One of the ten playable schools in Blue Archive. Drowning in debt due to desertification, it is the smallest school with five students. Every student had either left the school or had transferred to another school with the exception of the Foreclosure Task Force who is trying their best to repay the school's debt and return it to its former glory.

Don't worry Sensei, this school still has these tropes going for them:

  • All Your Base Are Belong to Us: Abydos is on the receiving, slow end of this, having given up territory—even their high school—over the decades for their debt to Kaiser Loan until the school annex is all that's left, thanks to the Foreclosure Task Force refusing to give it up. V1C2 Episodes 14 to 15 then have Kaiser PMC invade Abydos once its only political safeguard, Vice President Hoshino, gave herself up to Black Suit. Still, the Task Force manages to repel the siege in the end with Problem Solver 68's timely help.
    • Chapter 3 reveals that Nepthys, the business conglomerate that Nonomi's family owns, has bought out Abydos' debt from Kaiser Loans and are the new creditor threatening to repossess the school.
  • Dying Town: The entire Abydos district is still barely clinging to life, but as the sand continues to encroach on the few remaining habitable areas and the district remains saddled with debt, more and more residents are closing up shop and leaving, threatening to turn the entire district into a complete Ghost Town.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: To Egypt.
    • Abydos is located in a desert. That, and the academy is named after an ancient city in Egypt, similarly now a relic of a fallen dynasty like how Abydos was once an influential name throughout Kivotos.
    • The school logo is that of a triangle with a sun radiating from inside it. In Egyptian culture, the triangle is an important symbol of the golden ratio and the pyramids, while the sun often represents power and divinity.
    • The fall of Abydos is linked to several circumstances, not least of which is desertification sapping their resources in stopping it, ultimately losing their land to Kaiser, their students jumping off the sinking ship, and practices like the Desert Festival being forgotten. Egypt also deteriorated from declines in climate and natural resources, with the final blow being Alexander the Great conquering them and forcing their culture to change in favor of Roman rule.
    • Their students have inspirations, such as Hoshino being one for the god Horus (her shotgun and shield being named Eye of Horus and Iron Horus respectively, for example) and Shiroko for Anubis (her surname means "sand wolf", as in the jackal).
  • Ghost Town: From decades ago until present day, the school district has been plagued by desertification to the point that when the Task Force heads out to its outskirts in Volume 1, the CGs show abandoned buildings and derailed trains engulfed in sand. The school took on debt from Kaiser to try and save their territory from the problem, but failed to resolve it while their debt grew and lost territory as collateral, leading to its district's residents leaving until only smidgens like Shiba Seki Ramen are left.
  • Saving the Orphanage: The Foreclosure Task Force, its only remaining students, are doing their best to pay back the school's massive debt (962,350,000 yen with a monthly interest of 8 million to be exact) and prevent its closure.
  • Sea of Sand: Nearly all CGs showing Abydos involve sand; the school's entrance in particular is mildly caked with sand, owing to its close proximity to a desert. The outskirts showcase this the most, featuring abandoned buildings practically drowned, with one (which has a Kaiser Loan building to the left) showing the endless desert beyond the buried buildings.
  • Shifting Sand Land: Some gameplay levels featuring the Abydos Desert take place in sandy territory, with a few abandoned structures and vehicles lying about.
  • Vestigial Empire: Abydos was once known as the largest and most influential of the academies in Kivotos until constant desertification plagued them, ultimately sinking into ruin from its ever-growing debt to Kaiser to pay for the restoration efforts. Now it only has five students, it's only authority figure being the Vice President.

Foreclosure Task Force

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/countermeasure_2.png
L - R: Ayane, Shiroko, Serika, Hoshino, Nonomi
The only five remaining students of Abydos High School who still enrolled in the school in order to pay their debt to Kaiser, who is owning most of their lands.

