Would the advertising for New Warriors (2020) count? I'm pretty sure most people know of it for the infamy of having two non-binary characters called Snowflake and Safespace.

That sounds like an issue with the comic itself, doesn't seem like the comic ever officially came out, but unless it's officially cancelled we probably can't list it.

An entry on the New Warriors can't be added until six months after its initial release. According to the Marvel wiki, the first issues are set to be released this October, although I don't know if they've already been released yet.

Either way, No Recent Examples, Please! still applies. Assuming the October release date is final, you can't list an Overshadowed by Controversy entry until April 2021.

So since we cut the other Trump example before, here's another I found on Live-Action TV:

Not so sure about that one, it is pretty accurate and to the point. Though I’m all for cutting it if it does prove too problematic still. Maybe remove the part about record low approval ratings though, that does seem factually sketchy.

I'd say probably keep the example since he was clearly OBC. I think NBC cut ties with his version of The Apprentice during his campaign. Only issue is whether it's technically a recent example, but he's already had controversy for a while.. But yeah cut anything casting judgment.

The way it was originally worded could be misinterpreted as the entire Instagram app being fake news (which would be funny given that Instagram's parent company (Facebook) has been accused of condoning harmful fake news) according to some rather than just Itsines' feed.

Probably not. I haven't heard much about it anyway. If someone has however, feel free to say so.

It didn't fit at the time. The arguments against self-driving cars are on the merits of the idea. There's no separate controversy overshadowing it.

I haven't heard of the officer video in years, if I ever saw it to begin with. Also agree with the above, a product can't be overshadowed simply by people disagreeing with the basic idea behind it. There's no specific controversy, the idea is controversial.

Unless that episode has some meta controversy attached to it, then it's more or less saying the episode is overshadowed by...the episode itself? Again, if the basic premise of the work is what's controversial, nothing is "overshadowed."

This entry on the "Automobiles" section is not only rather long, but reads more fit for The Alleged Car than here:

"The Cadillac Cimarron, GM's first attempt at a luxury compact, front-wheel drive sedan was, in and of itself, not that bad of a vehicle when introduced in 1982, no worse than the identical Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunbird (as well as the Buick Skyhawk and Oldsmobile Firenza). In fact, the Cadillac, on paper and in some actual respects, was a better car than it J-car siblings given equipment that was either optional on the other J-cars or in some cases not even available (for instance, tuned suspension and beefier stabilizer bars), and had standard air conditioning, leather interior and power outside remote mirrors, all options on the other J-cars.

However, the vehicle also had a four-cylinder engine that, while certainly competent, was unbefitting of a Cadillac, with no optional engine (or larger, more powerful engine ... let alone a marque-exclusive one) even offered ... also, a standard four-speed manual transmission (purportedly because other entry-level luxury vehicles from Europe also had manual-shift transmissions standard) meant customers had to order the automatic transmission (the only type of transmission offered in Cadillacs since at least 1953).

Additionally, many automobile writers and testers preferred the European luxury makes' entry-level luxury cars (such as the BMW 325i and Mercedes-Benz 190D), which they said handled and performed better than what was essentially a Chevrolet Cavalier with a Cadillac price ... and despite its $12,000 standard price (for 1982), buyers still had to order such conveniences as power windows, door locks and seats (which had been standard on virtually every Cadillac model for years).

Obvious cut is obvious. The 2020 Wisconsin primary being a coronavirus mess doesn't overshadow the rest of the state's politics.

I haven't even heard Wisconsin singled out among all the states known for controversial coronavirus outbreaks. All I know about Wisconsin is cheese.
