This thread is for cleaning up pages that violate the No Lewdness, No Prudishness policy.
Do not use this thread for reporting pages that need to be cut for violating The Content Policy. Report pages that appear too lewd or gushy to have on the wiki using the "Report Page" button on the sidebar, with the checkbox saying "The page may violate the Content Policy" checked. That will create a thread on the Content Violation Discussions subforum. The thread will be opened by a mod if the report is valid, and if it's deemed necessary, the page will be cleaned according to the Content Policy. (The list of pages that were deemed problematic can be found on The Content Policy's page.)
No Lewdness:
"Lewdness" is more than just being about something sexual or potentially sexual. Here are some signs of lewd writing:
- Personal opinions on hotness. Examples should stand on their own without the introduction of YMMV material. Adding your own thoughts and feelings on an example is an opinion, same as calling an example good or bad. Don't do it. Don't try and extend your feelings to a larger group of fans either, e.g. "...and fangirls everywhere rejoiced". You're not fooling anyone.
- Overly detailed examples. The example doesn't need to be an exact sensory account of the event. Too much of that and you end up sounding like you're writing porn. When in doubt, drop a few adjectives.
- Unrelated fanservice mentions. If the hot bits aren't related to the example, they don't belong in the example.
- Pornographic writing. If you're writing porn, it should be somewhere other than the wiki. Keep it Family Friendly.
- Titillation links. Tell, don't show. We don't need screen shots to illustrate NSFW fanservice. If a reader is really curious, they can go look it up on Google. (See also Weblinks Are Not Examples.)
- Pedo gushing. We don't need to describe children sexually. This should be cut immediately. We're not interested in hosting pedophilia fantasies. Period. If a work contains children having sex, even if portrayed negatively, report it as a potential violation of The Content Policy using the "Report Page" button◊ in the sidebar.
- Talking about actors instead of characters. An actor is not the character they play. When you're writing an example about a work, refer to the character, not the actor. This applies to non-sexual references, but too often it's tropers writing about how they find certain actors hot. That doesn't fit in character examples.
- Thinking a page with a Not Safe for Work subject is license to be lewd. Even when we discuss porn, we are about just stating the facts.
- Fanfic Recs for underage sex. We will not host any recommendation for fics that have explicit sex involving people apparently or actually younger than 16. Period. We categorically do not recommend fics with sex in which at least one participant:
- This applies even if all parties are underage.
No Prudishness:
- Don't cutlist or gut pages just because they're about sexual topics. Sex exists. It's used in media a lot. You'll just need to cope with that fact. Relationships, fanservice, and sexual activity all fall into their own tropes as a result.
- Don't be a Bluenose Bowdlerizer. We're not looking to censor all sex off the wiki. If the sex and sexuality is an honest part of the work and relevant to the example, it belongs there.
- The wiki is not rated G. We aren't sanitizing the wiki for small children. Sex and sexuality are part of media and we aren't going to ignore them. This wiki is Family Friendly, not Unsupervised Small Child Friendly. This isn't an excuse to make work pages dirtier than the work itself, as the above No Lewdness section makes clear, but neither is it an excuse to make those pages cleaner than the work itself.

@Surfboard Dude: My Little Pony porn. Inflation should also be banned due to it occasionally being used on animals or children. Honestly all that was the reason the fetish fuel wiki was deleted, because people were simping over weird fetishes. My question is, if we're banning furry art from the site, should we delete the Furry Fandom trope or Furry Fandom? Because that's a can of worms I'd rather not open. And we should probably remove the Rule thirty four trope too.

Fair warning: I can get pretty emotional and take things too seriously.I see zero reason to ban furry art or furry fandom.
Edited by Amonimus on Apr 13th 2023 at 7:37:50 PM
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupLet's not use the "all furries are into it sexually" stereotype, okay?
Regardless, this isn't where such matters get discussed or decided. Just focus on the example.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness"Inflation should also be banned due to it occasionally being used on animals or children."
Uh, can't you say that about a lot of fetishes (unfortunately)? I don't see what makes inflation so uniquely gross.
And yeah, cutting furry-related tropes because some furry stuff is sexual is ridiculous. We have one locked definition page on Yiff and everything else is pretty standard. This is veering into prudishness territory.
As for the example, IDK, cuz it is meant to be Crossing the Line Twice on the page and it isn't detailed, but it does encourage people to try and to the previous ones.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.at the very least, do we have to have CP listed on that? feels tasteless to me.