They are the main focus club in Main Scenario Volume 1: Foreclosure Task Force as well as Blue Archive: The Animation.
    Associated Tropes
  • Badass Crew: While this trope can be claimed of others like Gehenna's Prefect Team, or the similarly down-on-their-luck RABBIT Squad, the Task Force has no such advantages like numbers, training or equipment, owning little more than their own guns, guile, each other and determination, and help from Sensei. Even then, it's impressive that five lone students held out against the debt before Sensei arrived, then took out a gang, rescued Serika from said gang later, defeated Problem Solver 68 and their (part-time) mercenaries, effortlessly robbed a black market bank, defended against a platoon of the Prefect Team (minus Hina and with help from Problem Solver, but still), repelled Kaiser PMC's invasion (without Hoshino, their best fighter, and just Problem Solver again as their only allies), and—again without Hoshino—downed the battle mech-piloting PMC Director on their own at Vol. 1, Chapter 2's end. If there's a quality that should be named of them, it's their Heroic Willpower.
  • The Bus Came Back: After being absent since Volume 1, the Abydos girls return in the climax of Chapter 3 of the Trinity story, arriving to help the Justice Task Force and Prefect Team first, and then Hifumi and Azusa, fighting off the Arius Squad and their hijacked Justina Saint army.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For the Abydos Resort Restoration Committee event, where they go on vacation at a resort that turns out to be abandoned and crawling with resort hunters.
  • Gang of Hats: The Task Force have another persona formed during Volume 1: the "Masked Swimsuit Gang", a group of six student criminals (including Hifumi) who wear Suspicious Ski Masks knitted by Shiroko (except Hifumi who wears a Brown Bag Mask). They didn't wear swimsuits at first until the Momoyodou Beach Shack Franchise Plan event, where they at one point fight in their swimsuits while masked. Hifumi's sudden stint as their leader "Faust" actually managed to reach Nagisa's paranoid ears in Volume 3, thus suspected as a danger with criminal connections and landing her in the Make-Up Work Club.
  • Leitmotif: Signal of Abydos is closely associated with the Foreclosure Task Force.
  • True Companions: Due to being Abydos's last students, the Foreclosure Task Force is incredibly tightly knit and won't hesitate to drop everything they're doing in order to help out each other. This even extends to honorary members like Hifumi, especially when they show up to assist the Make-Up Work Club when Arius attacks them.
  • Unusual Halo: All the students' haloes take the form of targeting reticles, except for Hoshino, whose halo takes after the Eye of Horus.

A young, lazy girl from Abydos High School. She's currently the vice president of the Abydos Student Council, the president of the Foreclosure Task Force, and the only 3rd year. Speaking like an old man, she enjoys playing around more than work. Because of this, she's often the subject of anger from the rest of the council, but once the mission starts she protects the other members by fighting valiantly on the front lines.

