Dragon Age: Origins

At the Battle of Ostagar, the Warden and Alistair are sent to light a beacon at the Tower of Ishal to signal Teryn Loghain's reinforcements. But when Loghain sees the lit beacon, he does not send the reinforcements as planned and instead orders his troops to withdraw from the battle, leaving King Cailan and his forces, as well as the Grey Wardens to die at the hands of the darkspawn.
