This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.

That's the thing, I didn't think the old quote fit the trope at all (since it talks about time travel and using the phlebotinum to get two characters meet, with absolutely 0 indication of shipping), and I would have suggested to cut it outright even if there wasn't a replacement handy.
For Impaled with Extreme Prejudice, I actually prefer the one from Fate/Apocrypha. Although between your two options, I lean more towards one from Vampire Of Steel.

On March 1, Yukianesa changed the quote on Dark Messiah without an edit reason from this:

I think the old one depicts the trope better, even though Judd Hammond isn't intentionally a Dark Messiah; he's actually depicted as the hero.

Honestly, I don't like either that much. First is just shouting and the second is a bit long. Quotes page has a few concise ones, including a more succinct version of the SU quote.

I find the suggestion of the Steven Universe quote good by comparison. I feel Gogeta's quote is an uninspired one-liner, and the other suggestion is too simple and short.

What to Put at the Top of a Page pretty much says no potholes in page quotes, so I stripped them all.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
Swapped in the Fusion Dance quote. Kept the part about Amethyst since I figured Pearl should mention who she fuses with to create Opal.

I thought it was allowed to link to works in page quotes. In this case, it makes up for the missing context of the quote and helps readers who may not know who the Raiden and Dante being discussed are. I think their names should be potholed to Metal Gear and Devil May Cry respectively.
IIRC, it's allowed to link the work titles directly, but not pothole them in characters' name. If the quote doesn't work without you knowing who the referred characters are, then it probably needs to be replaced.