  • The Ace: While she's a sleepyhead who finds fighting to be a pain, she's actually the strongest student in Abydos. It's to the point Hina both fears and respects Hoshino, remembering what she was like when she was young. Not to mention, Black Suit wanted her because he saw Hoshino had the potential to become the strongest Mystic.
  • Adults Are Useless: While hiding it extremely well, she dislikes adults, because she sees them to be untrustworthy. Considering the problems with Kaiser and the Abydos debt, it's understandable. Even through her character development from being a hardboiled loner to a chill girl, she still viewed them in a negative manner, such as at first thinking Sensei was an useless adult because they had to be carried by Shiroko and didn't trust them at first. At the very least, she saw Sensei to be an actual good adult over time.
  • The Alleged Boss: With how she usually acts, it's really easy to forget that she's not only the leader, but also the last official authority figure in Abydos period. This comes back to bite her in the butt later: when she strikes a deal to give herself up to Kaiser in exchange for their debt, the director immediately moves in for a hostile takeover, pointing out that the last student council member leaving the school means Abydos has ceased to exist as an administrative entity.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Despite always looking for an opportunity to sleep more, she does show maturity from time to time. Knowing her past and the fact Hina respects and fears her shows she was The Ace even as a first year.
    • In the Summer Animation PV, when the drones get weird and start shooting at the students, both Hina and Hoshino take down the commanding drone, with Hoshino jumping off the second floor and shooting the bot at point-blank like nothing.
  • Broken Ace: Behind her sleepy oji-san persona, she hides a lot of pain and trauma. She found Yume's corpse, had to keep on persisting in keeping Abydos alive, and is hinted she's still not over Yume's death.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: According to Hina in Volume 3, Hoshino was the one to find the corpse of her predecessor and Senpai among the Abydos Student Council. Despite that, she still managed to soldier on and keep trying to clear Abydos' debt.
  • Deal with the Devil: In the hopes of clearing Abydos's debt, Hoshino sought to join Kaiser at Black Suit's request. Kaiser's response is to use her departure as a loophole to destroy the school.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: She reveals she joined the Abydos Student Council because she felt aimless in life.
  • Embarrassing Hobby: What she sees in her hobby of enjoying marine life compared to others. Sensei reassures her it's not embarassing.
  • Hidden Depths: Diving into Hoshino's character shows she's actually a very complex character behind her Sleepyhead Oji-san personality.
    • Hoshino's bond story reveals she spends most of the night patrolling the Abydos district to look out for troublemakers, which is why she's always napping during the day.
    • She's actually really distrustful of adults, no thanks to Kaiser. She found Sensei to be pathetic at first and didn't trust them until she saw they were really trying to help the FTF.
    • She has a huge love for marine life showing to be knowledgeable about fish, dorky, more awake, and endearing during her relationship stories when Sensei gives her glowing stickers of sea animals and being able to go see an aquarium.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Her EX Skill, "Tactical Suppression", has her pull out a folding riot shield to protect herself as she slowly walks forward, blasting any enemies in front of her. Her sub-skill even gives her an actual damage-absorbing shield whenever she uses it.
  • Meaningful Name: Not her actual name, but the title of her third relationship story, "Faint Light". In the episode and the Momotalk preceding it, she spouts trivia about fish in deep oceans that produce light, using it to protect themselves, and remarks how they could have been targets for predators when alone but intimidating when a school of them gathers. This is a reference to her previous lone wolf nature back before the Foreclosure Task Force was formed, compared to Hoshino's laidback self in the present with her friends.
  • Named Weapons: Her Beretta 1301 shotgun is named "Eye of Horus", following the Egyptian motif alongside her Eye-of-Horus-shaped halo.
  • No-Sell: In the battle against Binah (Chroma) during Volume F, the Abydos team can't get out of Binah's laser in time, so Hoshino takes her shield against it to everyone's bated breath. It's noted before this that there are few things the laser can't vaporize, so seeing Hoshino emerge from the smoke with just a bit of ash on her and casually complaining about her old age is nothing short of amazing, prompting Maki to praise that Abydos's students are strong. Even then, Hina remembers young Hoshino to be someone they had to be aware of.
  • Rule of Symbolism: Like with Shiroko being based on Anubis, it's heavily implied that Hoshino is based on the Egyptian god Horus; her shotgun is named Eye of Horus, her shield has "IRON HORUS" marked on it, her halo is similar to the Eye of Horus, and her heterochromia resembles the myth of Horus having two distinct eyes that represent the sun and moon.
  • Sleepyhead: She's always drowsy or taking a nap. She's introduced in the Abydos story by Serika having to drag her out of her nap to go on a mission. The reason is in her Relationship Stories where it reveals she patrols Abydos at night for troublemakers.
  • Ship Tease: Hints of it towards Sensei, throughout her relationship stories. Especially in Episode 4: Midnight Ranger, where she says that Sensei is much more caring towards her than most people. She also briefly breaks character when she asks Sensei to escort her home, asking as a schoolgirl instead of an 'old man' in a touching display of trust.
Hoshino: "I think I need you to hold my arm on the way home. I'm so dizzy."
Hoshino: "Come on, let's go. You wouldn't deny an innocent young maiden's request, would you?"
    • In her Swimsuit version relationship stories, she asks if Sensei wants to nap on the hammock with her. When they decline at first, she expected that response but she admits she wouldn't mind it if they really did want to take a nap with her which they finally obliged. It at least shows her being trustful of Sensei despite her dislike of adults.
    • During the beginning of Volume F when Shiroko gets a message from Sensei asking if she was okay, Hoshino states how she wished Sensei would check on her too.
  • Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!: Before she became the nice, chill girl we knew, she was aggressive, logical, and cold; she butt-heads with her senpai Yume who was an idealistic girl.
  • The Dreaded: She picked up enough of a reputation while she was a first-year that even Hina is aware and wary of her. This is why Hina is so surprised when she sees Hoshino is different than her first-year intel.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Flashbacks show that she was much more abrasive and openly distrustful of adults when she was younger, and butted heads with the previous Abydos student council president frequently. Hina is openly confused since Gehenna's intelligence dossier on Hoshino describes a completely different person.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Her foldable riot shield and the poster with tape all over in her room came from Yume. Aside her body, her shield was one of the only things Hoshino could recover.
  • Uniformity Exception: All the Task Force's students have a targeting reticle for haloesnote , except for Hoshino's, which resembles an eye. One however could see it being related to reticles because people need their eyes to sight down reticles.