Stan GaruKaru for clear skinPer this, remind me if we have a cover ban on Ms. Fanservice of some kind or it's all case-by-case.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI believe it's case-by-case, but don't take that as gospel.
Hi, could I please get some opinions on these Unfortunate Character Design examples for Pokémon? I feel like they are trying way too hard to make innocuous things look sexual.
- Some of the player characters have some pretty questionable designs for what are supposed to be 10-to-15 year olds. Of note are May's◊ latex short shorts, and Dawn's◊ short skirt that barely covers her hips, which she doesn't even replace◊ in Platinum.
The links are dead, but this is May and this is Dawn. Their designs don't look particularly provocative to me.
- Lance's sprite◊ in Gen II looks like he's flashing the player. This has led to the meme "Lance is a pervert".
Lance is just doing the classic "Open the cape like wings to look more intimidating" pose. I Googled this supposed meme, and the only result I could find was this article.
- Eusine's official art◊ for Crystal. Look carefully at his right hand... looks kind of like he's flipping us off, doesn't it?
To me, it doesn't. His hand is clearly relaxed with all fingers pointing upwards.
- Team Flare's soft-serve ice-cream hairstyles look more like poo to some detractors.
- Sordward's hair is supposed to resemble a sword, but when it sways in the wind and flops sadly after losing a battle, you can't help but see a phallic resemblance.
This one is probably okay◊.

the Dawn and Misty examples are kind of especilially gross. there's nothing "questionable" about their outfits, they look like something a regular teenage girl would wear. those "latex" shorts are fine, and Dawn's skirt is not that short.
the pervy Lance sprite is also a reach, that looks nothing like he's flashing someome. Eusine's hand looks wonky but it doesn't look like he's flipping us off. also not seeing the Team Flare doodoo/Sordward penis sword hairstyles.

Stan GaruKaru for clear skinEusine's example i can see, but it isn't too notable unless someone tells you or you know what too look for.
50/50 on that example.

Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.Cut all entries for human characters in Pokémon.
(x4) I think the Sordward one counts as I recall people comparing his hair to a... you know... Anyways, I feel the Lance one is misuse (this trope doesn't seem to involve poses) and I agree that the others are reaches. If it helps, I've never seen anyone compare Team Flare's hairstyles to feces.
Edited by RandomTroper123 on May 13th 2023 at 4:20:45 AM
I added the Sordward one because I saw a streamer play the game and she and everyone in chat immediately made jokes about its shape.
Everything else is a stretch, and some of them are about character poses which feels different from character design.
Edited by mightymewtron on May 13th 2023 at 7:35:35 AM
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah those are super stretchy. The only one I'd support keeping is Sordward.
Keep Sordward.
Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.Okay, I've kept Sordward and deleted everything else.
Can someone ring up Tropes.gmd189? I was just taking a look at Uncool Undies's wicks and noticed his edits seem to be almost exclusively on male underwear exposure/embarrassment with being seen with no pants. I already changed one of his edits on Unnatural History but I wanted to make sure I wasn't overthinking.
Actually, they were reported back in January on ATT. We didn't go for a suspension because they were new and we didn't want to jump the gun...but since they only seem to be interested in underwear related tropes at this point, I'll issue a suspension.
Macron's notesHey guys, bringing up a few more Unfortunate Character Design examples that seem to be editors seeing sexual stuff where there isn't any:
- Don Flamenco of Punch-Out!! has a long nose with large nostrils, looking not unlike a certain genitalia. However, considering this is Don Flamenco we're talking about, this was likely intentional.
Concept art◊. A bit forced?
- As soon as the titular villain of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric begins flying around, he looks a little too much like a sperm for comfort. Considering what the rest of the game has to offer, though, this is the least of your worries.
I pity the man whose sperm looks like this◊.
- Sakura's character select artwork in Street Fighter IV: Just try to unsee this image (site is NSFW).
Lacks context and relies on a link (You probably should NOT click on it).
And from Shirtless Scene, a link to what appears to be a pornographic blog.
- The actual number of times this has happened to various superheroes is too many to list, especially including characters with nothing but shirtless scenes (Namor, Hulk, etc.). It's safe to say that every male hero and villain has had one of these. Except the Blob, of course.
- Shirtless Superheroes covers a lot of instances in which male superheroes appear shirtless or in other states of undress.
Cut it all?
Cut it all.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCut it all yeah.
Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice. The Rhythm Heaven section of Memes.Nintendo has a plug for minus8's porn parody, which I'm a) not sure is kosher and b) pretty sure isn't as well-known as anything else in that section.
- The infamous Rule 34 parody of Fever's Remix 10 (by Minus8, called "Fever X", if you're curious).
Done.

I've consulted this thread about this "meme" before and it was decided that it's neither an example of the trope or something we wish to advertise on this site. Go ahead and cut it.
Speaking of, in Memes.Spongebob Squarepants, there's this devious entry (only reveal the spoiler if the most bizarre of NSFW concepts don't disturb you much):
- Sandy Cheeks Cock VoreExplanation (NSFW)
Of course, technically this does count as i have seen the concept (not the full image itself) of memes describing this and well, the example doesnt show anything and only links to a meme relating to it, but idk, is this too much?
Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.
And yet they didn't use "Yiff" in place of Furry Porn?
Anyway yeah I feel like that can be cut.
