, his color timer starts going off.