A member of the Foreclosure Task Force of Abydos. She has an emotional and gentle personality, and plays a role as a mental support bringing together the members of the Task Force, which has many extreme personalities. Though she doesn't say it herself, she is the daughter of a very rich family. In fact, she pays for almost all of the Task Force's snacks from her own allowance.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: While she's grounded compared to her more bombastic clubmates, it's really the earnest Ayane who holds the position of Only Sane Woman to keep things on track. Nonomi is the type who'd pour oil on the fire.
    • During Volume 1 when the club discussed plans on how to revive their school, she cheerfully suggests starting an idol group because she watched anime revitalizing schools this way. Sensei could suggest becoming the manager.
    • When the Task Force don their balaclavas for the first time, not only does she not question the idea of robbing a bank (albeit a black market one), she makes up a backstory that she's Christina of the Masked Swimsuit Gang (which is where they got the name), and they're idols by day and vigilantes at night. She still announces the last part in the gang's subsequent reappearances.
  • Gatling Good: At odds with her gentle personality, she wields a freakin' minigun.
  • Impoverished Patrician: While Nonomi and her family are still well off enough that she doesn't have to worry about her spending habits, Nonomi still admits that her family business has been steadily declining due to failed investments in the Abydos district's rail lines.
  • Money Dumb: She has a tendency to engage in reckless spending given the chance. In one of the loading screen 1koma, she is seen happily flashing her credit card around while unaware of the card's credit limit.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Of the entire Task Force, Nonomi is visibly the most curvaceous even through her uniform. Her swimsuit version emphasizes this plenty more.
  • Named Weapons: Her M134 Minigun is named "Little Machine Gun V".
  • Noodle Incident: During the Final Volume, Chapter 2, when the Abydos team prepares to face the Chroma-controlled Binah and plan to use and destroy old trains in the ensuing fight, Nonomi sadly remarks that the trans-desert railway accelerated the downfall of Abydos and finds it better used in saving the world. This is followed by Kayoko revealing it belonged to a group called Saint Nephthys and eyes Nonomi, but Hoshino immediately cut in before she could say anything more.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: It's implied during the Abydos Resort Committee and the Final Volume that Nonomi is far more intelligent than she lets on underneath her airheaded, bubbly personality.
  • Rebellious Princess: Nonomi admits that she was originally supposed to enroll in the Highlander Railway Academy, which is essentially owned by her family. However, she decided to defy them and enroll in Abydos, instead.
  • Team Mom: Her personality is described as "emotional and gentle", and she's the closest thing the group has to the Only Sane Woman, keeping the more varied personalities of the rest in check to some extent.
  • Token Rich Student: She's noted to be the only rich girl of the Task Force, which would explain how she can keep her minigun loaded with the thousands of bullets it guzzles compared to smaller firearms. She apparently has more than enough money to clear out Abydos's debt if she wanted, but despite offering to though, the proposal was turned down by the her fellow clubmates since this is a problem of the entire school rather than one sole person.

A student of Abydos High School and the grouchy secretary of the Foreclosure Task Force. One with many complaints, Serika is the type that is hesitant to show her emotions. Despite her daily habit of saying "It's fine if this school goes bankrupt", she has a deep love for her school and works tirelessly behind the backs of her clubmates to pay off her school's debt.

  • Damsel in Distress: At one point, she is kidnapped by the Helmet Gang, forcing Sensei and the Task Force to go out to rescue her.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: The anime depicts Serika as having the best marksmanship out of the Task Force, being able to snipe a crate falling in midair with perfect timing.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Can be abrasive towards outsiders and sometimes even her friends, but works part-time to help pay off Abydos' debts.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Like Shiroko, she has cat ears.
  • Miko: Her New Year version has her dressed in the uniform of one, which comes from a part-time job and stars in Handyman 68's New Year Rhapsody.
  • Modesty Shorts: Just barely visible below the hem of her skirt.
  • Named Weapons: Her AR70/223 is named "Sincerity", an Ironic Name given her Tsundere personality.
  • Super Gullible: Not helped at all by her desperation to pay off the school's debt, she always falls for obvious scams. This even becomes how she gets the Task Force a shady ticket that led them to a resort that kicks off the Abydos Resort Restoration Committee summer event.
  • Tsundere: Often tries to hide her emotions, but truly cares for her school and friends and eventually comes to care for Sensei.
  • Workaholic: She's often seen bouncing between multiple part-time jobs in order to earn enough money to help pay off Abydos' debt.

