"I have Jack locked away in the farthest reaches of his mind. I'm gonna be the one they all cheer for again. No more circles. No more resets. No more of everything getting taken away from me. This body belongs to me now."
Anti

"Septiscape" is a fan game created for Youtuber and Let's Player Jacksepticeye, as well as for his community. It was created by Power of Friends Games and is the first part of a trilogy.

Jack wakes up one day trapped inside his own mind, where his egos live. Though at first it seems to be a cheerful place where all the characters in his mind live in harmony, the egos themselves have become possessed with their own insecurities, and maybe even Anti himself. Jack insists that Anti is doing this to be malicious, but the other egos, Henrik in particular, refuse to listen to him. They think that Anti can be redeemed. But can he?

This game is available for free at GameJolt.

This Game provides examples of:

  • Absurdly Long Wait: Fortunately, Jack was unconscious while Chase was searching for him because he was waiting in that dungeon for a full week.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Henrik has come a long way since his disastrous attempt to operate on a board game. In fact, his doctorate is legitimate in this game and he has a lot of important research that becomes very valuable later on.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Angus is misunderstood, but he is an antagonist in this game. He has never shown any evil inclinations on the channel.
  • Adult Child: Robbie is an adorable, fully-grown zombie who appears to be the same age as the others but needs to live with Bing, as he is a danger to himself.
  • Apocalyptic Log: Tapes can be found scattered throughout the lab, detailing Henrik's experiments before his unfortunate encounter with Anti.
  • Artistic License – Biology: Flavor text in the game states that an ordinary shrub is a cactus. This is never brought up or mentioned again, so it seems to be a very bizarre joke.
  • Book Ends: This game begins and ends with Jack in his house.
  • Booze-Based Buff: In the Mindscape, Jameson heals all wounds.
  • Born as an Adult: The characters in the Mindscape were created when Jack created them. So, as a result, they were never children.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: The scene with the Couchial of Elders tells you a story about how one of the developers was mocked for putting a couch in a bathroom.
  • Dark Is Not Evil:
    • Anti is dressed in all black but turns out not to be bad.
    • Nega is grouchy, but not specifically bad either.
  • Developer's Room: This can be seen after the game's ending credits.
  • Easily Forgiven: Anti wreaks some havoc in the Mindscape that causes many of the characters to relive some of their most horrific memories. He is instantly forgiven for this.
  • Foreshadowing: A picture of Angus is seen on the wall not long before he is revealed to be the Big Bad.
  • Good Versus Good: Neither Jack nor Anti are evil, and Angus isn't, either. The game still forces them to fight.
  • Good Angel, Bad Angel: Posi and Nega.
  • Hurricane of Puns: Beneath Attitude City, Jack and his ego companions make quite a few sewer-based puns. They later do the same in the forest outside of Marvin's illusionary circus tent.
  • Identical Stranger: Well, they're not exactly strangers, but Jack and the egos are essentially identical. Not surprising, as they're all based on Jack himself.
  • Mood Whiplash: The developers did their best to avoid this, but this game can get extremely dark at a moment's notice. What's more, villains with dark psychological names effects are everywhere, even in scenes that are otherwise fairly lighthearted.
  • Mr. Exposition: Henrik and Chase are this at times.
  • Nice Guy: All of our protagonists.
  • Not in Kansas Anymore: Does it count if the Mindscape is technically inside Jack's head? Regardless, he knows he's not home.
  • One-Hit Kill: Jackie does this when they arrive in Attitude City and meet him for the first time.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Henrik tragically lost an infant daughter before the events of the game.
  • The Reveal: Angus and Anti are the same person? Who knew??
  • Running Gag: The couches never stop appearing.
  • Time Dilation: Apparently, it took Chase a week to find Jack in his dungeon. This is never explained fully, so it appears that Anti has had control of Jack for a long time.
  • Thinking Out Loud: Anti does this at the start of the game in order to clue the audience in that he's taken over Jack's body.
  • True Companions: Throughout the game, the egos and Jack get much closer and learn to work together.
  • Twist Ending: Angus and Anti have been sharing a consciousness for a while, which is why all of this has been happening. And Anti's not even evil!
  • Two Beings, One Body: Anti takes over Jack's body, locking him away in his own mind. Similarly, Angus takes Anti's.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Marvin has the ability to transform into a cat at will.
