What I get from a quick Google is that there are two definitions: one referring to a comedian supporting role (to set up a punchline) and one referring to any subsidiary/subordinate role.
I do not see definition-only being very useful now due to the thin description.
I'd say just cut it.

This page was created in 2009, but it only has 21 wicks, and most examples lack context to really crosswick, which makes it fall under Starving per Wick. Tropes Needing TRS says "Examples for real people (such as acting credits) could probably be moved to And Starring, and sidekicks for fictional characters could probably be moved to Sidekick or a subtrope thereof." Maybe it needs a disambig.
