Is this pothole on YMMV.Yandere Simulator a problem?
- At this point (without getting into too much detail) there are more videos criticizing Yandere Dev— with countless (very long and detailed) rant videos, which often leads to criticizing the game and its fanbase— than videos about the game itself, with Dev especially being a controversial and often memetic (for the wrong reasons) character.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Under Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!:
- More sentiments of this trope that have been found inside and outside of this wiki have been found in how people used to perceive Darker and Edgier as more "mature" while Lighter and Softer was less mature. On this wiki, people used to cite Cerebus Syndrome and the progression towards Darker and Edgier as part of Growing the Beard while Reverse Cerebus Syndrome and Lighter and Softer were often filed under Seasonal Rot. And then there was the talk about how darker works were seen as more mature and more "adult" like and the flame wars they caused.
I assume we can keep this because we're recognizing our own Dork Age, but maybe remove the sinkhole?

Rock'n'roll never dies!I'm iffy about keeping the example, personally... but yes, the sinkhole can go. It doesn't even make sense in context.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Removed the wick.
Rock'n'roll never dies!I went to edit the pothole out of the Unintentionally Unsympathetic entry on My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Forgotten Friendship but the entry has a notice not to edit it without further discussion, as the entry and its ROCEJ pothole were approved by the Unintentionally Unsympathetic cleanup thread. Does the decision to limit ROCEJ sinkholes overturn this decision? Should I ask about this issue on that thread?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Considering that the decision in that thread is from September and the rule about not potholing it was added to the page in March, I think it's safe to remove it.
The other thread's still active, it can be brought up there.
But I think current policy would say remove the pothole.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Awesome. BTW is it safe to also remove links to ROCEJ if they briefly mention a figure is controversial and pothole "controversial" to ROCEJ? I assume some people may need a genuine reminder if a topic is particularly Flame Bait-y, but sometimes the controversial aspect doesn't need to be mentioned at all, and often the entry itself just is asking for trouble. (My theory is an entry that links to the ROCEJ is more likely to just be straight-up violating it.)
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. We don't, to the best of my knowledge, pothole reminders to other wiki rules in example text. We should be treating this one the same way.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I noticed that this potholes are sometimes used to sneak in Broken Base entries without having to abide by the rules of the trope.
I’m assuming the pothole at the end of this paragraph on Socialist Realism can go?
The legacy of Socialist Realism is hotly debated, at least among people with an interest in such things. Surprisingly, it's not quite as split among political lines as one might think. There are some who call themselves capitalists who claim the genre had some merits, note and there are those who call themselves communists who claim that the genre was the Soviet Union's greatest atrocity.note But perhaps it's best to leave it there.

back lolYeah, that sentence can get deleted entirely.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. If there's major fandom drama going on... say, the Dexit controversy with Pokémon Sword and Shield, should we leave the ROCEJ sinkhole in the description?
Rock'n'roll never dies!I think it's because it should be marked as YMMV, but isn't.
I'm back!I know this is an old thread, but this is from Analysis.Artistic License Paleontology.
- The Prehistoric Monster trope goes hand-in-hand with this one, especially in older works. Most such monsters often purposely dispense with accuracy for the sake of audience appeal, partly due to Science Marches On, but also because of laziness (especially when a Slurpasaur is involved) or intentional throwbacks to such an aesthetic. Whether it's acceptable to enjoy such depictions despite their inaccuracies is a topic too volatile to discuss here.
I thought ROCEJ was mostly for sensitive topics like politics, religion, gender and sexuality, mental illnesses and so forth. Though I guess scientific accuracy of depicting prehistoric animals is Serious Business to some...
But I think we can simply cut that last sentence with the Sinkhole. The sentence kind of suggests that people who think it's unacceptable to enjoy media with inaccurate prehistoric monsters also have a point...

Current wick count at 1478.
From YMMV.Spore under That One Achievement.
- The infamous "Bad Baby" achievement that was eventually patched out, which you earn by getting one of your creations banned from Spore. This stroke of genius effectively rewarded players for creating less than tasteful content. What they created will not be mentioned. Period.
You can just cut that "What they created..." bit.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Wick count is 1507.
Done. Also dumped the Sarcasm Mode sinkhole while I was there.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. From CowboyBebopAtHisComputer.Western Animation, under the Futurama part.
- On Google, one user left a one-star review in 2020, interpreting a supposedly recently-aired episode where Richard Nixon becomes a cyborg as an anti-Trump Author Tract (specifically pointing at a bumper sticker saying “Impeach This”). Ignoring more controversial matters (as well as the fact that the series ended years ago), the episode in question was “A Head in the Polls”, which aired a full two decades before the 2020 election.
I'll just rewrite it to focus on the straight-up inaccuracy.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
It has been decided that those "and that's all we'll say about that" codas are bad and should be removed. We've got a lot of them.
