Works can have any number of video examples. They're like text examples, not like page images.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I can't edit one of my video examples anymore. I accidentally left a special character in my video description and now I can't edit the video anymore no matter how many times I click the gear icon. It happened with another example I had where I left a special character in the description and I can no longer edit it. When I add my descriptions to the video, I would first type it on Microsoft Word and then copy and paste it to the description. The special character in question is a unique-looking quotation mark and apostrophe.
Okay, first thing, turn off "smart quotes" in your Word settings. Second, don't use Word to compose things for tvtropes. Use a plain text editor like Notepad.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.WesternAnimation.Jimmy Neutron has two videos despite being a disambiguation between the movie and the TV series. If the uploader of either of these videos is reading this, please change the source to the correct page.
Keet cleanupSo I tried uploading a video for the Bar Brawl trope twice. The first time didn’t work, and the second time started to but it won’t get further than 10%. What do I do?
I tried refreshing the page, but then the video is broken when it uploads.
Trying to upload a video to the site for the first time but I need help, specifically in getting something of decent quality; the clip I managed to get managed to get pixel-y and I didn't notice until I managed to upload it. It's under review now and I hope they don't accept it since I can do better if I get some advice on how to get something decent quality.
Edit: Okay, figured it out. Can the mods please decline the first two attempts? Neither of them are good quality.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJust delete them yourself. Click the gear icon on the edit videos page.
Oh, thanks ~
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness...Well, the 10% glitch is happening again it seems. Is there a fix for it at all, or do I just need to wait it out? It's incredibly frustrating and has been happening for hours now.
Edit: So I guess waiting for a while did fix it. I just hope there can be a proper fix for this at some point.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIs there a recurring bug where all the videos on a page disappeared? This seems to be the case with Kid Icarus: Uprising.
I'm mainly a fan of underrated media. The videos are still there, but the video examples page isn't linked. I think that happens if a video is deleted/rejected. You can get it to show up again by manually editing the media sources.
Thanks for the link.
I'm mainly a fan of underrated media. What does it mean when it says "No Compatible Source Found for this Media"? It's an error message I've been getting constantly today and I don't know why.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI try inserting a video example for the Filthy Fun trope by using a clip from the live-action Charlotte's Web where Wilbur slips and lives in the mud. Unfortunately, when the video finishes uploading I can't view it because it reads "no compatible source was found for this media". I try uploading it through different servers (Quick Time, MLK player, VLC, only to get the exact same result. EVERY! SINGLE! TIME! I don't get it! I followed the rules of video uploading exactly! What could the problem be? I mean just a few days ago I was able to do add video examples with no trouble at all! Could you please fix this accursed glitch so I can successfully upload the video I'm dying to add and people will be able to review it and thus add it to the film page?
Ngh 93Hmm, just got the "Vimeo uploading stuck on 10%" thing. I wonder if it's a problem on their end?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢It happens to me about 99% of the time. It's very weird. I also seem to get cloudflare error messages when it happens too.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSo I let the video sit and now it shows up fine, so I guess if you get that problem just close the tab and let the video load on its own?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Yeah, it seems to do the trick most of the time.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've been trying to upload a video for a few days now and it just won't go through. It's a clip from Now You See It... and doesn't breach the time limit or anything, so I'm not sure what could be causing it, but it just isn't working.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNot really sure where to add this, but it looks like someone went thru and gave low ratings to what were the highest rated videos. I think the Spider-Man video for Ascended Meme was the highest (or very close to the top), but someone gave it a 1 rating, which makes zero sense. This seems to be the case with other videos that I remember being there or submitted myself. Don't know if this is "against the rules" but felt it should be reported.
Ratings aren't very useful at the moment, so that isn't a big deal. We need much more sorting options for them to be useful. Like sorting them by highest rating in the week/month/year or by number of votes, etc.
Yes, I feel the number of votes is in some ways more interesting than the actual rating.
We're currently on the Magnificent Bastard clean up thread and are trying to decide between a couple of videos for the page, but someone brought up just putting both on the page. Can works have more than one video and, if so, is there a max?
Think you're tough because you made it through Lord of the Rings? Real men survive The Silmarillion.
