Evil Craig is a web series formerly hosted by Screwattack that ran on their website and YouTube from 2012-2016, and currently free to watch
on Rooster Teeth.
The show features short videos from Stuttering Craig as "Evil Craig", listing reasons on why we HATE certain works, in a satirical manner. It ended and Evil Craig was fired after people wouldn't buy his shirts. An attempt to reboot the series was made in 2020 on Hang Time's channel, with four new episodes, but they're currently unlisted now.
Mom! Get me some examples!
- Accentuate the Negative: The whole point of the series is about listing reasons he hates certain works, and not much else.
- Always Someone Better: According to him, there's always someone better than everyone else on video games, which makes him feel bad about himself.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Some reasons for hating things can be ridiciulous. For example, he can go from complaining about DLC, DRM, and DDR to not knowing whether video games is one word or two words in the Video Games episode.
- Basement-Dweller: He lives in his mom's basement, and all of the episodes are filmed there.
- Camera Screw: Invoked. The beginning of the second Zelda episode begins with Craig yelling at someone to fix the camera.
- Child Hater: In Video Games, he complains about children talking like they think they're adults and shouting swears at him online.
- Couch Gag: Every episode ends with him making some random, violent, sometimes funny threat to the viewer if they don't like the video or buy his shirt. The first few episodes are the exception to this, as they usually end with someone else talking about clicking on a different video.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Craig has shown shades of this in his Konami video, citing his disapproval of their treatment of Hideo Kojima twice, as well as talking about internet service providers using their power to "fuck everybody" and govern your internet speed.
- Fan Hater: Frequently complains about other video game fans as Fat Slobs.
- It's Easy, So It Sucks!: Invoked. In Video Games, he believes video games today are generally too easy.
- Jerkass: Craig's show is about being as negative as possible, this is only a given. He's often rude about some of his complaints, not to mention the whole show is mostly complaining.
- No Indoor Voice: Craig only has a few select moments where he's not shouting, and even then that usually leads into Suddenly Shouting.
- Running Gag: The one thing he does love is pancakes, and he'll often randomly yell for his mom to make him pancakes whenever his train of thought leads into something involving a mom.
- A good majority of the episodes have one of the reasons listed as "All you stupid fanboys who take this shit way too seriously!"
- Self-Deprecating Humor: A running theme in the series. When mentioning how "Twitter's for assholes", he shows an image of his own Twitter account. In the same episode, when talking about "all those idiots who put shit online that should be censored", he shows a clip of himself in a previous episode. And in Video Games he says he hates people who set up a camera and some lights and yell about video games.
- To the Pain: Craig will often give out really vulgar and drawn out descriptions of what he's gonna do to you if you don't hit the like button on his videos.
- They Copied It, Now It Sucks: Invoked. He calls out a stage in Street Fighter V for having two characters fighting in the background in a stage, as a "rip-off" of Mortal Kombat II's Pit stage.