Ayane is the diligent treasurer of the Foreclosure Task Force of Abydos High School. The type of girl to put much value on rules and principles, she does her earnest best for the revival of the school.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: While extremely patient with her quirkier Task Force teammates, she is known to throw a tantrum of epic proportions when their antics cross the line.
  • Gunship Rescue: Her swimsuit skin's EX has her arrive in an armed SH-60 Seahawk utility helicopter, armed with a minigun and Hellfire anti-tank missiles.
  • The Medic: Her EX Skill sends in her drone to drop a medkit for the team, which heals several students in a small radius.
  • Mission Control: She communicates from base and gives out data for her fellow Task Force members on the field, including sending out drones through her EX Skill.
  • Named Weapons: Though she doesn't actually use it given her status as a Special character, she carries a SIG P229 named "Common Sense".
  • Nice Girl: She's very sweet and is one of the shier girls in the Task Force.
  • Only Sane Woman: She is perhaps the most "normal" and levelheaded member of the Foreclosure Task Force.
  • Wrench Wench: She's notably responsible for fixing machinery as much as she uses them, like repairing the school's water piping and the new helicopter in the Abydos Resort event.

Enrolled in Abydos High School, Shiroko is the sports-loving field captain of the Foreclosure Task Force. Generally a girl of few words and few emotions, she gives off an aloof aura but holds the interest of Abydos above all else. In order to revitalize the school, she is willing to do anything, and occasionally comes up with ridiculous plans.

  • #1 Dime: It is revealed in the Final Volume that the scarf Shiroko always wears used to be Hoshino's until Hoshino gifted it to her when they first met. Shiroko has always worn it since.
  • Chekhov's Gag: Shiroko suggests robbing a bank to get the money to pay off Abydos' debts, even producing ski masks, but her plan is vetoed. Later, when the Abydos students find out that documents they were looking for were located in a bank...
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Briefly slips into this in Chapter 3 of the Abydos Resort Committee event when Wakamo shows up as reinforcement for the local thugs and inevitably begins spacing out and obsessing over Sensei's presence, to the point of outright attacking her and kicking off a fight with her and the thug gang.
  • Crime-Concealing Hobby: Inverted; in her side story, she reveals she apparently has a hobby of planning bank robberies, even though she claims she'd never go through with it. As it turns out, her hobby finds use when Abydos winds up having to actually raid a bank for clues.
  • Drone Deployer: Her EX Skill summons a drone that proceeds to bombard an opponent with missiles.
  • Evil Twin: There exists an alternate version of Shiroko who is older and has a much darker personality.
  • The Grim Reaper: Shiroko's original identity. Originally, she was a god of death who lost her identity a long time ago and disappeared, and the concept of death itself was formed as a student. Her Bad Future mutant is a being with her ability to die even more maximized, and when the destruction of Kivotos became visible, she descended again to fulfill her mission of 'leading life to the underworld', but lost her memory and told Hoshino upon being discovered, she lived as a student named "Shiroko Sunaookami".
  • Honor Before Reason: She refuses to take the money the Task Force accidentally stole during the bank heist and used it to pay their school's debts since if they keep using excuses to do more horrible things, that makes them no better that the thugs that attack their school. Considering the Task Force later learns the bank has been using the money they paid to them to hire the same thugs that attack their school, Shiroko made the right call.
  • I Owe You My Life: She's incredibly loyal to the Foreclosure Task Force and dedicated to helping clear the school's debt due to Hoshino and Nonomi bringing her out of poverty and enrolling her in Abydos.
  • Leitmotif: Clear Morning (full version here), cheerfully sung by her voice actor. The singer has lines directly asking Sensei (spoken as "Teacher" in English) about the unknown feelings she has, and later, "Teacher... is this love?", implying that this song is based on Shiroko's confusion with her feelings for Sensei.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Has a pair of wolf-like (probably, fitting with her surname) ears on her head.
  • Lovable Jock: While a bit simple, she has a good head on her shoulders, and is the most athletic member of the Abydos team by a long shot.
  • Meaningful Name: "Shiroko" (besides being wordplay for the numbers in her gun's name, "465") means "white child/person" for her silver hair, and a likely reference to the time she was found by Hoshino in the snow. Her surname, "Sunaookami", more or less means "sand wolf", referring to the jackals found in Egypt and the jackal-headed god, Anubis. This reference is made clear by Black Suit in the Final Volume, given Shiroko's previous identity as the god of death, and her Terror self having the epithet of Anubis.
  • Mysterious Waif: The Final Volume reveals that Shiroko was found by Hoshino and Nonomi as a homeless orphan with no memories. They took pity on her and enrolled her as an Abydos student and later as a member of the Foreclosure Task Force.
  • Named Weapons: Her main weapon is a SIG SG 556 named "WHITE FANG 465".
  • Not So Stoic: For someone usually with a lack of expressions, she shows a softer side every now and then.
    • According to the official PV, her email address is "shirokokawaii", and her gun is named after herself, showing a surprisingly smug side of her.
    • When she sees Wakamo acting affectionate towards Sensei in the Abydos Resort Committee event, she visibly frowns and doesn't hesitate to attack her, then confidently threatens to do it if she comes back afterwards.
  • Red Herring: One of the looming questions for most of Volume F — and, indeed, since the start of the game — is how we're going to deal with Shiroko's true nature along with having undergone her Viral Transformation into Shiroko Terror from the Chroma and killing Sensei as Seia's visions foretold. The part that comes out of left field is that we're expecting all of this to involve our Shiroko. The truth, revealed at the end of Volume F, is that Shiroko Terror is from an Alternate Timeline where all of these things already happened. Our Shiroko's sudden replacement by Shiroko Terror makes everyone think she is mutated and Fighting from the Inside, when really she was merely kidnapped by her counterpart.
  • Series Mascot: She's featured heavily in ads for the game, her face is the main icon of the game and her voice actress sings the game's theme song.
  • The Stoic: She's the least visibly emotional of the Foreclosure Task Force. Well, unless she gets really invested into something. Mostly downplayed, she's perhaps typically more calm than stoic.
  • Verbal Tic: "Nn."

