openAll Adult Animation is South Park
All Adult Animation Is South Park has a lot of Played With examples listed. Is this allowed? If not, should they go somewhere else?
openCannot create a new page
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/NamespaceGoesHere/TitleGoesHere can't be edited because it's apparently moderated. How exactly do I create a new page then if I can't access the first step to making a TV Tropes page?
Edited by RaggensopenThe Disney Princess Christmas Special Western Animation
I've got a complete fanfic called, 'The Disney Princess Christmas Special.' Could someone place it on the site?
openPlagiarism in animation Western Animation
I recently finished watching North Korean propaganda animated show Squirrel And Hedgehog. On chapter 29, there's a submarine with the shape of a whale that chases Goseumdochi. During that scene, there are a number of segments that look A LOT like they were taken from Disney's Pinocchio (1940), near the end, when Pinocchio and Geppetto managed to reach the beach and the whale crashes with a rock and Geppetto's semi-conscious body is pushed with the waters.
Squirrel and Hedgehog, here (check at 16:45) https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6uptyi
Pinocchio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mac1SNHb7e0
They're too similar to be just a coincidence. I wanted to submit them as a trivia, but I don't know if I should just mark it as Plagiarism or if there's another way to mention it.
openWeird edit reasons
Slaveman John has some...''weird'' edit reasons as of late.
"Oh freddled gruntbuggly, Thy micturations are to me, (with big yawning) As plurdled gabbleblotchits, in midsummer morning On a lurgid bee, That mordiously hath blurted out, Its earted jurtles, grumbling Into a rancid festering confectious organ squealer. [drowned out by moaning and screaming] Now the jurpling slayjid agrocrustles, Are slurping hagrilly up the axlegrurts, And living glupules frart and stipulate, Like jowling meated liverslime, Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes, And hooptiously drangle me, With crinkly bindlewurdles, mashurbitries. Or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon, See if I don't! Stay, safe, do not look at coronavirus!!! This page has been disinfected and cured from the virus!!!"
I have no idea what's going on here.
Edited by iamconstantineopenHow much should we edit Headscratcher pages?
I know we have a policy of removing first person entries, but can we also edit them for grammar, readability and unneeded forum talk ("You should probably watch the rest of the show")? I would like to make some of them read better, without changing the substance of any entry, but I would like to know if that is acceptable under wiki rules.
openWhen should I split off a sub-page to a trope?
When should I split off a sub-page to a trope?
I have at least 25 to add from one author, to One-Word Title....
Should I give that author their own page, or just split off the Fanfic section?
But really, if a work has 50 examples, it should just get its own sub-page all to itself...
This planned Underground Monkey entry, that is already taking up 12 lines, and I'm not done. Although, at best, it should... Oh, I missed some...
Note to Self: Trees, Mushrooms, (Bats?)
It might be 30 lines long...
Edited by MaladyopenTropes as trope examples?
I noticed Red Oni, Blue Oni has a tropes subpage (RedOniBlueOni.Tropes), which seems to list pairs of tropes, or individual duo tropes, that shows the Red Oni, Blue Oni dynamic?
I have two problems with this:
- Can tropes even be examples of tropes to begin with?
- As to those duo tropes listed there, should they be properly classified as subtropes of Red Oni, Blue Oni?
openCreate page button
I was thinking could we create a dedicated "Create page" button on the wiki?
I mean having to edit the url of an existing page to create a new page really doesn't make sense.
1. Creating a page is a fundamental function so there could be a fundamental button for it. Having to modify an existing page to make a new page, is like having to turn on the dishwasher to use the stove. It doesn't make any sense since couldn't the stove just have a button of its own to turn itself on rather than having to operate another appliance.
2. Having to modify the url of a an existing page can be complicated based on what characters you have to add/remove and where. Do I remove these characters? Do I add these characters? Which part to I focus on removing and adding characters.
3. Having a "Create Page" button would make it so much easier to make a url for it and make it less likely that you'll mess up the url for the new page by manually changing an old one. The create page would do all the work for you rather than "Do I change these characters or these characters?"
If this feature is implemented this would make it easier to contribute to the wiki. I mean you wouldn't have to worry about messing up a url to create a new works page. I mean if you know about a show for example that hasn't been added yet, you could right then and there add it before you forget.
Basically it'd make adding works so much more efficient.
open Potential vandalism
Slaveman John had just made several deletion edits to YMMV.Contagion with bizarre edit reasons involving coronavirus. I don't think he's a trolling account because he made legit edits before, but this seems like vandalism. Help out here? Thank you.
Darn, already mentioned, this may be locked.

openNew troper with no understanding of Repair, Don't Respond. Videogame
On Characters.Final Fantasy XV Empire Of Niflheim, Augusta added a nattery sub-bullet on April 20, which prompted me to revamp the affected trope. Today, five days after the incident, the troper added the exact same sub-bullet to another entry.
openEdit war
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.HowToTrainYourDragonTheHiddenWorld
Fishysaur is edit warring under the grounds that edits they don't like are "nitpicks" and citing "a good chunk of the fandom."
Edited by Spacecoyoteopentroper with messy editing
I found this troper, Xteme 19, which is making a lot of edits in character pages, such as Mashin Hero Wataru Series, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord - Kingdoms, The Void Rains Upon Her Heart (the latter has a bold entry at the beginning that says "(Under Construction)" ) and many others.
However said troper tends to make mostly empty character folders, sometimes with a description but at best just one trope and as a result there are character pages with more folders than tropes listed
Months ago I sent this troper a message explaining the problems with his edits in the One Piece characters pages, but since then said troper simply moved to other pages

How do I make sure that a video example I posted gets reviewed/approved? Is there a place I need to leave a link to the clip or anything like that?
openUnder Construction notes
Every so often I have come across a note on a page saying that is is "Under Construction" (see Trapped In A Dating Sim The World Of Otome Games Is Tough For Mobs for an example). Are such notes really necessary considering that, as this is a wiki, all pages are inherently still under construction?
Edited by SebastianGrayopen Why are So Many Adult Cartoons so Sadistic & Mean-spirited? Western Animation
I Have a Real Bone to pick with the Trope "All Adult Animation is South Park" Because I'm Sick of there being SO MANY Clones of South Park As well as Family Guy ripoffs; Why aren't there MORE Adult Cartoons that AREN'T Sadistic & Mean-spirited? Why aren't there More Heartwarming & Comforting Adult Cartoons like Bob's Burgers; which is the COMPLETE Antithesis to Sadistic Sitcoms like Family Guy & South Park?!!
You'd think with How Successful Bob's Burgers was; There'd be more Shows trying to be like it; but there AREN'T!!
So Why are So Many Adult Cartoons STILL So Sadistic & Mean-spirited; and How Long until the number of Cartoons that are founded on the Trope of "All Adult Animation is South Park" that are still on the air is significantly lower than More Heartfelt Shows Such as Bob's Burgers?!

AFAIK, no one updated this entry since November '19; could someone check whether or not Dan+Swampy succeeded yet? I don't know the differences between the two cuts of this special.
