So. Personal opinions on the main wiki aren't allowed, be they gushing or bashing. Now, bashing gets tolerated even less than gushing, and that makes sense; it leads to more flamewars.
But that doesn't mean we have to live with all the gushing either. This thread can serve as a center for keeping it in check. One function might be to alert people to pages that are really heavy in gushing, to the point that it's not just a quick fix and will need some assistance.
Rizzoli and Isles aren't even canonically gay, apparently, just kind of baiting it. So this is just gushing about Les Yay.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. So just cut the whole thing?
If it's not meant to be UST then it's probably cutworthy, but I'm not familiar enough with the show to outright say it's not gay at all. Just that they never became canon and may not have been intended to, at least not early on.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Idea for a fix for the Wolverine example, though it could do with a bit more context on what usually happens when he uses his claws on regular people.
- Wolverine's claws should, when used on any 'normal' living creature or person, produce a lot of carnage. This is rarely depicted, though sometimes works such as X-Force or the Uncaged Edition of X-Men Origins: Wolverine show how messy being attacked by metal claws can be.
It just needs a little more context though. Perhaps a comic book fan could help?

Kirby is awesome.I challenge anyone to find a more gushy and rambly page than CrazyAwesome.Real Life. I just went through it for the TRS effort here and dear god.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt would be great if a comic book fan could add some context as I'm not very familiar with Wolverine.
Kirby is awesome.WesternAnimation.Baby Looney Tunes has this paragraph:

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Reception on the main page, cut.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. This is on YMMV.Black Panther 2018. This is probably the most gushy Sacred Cow entry I've seen.
- Sacred Cow: This movie was a long-awaited and spectacularly executed cultural touchstone for African-American audiences, particularly Black children who finally had a role model on the big screen. Chadwick Boseman is this by extension, and criticism went from unadvisable to unthinkable after his sudden, tragic death in 2020.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Would a thread for removing shipping proselytization be a bad idea?
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”The idea that Chadwick Boseman became uncriticizable after his death might be worth recording, although as far as I know, nobody was especially doing that to begin with.
I'm just not too keen on calling a real person a Sacred Cow, that just seems like something that's easily flammable.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Very much agreed, especially since we are talking about Black Panther, which was targeted pretty heavily by the alt-right.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThe entry doesn't look that bad to me, and it was certainly true for some time. At worst it needs more context on why it is/was so hard to criticize the film without getting backlash.
I feel like Chadwick was subject to Posthumous Popularity Potential, and it doesn't feel wrong to point that out. Sacred Cow is not NRLEP (yet?) and I think it's fine to point out that culture surrounding his role in the film. It doesn't look like it's complaining about the guy or overly gushing about him.
@Deli: I actually had a similar idea a while ago, so yeah, a "removing Shipping Goggles" cleanup thread would be good.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I'm fine with that, I'm part of the Ho Yay cleanup thread where we try to rewrite stuff to be more objective/less gushy among other things, applying that to the rest of the site wouldn't be a bad idea. I was actually just thinking about how the main Homoerotic Subtext page could use some short-term cleanup as it's got a bunch of ZCE and Ho Yay mixed in with the legitimate examples.

My idea was more to remove people seeing shippy stuff where it's not there, which often overlaps with Ho Yay but it spills on the main page. Oddly my main inspiration for the cleanup is The Nostalgia Critic which has some entries about ships that may not fit.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I want it to be general.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”How general? Covering any shipping tropes that get misused? That still fits with my basic idea. We can just also cut gushiness and shipping wars.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I was thinkin' 'bout the latter.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Yeah I'm down for that! You can make the thread in Long-Term (cuz shipping will never die.)
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. What should the opening post be?

"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”This is the only entry on Trivia.DARQ
- Doing It for the Art: Wlad Marhulet's refusal to sell the game exclusively on the Epic Games Store after promising to give it a Steam release was motivated by his dedication to making a game for the players to enjoy, rather than for the money in it. His decision to produce further DLC stages in response to criticisms of the game's short length and not to charge for them was driven by the same principle.
This just seems speculative and just gushing about the creator.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Would a cleanup of CoolPlane.Real Life be in order? A lot of the entries definitely feel like unsupported praise/arguing and can be cut down substantially, especially in the Gulf War+ folder that seems to be a magnet for nationalist/urban legend posturing.
