Watching the latest episode of Pokémon: Twilight Wings taught me that Milotic's pronounced MY-lo-tick, not MEE-lo-tick.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"I thought Jorge was just another way of saying George until I saw a video from Blame It On Jorge, where he says his name.
It's been 3000 years…Well then, I'm even more wrong. I thought it was similar to "melodic."
No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.I always thought 'reprise' was pronounced 'RE-prEYEse' and not 'ruh-prEASE'
simple asI say uncouth wrong.
I don't care what people say it rhymes with mouth, not youth.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis Carroll"Carbine".
It's "CAR-been", not "car-BINE".
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von Lewisup until fourth grade i pronounced 3 as a homophone of tree. then everyone laughed at me and i figured out that wasnt the case

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSo apparently, the Japanese name "Watanabe" is pronounced "WAH-ta-NAH-bay?" I always thought it was "wa-TAH-na-bay."
No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.For me, I thought continuity was "continue-in-ity" for some reason.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Is it "lasagne" or "lasagna"?
Clearly, it's "lasaga." :P
Seriously though, I've never heard anyone use "lasagne," only "lasagna."
No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.Same, but even though I know the correct pronounciation, I still pronounce it ep-it-toem in my head sometimes.
I still can't say "caricature" correctly - I always end up saying "cariacture".
I don't know why, but the latter spelling feels more correct to me, even though I know it makes no sense.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming. It's more of a surname, but back then, I pronounced Fitzgerald as "fitz-ghe-rald".
I pronounced the g as a hard g instead of a soft one.
How? Possibly a Language Barrier, because in Indonesian, g usually, if not always, makes a hard g sound.
artsy geek | any pronouns | "well, if you're hearing this, then chances are you've made a very poor career choice."I thought Jorge was just another way of saying George until I saw a video from Blame It On Jorge, where he says his name.
Funny thing, in Halo: Reach, it is pronounced like George. Weird.
Xbox/PlayStation: IndiGhost77 | on semi-hiatusThis reminds me of a Running Gag in Club Dread - there's a character named Penelope, but another character reads it off her nametag as "PEEN-a-lohp", and consistently calls her that throughout the rest of the movie.

Most English words I've seen written often, but haven't heard said out loud. One example is "reagent", which I used to pronounce the same as "regent" and didn't pick on that I'm supposed to pronounce the "a" in the middle. I also thought that "continuity" was pronounced something like "conn-ti-new-ity". It doesn't help that English grammar has more exceptions than rules when it comes to spelling and pronunciation.
Are fictional things words? I've mispronounced a lot of them wrong but it's usually due to be being bilingual.
Like "Dedenne". It's spelled like "antenne" (which is antenna in French) but its pronounced "de-de-ne" in Japanese.

Until recently, I always said Quebec as "key-yu-beck"
(it's actually "kweh-beck")
EDIT: My mom was wrong. According to my dad, it's actually "kuh-beck." But I swear, if this turns out wrong as well......

i forgot to pronounce the second Y in my name. for over a DECADE
I used to pronounce "inventory" as "in-VENT-uh-ree," not "IN-ven-tor-ree." To be honest, whenever I see it written down, I still pronounce it that way in my head
For me, a SBC, is Peh-neh-loh-peh.
If there's a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it. Toni Morrison