The last president of the Abydos Student Council. She is already deceased by the time of the story, leaving the presidential seat empty, and Hoshino and Nonomi with a declining school and a mountain of debt.
  • Big Guy, Little Guy: She's a smiling, tall and buxom girl, especially when compared to Hoshino being a head shorter than her.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She has a sizable chest, which seemed to cause Hoshino to have some A-Cup Angst, as one photo of them together shows Hoshino looking very annoyed while Yume hugs her into the side of her chest.
  • Good Is Dumb: Hoshino's flashback reveals that due to Yume's friendly and trusting attitude, she was prone to falling for all sorts of scams that would have exacerbated the school's debt had Hoshino not been there to bail her out.
  • The Idealist: She has a very idealistic mindset, and believed in restoring Abydos to it's former glory with all her heart, despite others like Hoshino find it an incredibly unrealistic goal.
  • Nice Girl: She was described as being incredibly kind and selfless, to the point she managed to befriend and defrost Hoshino.
  • The Pollyanna: Before Hoshino was the lazy Sleepyhead we came to know and was a hardboiled loner, she had a pessimistic outlook on Abydos's decline that she can't see a recovery from. Yume, in contrast, kept on staying cheerful and continued to stay in Abydos despite (going off what details there are of that time period) being the only one of two students left.
  • Positive Friend Influence: Yume's death led to Hoshino changing herself from an aggressive loner to a more chilled and nice girl. It also led her to try and clear Abydos debt despite remembering how impossible it was to clear such a big debt. She also emulates the same clothing Yume used to wear too.
  • Posthumous Character: In Volume 3, it reveals she died three years ago, her body found by Hoshino. As of the present, it's unknown how it happened, though it's been officially declared an accident. She occasionally still features in flashback with Hoshino.
  • Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: At least judging from a flashback, Yume remained hopelessly idealistic about restoring Abydos, whereas Hoshino bluntly told her how unrealistic that was and ripped a flyer Yume was showing of a once-popular Abydos festival out of her hands.
  • Stupid Good: According to Hoshino, she had the lowest grades and managed to become the President because it was vacant and there were a few students left, but she was a Wide-Eyed Idealist who continued to try and resolve Abydos enormous debt while Hoshino didn't believe it was possible. Even the Kaiser PMC Executive remembers her not being as bright as Hoshino.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Her idealism is her core personality trait, and it's described as being so strong it negatively affected her judgement and made her hopelessly naive.
