Cut and yard. (Sorry for the dupe thread BTW.)
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallSounds say too specific. Cut and yard something about multi-seat bicycles in general.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupCut and yard sounds good to me.

I think this might have been doomed by a lack of Cross Wicking rather than being too rare — The Music Box, Pokémon, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish OPE's aren't in the wicks. Give it a few sister and related tropes (it's only on two indexes) and that would push it above the starvation threshold into a not great but still keepable number.
TIL it's called a tandem bike. The trope name was making me think of parasite characters like Samson or Leviathan at first. Crosswick it, and then we figure out what happens from there.
- Variation in the Laurel and Hardy short The Music Box - as Ollie huffs and puffs pushing a piano crate, Stanley stands on the edge of the crate in front, hurriedly stepping off as Ollie stops and looks at him suspiciously.
If we expand to "two or more characters are doing a hard work, but some of them aren't actually working", it would allow more examples.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf we don't already have a trope for that, I don't mind expanding this one to include non-bicycle events.
Now at 28 wicks after some tandem bike crosswicking, which is Standing on Wick. While we're here I guess we can discuss expansion: the Archer example on the page is also a "does work while others lounge around" example.
- Non-bike example; in one episode, Krieger's van breaks down on the way to bowling night, and Pam is forced to pull the van up a hill while strapped into a harness. Not only are the others not helping, sitting around in the back of the van and drinking beer instead of pushing, Krieger forgot to release the handbrake, making Pam's job a hundred times harder.
I'll throw in my hat for expanding the definition to include other forms of manual labor.
If there's no other trope already covering "one person does all the work for a group's physical effort" then I'm fine with an expand.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailIf expanded, it may not even need to be renamed or pic changed, though the description would have to be remade.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupExpanding sounds good to me.
Macron's notesChanging my vote to expand the idea.
I as well. to an expansion
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallSuggested rename assuming an expansion: Group Works, One Skates.
Expand
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessLet me throw out some other possible names:
Group Work Weasel(er)
Team Effort Evader
Teamwork Weasel(er)
Physical Labor Freeloader
Riding The Coattails Of Teamwork or (Teamwork Coat Tailer)
Expanding sounds like a good idea.
If we need to send it back to TLP to fish for more examples, we can do that as well.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportYou can do that? I'd support a re-LP then.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailYeah, we can do that.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSounds like a good idea. Send it back.

Tandem Parasite is apparently a very rare trope that seems to potentially be Too Rare to Trope. Right now, it's sitting at 18 wicks, which is well into starvation range on Trope.
For that reason, I recommend that if we cannot scare up enough examples to get it up to standing, we just cut and yard it.
